Chapter 1413: The Real Art of Concealment

It was indeed a coincidence this time that the Qin Clan members had come.

Xuanyuan Lingyan did not have the balls to continue to plot against Jiang Yi; she did not have it in her. Even the last set-up had been devised and executed by the Poison Spirit. Furthermore, she did not have any henchmen at her beck and call anymore. Her third Grandfather and others had died at the hands of the Poison Spirit. In fact, she still had to think of a way to be accountable to the Xuanyuan Clan regarding this.

For such a pampered great family clan young mistress to not commit suicide even after someone had seen her in the nude, that meant that she would no longer have the courage to kill herself from now on. Furthermore, with her nude painting in Jiang Yi’s hands, she wouldn’t dare to do anything funny. For a great family clan young mistress, what mattered most was her reputation. If this matter ever spread, she would have to die.

Hence, Jiang Yi was rather certain that Xuanyuan Lingyan would not dare to report this matter to her clan; she would also not dare to go against him anymore. That meant that the Qin Clan members’ presence here was probably a coincidence. He said softly, “Let’s wait for a while and let them head in first. They shouldn’t be after us.”

Jiang Yi was determined to get the black rainstones!

Also, Jiang Yi did not believe that the Qin Clan members could take the flames away with them. Since he did not want to clash with them, he could only order the Poison Spirit to stay put and for the duo to wait for them to go ahead. The Poison Spirit did his best to suppress the murderous intent in him as he nodded. His body also steadily vanished on the spot. Jiang Yi also dug a cave at the foot of the mountain, and released his Art of Concealment to hide himself.

“Young Lord, your Art of Concealment’s level is too low. However, if you are not from the Phantom Race, there is no way for you to cultivate the real Art of Concealment.”

A phantom congealed next to Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi looked over and said exasperatedly, “My dear Poison Spirit, could you give a warning the next time before you appear like this? You can scare someone to death like this.”

“Something isn’t right though!”

Jiang Yi suddenly thought of something and asked, “My mother is from the Phantom Race. That means that the Phantom Race’s blood flows within me. By right, I should be able to cultivate the real Art of Concealment…”

“Uh?”

Poison Spirit was stunned for a moment. He hesitated for a while before he said, “Young Lord indeed has the blood of the Phantom Race in you. Lady Piaopiao is also from the royal family. However, your father is a Lower-Domain mortal, right? I am not sure if you would be successful or not. Furthermore, if I impart to you the real Art of Concealment knowing your lineage, this could be against our rules.”

“Rubbish!”

Jiang Yi glared at the Poison Spirit, saying, “You aren’t even a member of the Phantom Race now; what rules are you talking about? Stop hesitating! If anything happens, I will bear full responsibility. Since you are my soul slave now—in the event the Phantom Race pursues this issue, you can easily say that I forced you into teaching the Art of Concealment to me. Hurry up and teach it to me.”

“Alright then!”

The Poison Spirit thought about it for a while and felt that what Jiang Yi said made sense. His soul seed was now with Jiang Yi. If Jiang Yi insisted on learning, the Poison Spirit also could not reject his orders. The Poison Spirit went outside, surveyed the situation, and came back. He said, “The Qin Clan members have entered the mountain. Young Lord, I will impart the Art of Concealment to you now. Whether you can successfully learn this or not depends on you.”

The Poison Spirit started to send voice transmissions to Jiang Yi to impart the real Art of Concealment to him. This Art of Concealment was much stronger than Jiang Yi’s. Jiang Yi’s version could only allow him to remain invisible if he stayed at one spot. If he moved, he would be exposed. The Phantom Race’s Art of Concealment, however, could even hide one as they moved. However, if one attacked, he would still be detectable. After all, he would be using his powerful heavenly powers to circulate his aura.

Furthermore, the Phantom Race’s Art of Concealment allowed one to hide their aura and vital signs completely. It also allowed one to go through restrictions. Its applications were endless; it was indeed exceptionally mystical and terrifying!

“Let me realize this for a while. Protect me!”

After the Poison Spirit imparted to Jiang Yi the mental cultivation and quintessence of the Art of Concealment, Jiang Yi immediately sat down cross-legged and entered the State of the Union of Heaven and Man to try and realize it. This Art of Concealment was indeed different from the previous one. It was a hundred—a thousand times more profound. However, as the Art of Concealment that Jiang Yi had learned was deduced from this, he—more or less—had a foundation in this and tried his best to realize it.

