31 Don't Stop Believin'

"Whoa! Girls..calm down...I feel like I've been swarming by the bees." She tries to makes them calm down.

Clap! Clap!

"Okay, that's enough! Let's go to the auditorium or we will be late." Luo Hui claps her hands and makes the girls went out of the dorm immediately.

"Really, Xue Mei..you're lucky to have such a rich boyfriend." One of the girls pats on her shoulder.

She could only smile. Not knowing what they're talking about. She doesn't know what S.H.E brand is. All she knows that he gifted it to her.

All of them comes a bit late and they had to squeeze to the side of the hall.

Xue Mei was so shocked to see the inside of the auditorium. It was full of the student from all the department.

It's really like a real live concert by famous stars. The concept is all from the Music instrument, dancing, singing can join together to make a performance. The jury will judge their mark based on their skill on the stages. And the theme is 'Believe'.

While they were busy with the cheering, suddenly Xue Mei's phones vibrating.

She took out her phone and look at the chat box.

'Where are you?'

She looks around her and replies to him. 'Near the staircase. Wing B.'

'I can't spot you.'

She taps on her chin for a bit before she replies again. 'Find me. I'm wearing the dress you give me and white shoulder cape.'

She smiles before she sends the message.

Ren Zhi did not reply to her after that. He was busy looking for her until he saw the dress that he buys for her last month.

But the girl who wears it look a bit different than his Xue Mei. Her hair color is different, her hairstyle is also different from Xue Mei. He tilted his head a bit. Scanning her from afar.

He then sends a text message to her.

'Turn to your right, now.'

"Huh?" She mumbles and turns her head to the right side.

Once she turns around, she saw Ren Zhi already staring at her like he was not believed by what he sees.

She smiles at him and waves her hand to him. She mouthed at him. "You found me!"

Chuckles, he blushed a bit. "You're beautiful!" he also mouthed at her. With a loud cheering voice from other students, it makes them hard to talk so they decide to just mouthed at each other.

"Ren Zhi stays at the seat not far from her and she also did not move from her group. Not until she gives support to Risa's performance with the girls from her dorm.

One by one group has been done their performance, and all of them surely had skills and a beautiful voice. If it was her as a jury, it will surely hard to gives all of them the point.

"Okay, next we presenting the group from music instrument and singing course. Presenting our champion for two years and a new group of transfer students this year."

"Yeay! Xui Li! Xui Li! Xui Li!" All the girls' group from other department start to cheering up including the girls from her dorm.

"Hey, is it Xui Li's turn?" Xue Mei asks one of them.

"Yeah. He's number seventeen. And Risa's number eighteen if I'm not mistaken."

"Oh.."

'Actually, I forgot their number.'

Once he gets in the stages, the cheering becomes louder. He is the champion for straight two years since the first year he got in.

This time, he did not do the solo performance, he was pair up with a girl from a singing course.

"Wait, is she his girlfriend?" One of the girls asks.

"Erm..that can't be true, right?"

"But, I heard they went to LA just to practice their performance. They must be a couple."

"Tch! I hate to imagine this, but she looks perfect with Xui Li standing side by side."

Xue Mei could hear all the girls talking once Xui Li get on the stages. Seeing him with that girl at the stages somehow makes her heart feel a bit displeased.

But immediately she throws away those feelings. Try to not thinking too much.

"Ready?" Xui Li asks Hana. She's a transfer student from Malaysia a few months ago. Then he turns to look at three other girls behind her.

As they nod their head, he turns to the boys' group which is in musical instrument course as him too.

They also nod their head before he looks at Hana beside him back.

She nods her head. Ready.

Pluck the guitar's string, he starts to sing.

Breath in, Hana start after him.

All the students cheering even louder than before. Her voice was so beautiful on par with him.

Xui Li focuses on Hana's face before he starts again.

"A singer in a smokey room...

Hana continues

"A smell of wine and cheap perfume...

Both of them nod their head and sing together.

"For a smile, they can share the night

It goes on and on and on and on

This time, all the girls and the boys start to back up their singing.

"Strangers! Waiting!

Up and down the boulevard

Their shadows searching in the night

Streetlights! People!

Living just to find emotion

Hiding somewhere in the night…

Almost all the student sing the song together with them. A very nostalgic song from the '90s.

Streetlights, people…

She runs to Xui Li and he lifts her body up.

"Don't stop!"

They huff and stare at each other for a moment with a satisfied smiling on their face.

Pop!

A glitter sprayer popped out and makes their performance get a loud cheering.

Even the jury was amazed by their performance. Who would've thought that he can sing too? The last two years he always plays the musical instrument like piano, violin, and guitar and he only sings slow music.

Now with this new improvement, he sure is talented. He can sing a 90's song and play the guitar well while singing. Not only that, he can control the newcomers to not afraid of the stage tonight.

The jury gives him full marks for his performance.
