97 Decide What's Best For Her

Two hours of searching, finally they able to locate their location.

Xui Li was the one who heard stepping sound nearing the hole. With coarse voice, he calls them and lucky one of them notice the snowboard and the small hole made by him.

They call the expert team to dig the hole and help them out. Once they open the way out, they found that Xue Mei is injured and unconscious while Xui Li also in a weak condition. Both of them look pale and their skin is cold as ice.

They took them to the hospital using the helicopter and call the Eagle station reporting that they already found the missing person.

"Is Ha Eun's relatives, here?" A doctor in her forties come out from the examination room.

"I'm Ha Eun's friend."

"Okay, so I check her record and already call Dr. Hazel to confirm. She actually cannot be exposed to the cold weather for too long, do you realize this matter?" She asks directly, more to scolding.

"N..No." Ren Zhi shook his head.

"She lucky this time. But it's better if you bring her to somewhere more climate and warm. If you know where just tell me and I'll get the arrangement for her to get treatment there."

"Thank you, doctor."

"I'm just saying this for the patient's sake. Please be more alert on her well-being."

Ren Zhi just nods his head. After the female doctor is gone, his phone rang and he picks it up.

"Hello, Mister Ren."

"Hello, Dr. Hazel."

"I heard what happen from Dr. Milanda. She says, you at Colorado, right now. Is it true?" Dr. Hazel ask.

"Yes, I'm sorry. I'm not aware of her condition." Ren apologizing.

"It's okay, she safe now. But, do you mind if I treat her while she in her winter break?"

He scratches his head a little. "Umm.."

"It just a few weeks. She'll be back again after the break." She assures him.

"Okay, then.."

"So, I will arrange the transportation and I will talk to Dr. Milanda by myself. Thank you, Ren."

He ended the call and went inside the room. Sit on the chair, he stares at her.

"I was really scared you know. Don't make me shocked like that ever again."

At the emergency unit,

Xue Mei was brought right away to the operation theater. Her feet need to be attended to and Xui Li went to the examination area.

Risa, Shou, and Ying Yue hurriedly went to the emergency unit. After a while, they spot Xui Li in the waiting area.

"Xui Li!" Ying Yue run to him follow by Risa and Shou.

"Are you okay? Where's Xue Mei?" She asks again.

"She's in operation theater. Her ankle broke and injured." Xui Li sat on the chair while holding the hot cup of coffee. To warm him up a little bit.

"What? Is it serious?" Risa sits beside him.

Shake his head, he says "I'm not sure. She was cold as ice." He trembles a bit.

"She'll be okay." Shou pat on Risa's shoulder.

They wait for her to finish the operation for a few hours and finally she was out from the operation room. The doctor who performs the surgery went to them.

"Are you Miss Shen's friend?"

All of them nod their head.

"Okay, so she is out of danger, she broke her ankle pretty bad, and there's some deep wound at the side of her feet. Her feet are now is plastered cast and can only be open after three months. Other than that, there's nothing to worry about." He smiles at them before he goes.

Risa was so relieved to hear that. Ying Yue and Xui Li also feel so relieved.

All of them sleep in Xue Mei's ward that night.

Before Shou goes back to his suite, he makes sure Risa was okay and eat her supper.

The next day, Ren Zhi, Xui Li, Risa, and Ying Yue went back to their suite. Upon seeing Ren, Xui Li and Risa did not say any word to him as they went to their bedroom.

"Is Xue Mei okay?" He asks Ying Yue.

She slowly nods her head, she says "She's okay. Just broke her ankle and injured a little. Not like your princess. She just unconscious, is she?"

"Yueyue.."

"Erm..I'm tired, I don't want to hear it." She went to the bedroom door.

"Oh, by the way. I gonna return back to my University this evening. I take a flight. So don't bother to send me back." She smiles at him and went inside the bedroom.

After she went inside, Xui Li take the turn to inform him that he also will return back tomorrow if Xue Mei already discharge. He will send her back to her family house with Risa.

All left is Ren Zhi which is now he needs to take care of Ha Eun's safety first. He already informs Dr. Hazel that he will send her to Dr. Hazel's hospital in Arendell last night.

He thought that they will follow him too, but all of them seems to want to be in a separate way.

Knock knock

Ren Zhi knocking on Xue Mei's ward. He went inside the room with a bouquet of flower in his hand.

"Hi, how are you?" He sits at the chair beside her.

She looks at him for a moment and nods her head. "Fine."

"I'm sorry I yelled at you yesterday." He took Xue Mei hands.

But slowly, she pulls her hand back. "It's okay. How is Ha Eun? Is she okay?"

"She still unconscious. And actually, I want to tell you. I will go to Arendell and send Ha Eun to her private Dr. So, I can't send you home. I really am sorry." He lowered his head a little.

"Hmm. It's okay." She tries to force a smile on her face.

Caress her cheek, he said again. "I'll be visiting you once I return to Imperial and when you're home at your family house, okay?"

"Hmm." She nods.

He stands up and kisses her head. "I'll be going now. Take care. I love you."

Once he was out from her ward, she let out her sobs.

"Xue Mei." Shen Ming Yi calls her daughter's name. She was a bit upset seeing her daughter feeling so down since she comes back from her vacation.

"Mm?" She replies feebly.

"Is there something happen between you and Ren?" She tries to dig her problem more.

Smile faintly, she bit her lower lip a bit while shakes her head.

"As a mother, I know there's something happen between you and him, but Xue Mei, if you can't hold it anymore why you still insisting on keeping it?"

Xue Mei silent. She doesn't know what to tell her mother anymore. She knew someday she needs to face it and decide what's best for her relationship now.

Knowing that she will never reply to her, Shen Ming Yi went out of Xue Mei room. She just hopes that she will be like herself back.