Unfortunately…

The real Art of Concealment was too special. Jiang Yi took two Lower-Domain days but could only give up temporarily. There were many aspects of it that he could not understand at all. He also had this bugging feeling that he might not be able to cultivate this Art of Concealment. This feeling was very strange, and he couldn’t shake it off.

“I could even cultivate the Mighty God Technique. My blood is half-Phantom Race; how could it be I couldn’t cultivate the Art of Concealment? This does not make sense!” Jiang Yi blinked as he was slightly confused. He thought for a moment but still could not make sense of this. He could only shout, “Poison Spirit!”

Buzz!

A breeze floating in from the outside as the Poison Spirit flashed and appeared. Jiang Yi asked, “The Qin Clan members have probably entered deep in the mountain, right?”

The Poison Spirit nodded and said, “En, they have indeed entered. It is not Qin Rong but the Qin Clan first young mistress, Qin Yuewen. She had probably come here to practice. There are five Heaven Emanations following her. They are now hunting Chaos Beasts.”

“Heaven Emanations?” Jiang Yi asked, “The Qin Clan is from the Earth Emanations Pavilion?”

“Didn’t you know that?”

The Poison Spirit rolled his eyes as he explained, “The Qin Clan is the number-one clan under the Earth Emanations Sovereign’s control. The Qin Clan disciples are spread out in many Earth Emanations Pavilion Branches; at least tens of thousands of Earth Emanations Pavilion Lords in the Earth Emanations Domain are from the Qin Clan. They are also one of the indigenous divine races of the Earth Emanations Domain; their power and influence are immense. If not, I would have long killed and exterminated the entire clan.”

“So that is the case.”

Jiang Yi waved a hand as he said, “Let’s enter. Since they have come here to practice, we can just try to avoid them. The auction is about to start soon! We have to hurry.”

The Poison Spirit nodded as he brought Jiang Yi and floated out.

The Poison Spirit could easily detect the Qin Clan members; it was extremely easy to avoid them. The Poison Spirit brought Jiang Yi as the two were like phantoms as they floated in the mountain. Their speed was extremely fast. Within two hours, they had neared the inner depths of the mountain.

As they came close, the temperature within the mountain grew higher. Jiang Yi had long ago taken out his Fire Spirit Pearl as he could not withstand the heat. The Poison Spirit scanned at the Fire Spirit Pearl in Jiang Yi’s hand and could immediately tell that it was quite special. However, the Poison Spirit did not probe or say anything; he wasn’t someone chatty. If Jiang Yi wanted to tell him, he would. If not, there was no point in asking anyway.

“Young Lord, the Qin Clan members should be in that direction. We have only encountered tens of Chaos Beasts along our way. It seems as if most of them have been drawn towards the Qin Clan members. Hence, the deepest parts of the mountain should be quite safe. You can take a rest here for a while, and I will go and check things out. I want to see if there are Ancient-Grade Chaos Beasts in there.

The Poison Spirit left Jiang Yi there, sent a voice transmission to Jiang Yi, and left. Jiang Yi was stunned by the Poison Spirit’s ability.

They had only encountered tens of Chaos Beasts along the way?

This entire journey, Jiang Yi had not even seen one Chaos Beast. It seemed like the Poison Spirit was indeed formidable; he had avoided all the Chaos Beasts along the way.

This place was probably not that far away from the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames. Jiang Yi grew tense as he hid in a small crevice and held his breath, awaiting the Poison Spirit’s return.

Roar! Roar!

An hour later, a thunderous roar rang out from ahead as a terrifying aura traveled from there. Jiang Yi’s entire body shook. This aura was all too familiar to him. It was the aura of an Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast. His eyes gleamed as he did not know whether he should flee immediately or not. If this Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast locked onto him and the Poison Spirit could not return in time, Jiang Yi would definitely die.

“Young Lord, go immediately to collect the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames in the fire abyss. I will lure this Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast to where Qin Yuewen and company are! Remember… do not push yourself too much. If you are unable to collect the flames, retreat immediately.”

A voice transmission rang in Jiang Yi’s ears as the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast charged eastward, roaring continuously. Jiang Yi instantly became energized. Now that the Poison Spirit had lured the Chaos Beast away, wouldn’t it be so easy to collect the flames?

“Go!”

The Power of Heaven and Earth in Jiang Yi circulated as he sped forward like a ferocious lion.
