89 Looks Childish

The following morning, they go touring around the Vail resort. There are many luxurious stores which clearly that Xue Mei can't afford to buy anything for her family.

The costs of the t-shirt are up to her five-month salary. That's totally insane. She glances at everyone. They all enjoyed their shopping like this price is normal and plausible.

'Well, they all rich kids from a moneyed family.' She sighing inwardly and only could hold her desire.

"Xue Mei, try this one." Risa gives her one casual off-shoulder blouse with long sleeve. She knows Xue Mei like to wear casual clothes with a long sleeve.

"Huh? No..I had enough shirt." She said bashfully.

"What? No? Come on, is this how you value our friendship? Seriously?" She attacks Xue Mei using 'enforcement' skill. This is how she gets her into an Art University.

"But Risa." She looks at the price tag, her eyes almost pop out from its socket. '1,500 dollars? Just for mere casual clothes?!'

"Put it on. Or I don't want to be friend with you again." Risa said while crossing her arm around her chest.

Sighing heavily, she went to the changing room and try it on. Well, Risa knows fashion more than she does. Of course, the clothes she chooses is to suit her well.

"So, how?" She opens the changing room and shows it to Risa.

Gasping a bit, she said to the store attendant. "Okay, pack this size up."

The store attendant nod her head and Xue Mei also change back into her clothes before.

Xui Li and Ren Zhi went to the Men's department. Xui Li buy a few hats for Zhao Lin and scarf for his father. For him, he only bought a brand new wallet.

Ren Zhi buys a pair of new shoes and brands new Oakley goggles for snowboarding tomorrow. After paying, they waited for the girls at the woman's department.

Seriously, the girls really take a long time to shop and to decide on things too.

Xui Li also joining them by buying a lot of stuff for his mother and sisters. He also buys something for Xue Mei, but he didn't tell her. He thought that he wants to give her after they return back to from this vacation.

After they're done shopping, they went to the famous restaurant in Vail for lunch, lucky that Ren already books a table yesterday night when they looking for a restaurant to have dinner.

So many pictures that Ren capture from the start until now. He was a bit satisfied with all the beautiful view and all the candid photos of them together.

Looked at the watch after they finish their tour today, Ren says "It's already 3 PM. We should rest for a bit before we go to dinner tonight."

All of them nodded. They headed back to the hotel and while passing through the souvenir store Xue Mei saw yesterday, she stops her pace and went inside the store. She forgot to tell them which is walking in front of her.

Ding Ling Ling!

"Welcome." The store worker greets her with a smile on her face.

Smiling back, she starts to look around the store. All inside the store is basically a glass handmade souvenir.

She stares at the snow globe. It is so cute and very retro.

"This can be designed by your liking, miss."

"Oh?" She looks at the price tag. '300 dollars.'

"If you want us to design, the price is at least 400 dollar and above." said the store worker again.

Xue Mei laughs awkwardly while putting it back. "Ah.. haha...I see."

She then went to the key chain section.

A lot of cute key chain attract her attention. It only cost15 to 20 dollars each. Which is, she afford to buy it.

She took a few of it which is cute in her eyes, and pay for it. She also buys something for Ren Zhi and Xui Li. Once she was out from the store, she was a bit surprised to see Xui Li was leaning at the outside of the store.

"Are you done?" He asks.

Xue Mei nods her head. "Yeah."

"Come on. Ren must be anxious right now." He said and they both went back together.

"How do you know I was there?" She asks curiously.

"Duh...I was right behind you." He replies to her.

"Huh? Then why didn't you come in too?"

"Erm, I'm afraid I would buy a lot of things and in the end, I wasn't using it at all."

"Oh..good reason." She agrees with him.

Once they arrive at the hotel lobby, Ren already waits for them. His face looks a bit red. Angry, maybe.

"Where did you going?" Ren Zhi grabs Xue Mei's hand.

She shrank a bit, shock and scared with his sudden action.

"Whoa! Easy Ren. We just go to the souvenir shop." He grabs Ren's arm making him release his grip on Xue Mei's wrist.

"You know it's dangerous to wander around where this is not your country, right?"

"Ren, we're not a child okay? What's wrong with you?" Xui Li still reasoning with him.

"Xui Li, this is not about you. Can you go now? I need to talk with Xue Mei. Alone." He deepens his voice and glare at him.

Release his hand, he looks at Xue Mei. Feeling a bit hesitant to let her alone with Ren, but he also noticed a few other guests already looking at their direction now.

"Do not make a scene or try to hurt her. You know what I mean Ren." He also said with a serious tone before he leaves them both.

Once Xui Li is gone from their sight, he brings Xue Mei to the open pool terrace.

"What is this about, Ren?" She asks carefully. Somehow, she could feel a bit goosebumps seeing his mad side.

"I don't like when you're too close with him." He finally said it. He noticed that Xui Li always there when he was not around. It's like he was flirting with his girlfriend.

"Who?"

"Xui Li! I feel like he loves you. And I seriously don't like it. You're mine, Xue Mei. I don't want to see you with another man other than me." He stares her eyes with seriousness.

Xue Mei silent. She doesn't know how to react or respond. She already knows about Xui Li loves her. But, she never says yes to him because he also knows that she is Ren's girlfriend.

"Xue Mei?" He call her name when she didn't respond for more than two minutes.

"Y..yes?"

"Do you hear me?" He asks again.

"Yeah. I heard. So, you're saying that you're jealous?" She arched her eyebrow a bit.

"Sort of."

"Okay, but, we just friend. Maybe we're too close because he.." 'he knows me better, he understands me and always there for me.' of course, it only in her mind. She didn't dare to say it out loud.

"He's been good to me. Like a brother." She tries to smile.

"Hmm.." He didn't say anything and he looks at the paper bag that she held.

"Is that a souvenir you buy earlier?" He pointing his finger to the paper bag.

Looking down at her hand, she said "Oh yeah...I buy something for you."

She rummaging inside the paper bag and take it out a black leather bracelet. It is handmade and quite pricey than the key chain she bought earlier.

"Your hand." She outstretches her hand to him.

Extended his hand, she put on the leather bracelet on his wrist.

"Looks childish." He commenting, but still smiling looking at the bracelet.

"Well, because my boyfriend is also a bit childish to get jealous over a simple matter."

Hug her, he said, "I'm sorry."

"Mm..me too."
