15 If Someone Wants To Treat Us, Don't Say No

The next day.

"Hey, Xui Li, are you free this weekend?" She asks when they finished work and walk back together to the dorm.

He looks at his watch before he answers her.

"Erm...Why?"

"Well, I've been thinking of inviting Risa to eat KFC this weekend. So, I thought that maybe I should invite you too because we start working on the same day right? And as thanks for always walk back to the dorm with me."

Smiles a bit, he ruffles her hair. "There's nothing to be thankful for. We live in the same dorm and I just stay next to your room. Even though I can ride you back with my bike, but I guess I like to walk with you. We can chat all along the way, right?"

She nods her head and smiles too. Yup. She is comfortable with Xui Li. Even though he is a man, but he always gives her a sense of a big bro who protects her. He is easy to talk and a good listener too. Now she knows why most of the girls in Music campus like him and he was listed as a hot guy. Of course, she knows this information from Risa.

"About your invitation, I actually…had a plan that day. But if I can't come, I'll text you okay?" He feels a bit guilty, he had a plan that day with Ren. He will accompany him to find his art material for his project.

"Oh, it's okay...It's Risa who really want you to go.."

Scrunch his eyebrow a bit, he takes a glance at her.

"Risa?"

"Yeah.."

"Risa….hurry up." Xue Mei looks at her watch before she turns to look at Risa again.

"Wait...I need to touch up my lips with my lipstick." She put on her Rosy pink color lipstick on her lips.

Xue Mei sighs and shakes her head a little.

"He might not come.." She murmurs.

Turn to look at Xue Mei, she pouted a bit.

"What if he comes? I need to be pretty, okay." She tries to be positive.

"Yeah yeah...You already pretty. Don't use too much makeup or you will scare him."

"Really?" Risa's eyes lit a bit.

"Yeah...Now, come on. Uncle Takashi has been waiting for us for almost half an hour okay?"

"Okay okay..I'm done." She touches her bangs for a bit before she follows Xue Mei from behind.

Once they arrive at the dorm's gate, Mr. Takashi already opens up the car door for them.

"Thanks, Uncle." Xue Mei smile to him and Risa also does the same.

"No problem. You both young, you need your time to look beautiful." He smiles.

"Hihi...Thanks for understanding us. So, uncle..to the KFC." Risa said happily.

"Yes, milady."

They arrive at the KFC in the town after 20 minutes driving. Mr. Takashi only sends them off because he needs to run errands for Risa's supply at the dorm.

"Eh..we need to line up, there's a quite lot people today." Xue Mei look around the restaurant.

"There, I'll go and reserve the seat. You should go and order our meals." Risa points her finger on one of the tables beside the glass window.

"Oh. Okay." Xue Mei nods her head. She goes to line up and Risa went to the table.

After ten minutes, Xue Mei comes to Risa with a combo set of chicken and soft drink.

"Alright, eat all you want." She smiles to Risa and put the cup in front of Risa.

"Thank you Meimei."

"You're welcome." She replies to her and takes one piece of the fried chicken into her plate.

"Did you find your things?" Xui Li asks Ren when he looks he was still standing in front of the rack display.

"Erm." He rubs his chin while still focusing on the paintbrush. Thinking whether he should buy it or not.

"I'll die here if you stay another minute you know. Its been two hours. Can you really decide it faster? Please."

Turn to look at him, he squinted his eyes a bit. "Do you had any other plan today?"

He scratches her head a little. "Erm...I do.."

"Oh?" He turns to him like he was interested to know more. Xui Li he knows is a person who is always free. He had no girlfriend and can be easy to ask him out whenever he wants.

"What? Why are you turning to me?"

"Come on. I need the details." Ren Zhi smiles meaningly to him.

"It just Xue Mei. She wants to treat me to a meal with Risa."

"Hmm? Meal?"

"Yeah, we just got our first salary."

"Pfttt." he wants to burst into a laugh, but he tries to hold it.

"Okay, interesting. So?"

"So, I just say that I had plan today. So if I can't make it, I'll text her later."

"Ah~ so what are we wasting time for?"

"Huh?"

"I mean, I'm hungry. If someone wants to treat us, don't say no...It's a free meal after all. Even though it might not fancy, but we'll get full later on." He smiles.

"Wait, she invites me. Not you." Xui Li says.

"So…"

"She won't say no. Don't worry. Come on, where is she?" He asks and suddenly becomes energetic.

"Erm…I ask her location now." Both of them went out of the store.

The salesperson inside the store pouted when they both went out of the store. They spend two hours inside and buy nothing in the end. It's very exhausting to wait with a hope they will buy something expensive.

He looks at his phone before he smiles after that.

"They just right in front of this store." He lifts up his head and looks at the KFC restaurant across the street.

"Hmm...Lucky me to eat fried chicken for free today." Ren Zhi mumbles and waits for the traffic light to turn green.
