Name:My Mr. Soldier Author:Xing Chen
That morning, when Cherry got downstairs, she found that Lily had cooked breakfast.

Jackson was finished with his morning exercises and coming back in the house. When he saw Cherry standing in the living room, he went to greet her.

"Is Joe up yet?" asked Jackson.

"No, not yet." replied Cherry.

Jackson turned and asked Lily, "Lily, could you please go upstairs and wake Joe up?"

"Yes." Lily replied and headed up the stairs.

Jackson took Cherry's hand and led her to the dining room, "Let's have breakfast."

Joe came scrambling downstairs a while later, and saw his parents were already having breakfast in the dining room. He sat down and started eating quietly.

Cherry looked at Joe and said, "Joe, I will be driving you to school today."

"That's great!" said Joe smiling sweetly at his Mother.

Jackson had a worried look as he asked Cherry, "Will you be late getting to work if you take Joe to school first?"

"No, it will be okay." replied Cherry.

Jackson went silent and enjoyed his repast.

Not long after breakfast, Cherry and Joe set out.

Joe sat in his Mommy's car looking out the window with a puzzled expression, "Mommy, why don't you let Daddy drive me to school and then take you to work?" he asked.

"Because Daddy is very busy. He already has lots to do. Have you forgotten about his job? He handles the day to day operations." Cherry explained to Joe patiently.

"Oh, I see, " said Joe lowering his head and fiddling with his fingers.

"Well, Joe." Cherry said out of the blue and she hastily asked her son, "I was wondering, if you have any hobbies or interests? I was thinking maybe you could take a course in one of the Arts."

"One of the Arts? Do you mean like painting, singing or something?" Joe asked his Mommy seriously.

"Yes." replied Cherry nodding.

"Mommy, to be honest, I am interested in learning to play the piano. It would be amazing to create beautiful music with my fingers, " said Joe.

"The piano? Good, I like that! I'll talk it over with Daddy and get a piano teacher to come tutor you at home, " said Cherry.

"Okay. That sounds great!" said Joe.

"But, Joe, will you be stressed with your school studies and learning the piano after school? Will it be too much for you?" asked Cherry. She wanted to make sure that Joe really wanted to learn to play the piano.

"No, It won't be hard at all. My school work is too easy. Besides, at home I can learn things I enjoy. So, I will be very happy." Joe said in an innocent way.

"That's wonderful my good boy! I will arrange for a piano teacher as soon as I discuss it with your Daddy, okay?" Cherry said smiling.

"Yay!" Joe exclaimed happily looking at his Mommy.

After dropping her son off at school, Cherry drove to the H King Group.

Jackson called a meeting with several of the senior management like usual when he reached the bar. Afterwards, he sat in the front office browsing through the files.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Come in!" Jackson called out. A waiter entered.

"Mr. Jackson, your presence is needed in the VIP room. A female guest is quarreling with Susan, one of our staff." The waiter stood at the door respectfully.

"Susan?" repeated Jackson. He suddenly thought of who that was, got up, and left the office.

When he got to the VIP corridor, Jackson saw a crowd gathering not far off.

Su

"You're my wife in name only, on paper only. My heart and love will never be yours."

Edward made it clear to Daisy that she was nothing to him. They were both victims of family greed -- the marriage was arranged for them.

Six years passed. She remained quiet, gaining a reputation in the army as a tough-as-nails colonel. When she walked into his life again, Edward fell in love with this woman...

nd I'll take Joe shopping, " said Cherry.

"Get some more sleep. I haven't gotten to enjoy feeling your tender, warm skin against me enough, " Jackson's domineering nature shone through as he seized Cherry's arm, unwilling to let go of her.

Cherry wanted to say something, when there was a knock at the door.

Joe's voice called from the other side of the door, "Daddy? Mommy? It's me! Are you up yet?"

"Joe, we..." Cherry started, only to be interrupted by Jackson.

"Come in, son!" shouted Jackson.

Joe opened the door and went in.

"Daddy, Mommy, you two are so lazy! Do you know how late it is, why haven't you gotten up?" asked Joe looking at the pajamas next to the bed.

"What are you doing? I am not up yet." said Cherry and hastily pulled the quilt up to her chin.

"Mom, you don't need to do that. It's no big deal. I've seen much more, " said Joe calmly, and as if he was speaking to someone else.

"You little brat!" Cherry was irritated. It seemed that she had nothing to hide from her son.

Jackson kept his mouth shut, but, he did smile, as he thought about how adorable his son was.

"So, Mommy, when can I start piano lessons?" Joe questioned as he walked next to the side of the bed by Cherry.

"I will find a piano teacher as soon as possible. Daddy bought you a piano from overseas and It will be delivered next week, " said Cherry.

Joe was so excited that he looked at Daddy and joyfully exclaimed, "Thanks, Daddy!"

"Joe, when the piano arrives, the study will be yours to practice in, " said Jackson.

"Okay, " Joe said before turning to his Mother and saying, "Mommy, please find a piano teacher for me quickly. I'd like a beautiful young lady for my instructor."

"Do you plan to learn to play the piano or ogle beautiful girls?" asked Cherry pretending to be angry.

"Mommy, you know you are the most beautiful woman in the world! But, if my piano teacher is good looking, I will be motivated to learn, " quipped Joe.

"I got it, you naughty boy! I will as soon as possible." Cherry bantered. She said to Joe, "Now, go wash up, brush your teeth and then wait for me downstairs. After lunch, we'll go shopping."

"That's great! I'll go get ready." Saying that, Joe rushed out of the room.
