Chapter 43 - Destined

Name:My Ghostly Romance Author:Poisonlily
Yang Mi felt dizzy once again as though there was a force deep inside her that wanted to break out from her body. And surprisingly, she had in inkling that it was brought out by this unknown man.

However, she had no proof that it was really because of him. It could be the work of the ghost she met earlier too.

"I'm alright. Just a little bit dizzy," said Yang Mi. She put her palms against the walls of the elevator and intended to make some space between them.

However, as soon as she took a step back and stepped away from the man, the dizzy feeling she was experiencing intensified.

Before she could think of something, her vision was swallowed by darkness.

The last thing she felt was the man swiftly scooping her up to carry her before she fell..

When Yang Mi woke up, she saw that she was inside a car. The scenery outside the car windows continued to change as her vision was still panning in and out of consciousness.

She heard someone speaking from above her head telling someone else to go to the hospital. They might be heading towards it now.

Yang Mi weakly raised her hand and tapped around her. Her action quickly captured someone's attention and she heard the voice of a man speaking above her head.

"You're awake. Are you still feeling dizzy?" the voice asked.

Yang Mi frowned. What's this? Why does this person's voice sound so close to her? Was she hallucinating it inside her head?

But then, she soon found her answer when she continued to tap her hand around her.

The reason why she could hear someone's voice so close to her ears and hear it above her head was because she was sitting on top of someone's lap.

"!!!"

Upon realizing that she was in a compromising position, she abruptly stood up. In the process of it, her head hit the roof of the car and produced a loud banging sound.

"Ah! That hurts!"

Clutching her head, the dizzy feeling continued to increase and along with it was the pain from hitting her head against the roof of the car.

"You shouldn't keep moving. Just stay still."

Yang Mi squinted her eyes and glanced at whoever was speaking and was shocked to see a face so close to her own.

Angled and sharp features made her wonder if she was standing face to face with a statue. Red lips that formed a straight line and eyes narrowing in worry.

This person was the man she met in the elevator.

What was she doing here with him?

The man raised a hand and patted her head as though he was pacifying a child. He even glanced atop her head to check if she was really alright.

"Thankfully, you didn't hit your head that hard. However, there's a bump forming already." His voice was gentle.

Yang Mi moaned in pain and tears gathered in her eyes. She was still feeling a little bit dizzy earlier, but when she hit her head, the world around her swirled again. She could only rely on the man whom she was currently sittin on top of him for support.

"W-where are we going?" asked Yang Mi.

"The hospital," answered the man.

Upon hearing where they were headed, Yang Mi sprung up once again. But before she could hit her head once again, the man was ready to hold her forearm to stop her and pull her into his arms.

Their position turned even more ambiguous as she sat on top of him and had her cheeks plastered to his chest.

'buthump'

'buthump'

She could hear his heart softly beating like a drum from inside his chest. It was a comfortable feeling and sound that made her feel like sleeping.

Before she could completely surrender to her sleep, she told the man one last thing.

"I don't want to go to the hospital."

---

"Sir, should we still go to the hospital?" The driver heard what the lady said and asked. He was a young driver with a professional race car drive license and has been employed by Kaisar for a few years now.

Kaisar: "Yes..."

Kaisar thought that it was better to send her to the hospital to get her checked. However, something inside him didn't feel good once that idea entered his mind.

Then, he took a pause before he changed his words, "Drive back to my house and call Lu He Yan to come."

The driver: "..."

Lu He Yan was the genius doctor and son of a wealthy family. He was also the best friend of Young Master Kaiser. An appointment with him was harder to get than getting a reservation in a seven-star restaurant. However, anyone would think that Lu He Yan was Kaisar's lackey if they heard him speaking like this.

Moreover, it was shocking that this young master of his was going to bring the unconscious woman to his house. Should I inform Madam Chu about this? The driver wondered before glancing through the rearview mirror to see that Kaisar was looking at the young woman's face.

Looking down at the sleeping face of the young woman in his arms, Kaisar felt conflicted. He was not one who would try to help a woman indiscriminately, and if they fainted in front of him, he would just glance at them and call an ambulance to fetch them.

He wasn't even this caring and soft-hearted to his cousins. The only woman he had shown care and love was toward his mother who was constantly nagging at him to meet someone already and get married.

But what was so different with this young woman was that he didn't just not ignore her and sent her to the hospital, he was also willing to listen to her request and planned to bring her to his house instead.

Never mind. Kaisar sighed and thought. Since he already said it, he might as well commit himself to seeing the end of it.

Thus, Kaisar brought Yang Mi to his home not knowing that this event would tie their fates and destiny together once again.
