Chapter 196 - Violin

As soon as Eva blinked her eyes open, looking a little gasped in fear she noticed that Zeus had already drifted his head away from her neck, gazing at her with a blissful wide smirk. His eyes that were shimmering in illuminant red blaze, had returned to their normal human form. His canines had disappeared and with those curly black hair bangs stroking over his forehead along with the mild breeze floating by them he seemed extraordinarily handsome like an ethereal prince, holding one of her arms tight.

Looking a bit nervous and fretful, she glanced all around and noticed the red igniting flames that were surrounding them a moment ago had disappeared completely. Everything around them seemed to be normal with the peaceful desolated ambiance around them.

However, she could sense a slight tingling sensation on the portion of her neck where he had just bitten her a few seconds ago. While touching the part with her trembling fingertips she could feel a kind of scar being bruised on that part.

Slowly, Zeus stole a quick glance on her neck and immediately, the smile he had on his face widened. It was a small, star-shaped golden-red-hued shimmering mark that was magically gleaming on her porcelain white bare skin.

"Zeus...did...did you just...bite me? What...just happened around us now?" Baffled with the intense situation while making a clumsy gesture, she murmured her query, lifting her gaze up.

"I marked you mine," softly caressing her few hair threads away whirling on her beautiful face and tugging them on her ear back, he whispered in a sonorous, jovial tone.

"Marked...me?"

"We are animals, Eva and...we mark our mates just like the way I did to you." Slowly he unleashed the grip on her hand and stroked that shimmering with his broad fingertips looking quite proud from his expression. "Wolves need to mark their territories which belongs to them. And...as you already know, I am the Alpha of my pack. By marking you mine today, I swore the oath before our Moon Godessess of declaring you as my only mate and also the Luna of my pack." He continued.

Apprehending his genial voice, making a confused face she stood still gawking at him with a fretful face. "Luna? I...I am a luna of your pack? But...that's a sacred position to hold and...I...am just a human..."

"A wolf can only chose one mate for his entire lifetime, Eva. And...my heart has already chosen you despite you are being born as a mortal human. I don't bother about any consequences anymore. Now...all I have to do is...declaring our relationship before my pack and introduce you to their new Luna to them before...we get married." His dark eyes seemed shimmering with a gleam of happiness as he asserted his words to her. His affable glow on his gaze was evidently visible even within the darkness prevailing around them after the ethereal sunset.

Though from his gesture, he seemed to be quite happy, a tinge of worriment swooned her insides making her quite anxious than before. She was fidgeting her fingers, feeling quite restless as if something was bothering her deep inside.

"Eva? What's wrong?" He evidently noticed her palpitations, as he took a step closer, putting an arm on her side face.

"Zeus...what...what we are gonna do if your pack doesn't accept me? I...I am just a human...while...you are their strongest alpha... How will they accept a feeble woman like me as their luna?" She frowned her face, uttering her anticipation.

For a moment, Zeus stood still looking fixed into her eyes with a poignant gaze towards her. Tenderly he cupped her small face within his grip and mumbled in a sad voice, "Eva, you trust me, right?"

"I do trust you Zeus...But...I can't help but get worried about...the wrath you have to face from your beloved pack just because...you chose a human. I bet...they must despise humans too just the way you did before...I can't even imagine how bad they are gonna react when they will see me--"

"Even if the whole pack revolts against me for choosing you, I will still stick by my decision. An alpha can never turn back on his words, Eva." Before she could mumble out her answer, he interrupted her verdict by a stern declaimation from him. She looked quite surprised resting still in his hold being stormed away by his hoarse answer.

"Zeus?"

"I loved you despite knowing the boundaries existing in our worlds. It was my choice to go after you. I earnestly waited for you to accept me for who I am...and now...when that has happened...I am bold enough to claim you mine before our world! Eva...if you trust me...you must already know I am willing to sacrifice my everything to stay by your side. But...I will never let you go. I have sworn to love and protect you forever and I will keep my words, till my last breath. That's why, don't fret about the consequences anymore... if you have faith in me." He replied intensely in a pitch, scrunching his brows.

"Why do you love me so much...Zeus?" Wondering deep in her mind while looking at him, she tried to swallow the surge of crying rising inside her throat. A small sad smile appeared as she nodded her head tenderly holding both of his arms with her frail palms. "I believe in you. Whatever you have decided...I will follow you, Zeus."

As soon as she concluded her words, the whole area on the beach side illuminated up with bright yellowish lights attached over the floral archways as well on the dining table arrangement for their romantic date. Beautiful white lights crowded them around the rose petals platform where they were standing holding arms into each other. Within the night ambiance, the place seemed more beautiful decorated with colorful lights and flowers along with the sound of shoring waves. Eva seemed quite ecstatic while she was gawking at the majestic decorations turning her neck all around.

"So let's celebrate the first step of our new journey of life forgetting every worries, at least for today." Fondly clutching her arm tight, he started walking towards the table decorated for their joyous celebration. Zeus drew out the chair for Eva to make her seat first then grabbed the chair right next to her.

As soon as both of them grabbed onto their seats, two tall, handsome young men holding two violins gently came walking towards them. Politely they bowed their heads before them and stood right next to them. Immediately after them, three more butlers from the resort marched towards their table carrying several dishes on silver plates on their hands. Cordially, they served those royal majestic dishes which Zeus made it especially prepared for Eva along with an exquisite champagne placed over an ice-bucket.

Eva was completely awestruck with those sumptuous arrangements he had exceptionally arranged for her. As she took a glimpse over the dishes, her eyes widened in delight. They were all her favorites which Zeus had accurately kept in his mind to surprise her for their special day. But above all, she was more pleased to see those violinist guys.

"I can't believe...you...must have worked so hard to arrange all these for me...Zeus. And what amazes me the most, I didn't even had a clue of all these preparations..." She chuckled.

"I wanted everything to be perfect for our special day today...Besides...I believe...you are really happy to see these violinists, aren't you?" A small smirk escaped his lips.

"Did you just read my mind, Zeus?"

"No... But back in your home, I saw an old, rusty small violin in the corner of the room when I was searching for a shirt to put on." His tone hollowed a little as he continued gawking at her face, caressing her arm softly. "You must have...loved to play that violin once in your life...isn't it true?"

Hearing his soft voice, all of a sudden, the wide smile she had on her face shrinked a little occupied with an unidentified sadness. She lowered her eyes down from him, stayed still for a moment and breathed out with a heavy sigh of grief.

"My father...gifted it to me on my 10th birthday. He really loved it whenever I played any melody on it. He wanted me to become a renowned violinist and...even I had the dream buried inside my heart.

But...

My every dream shattered into pieces that night when...my parents...died...leaving me alone with my brother with an unbearable regret. Since that day...I never played that violin, not even once. Just having a glance at it...shudders my heart with pain..." She sounded quite bereaved, trying to hold her tears in.

"But...it was your father's dream to watch you fulfilling your ambition...isn't it?" Leaning his face a bit closer, his low voice whirled along with the soft breeze.

"I...still...can't play that violin anymore...Zeus..." She rustled.

"Alright, but you can play a new one right?" As soon as he responded, Mr. Graham walked into the place towards the table holding a brand new violin in his arm. It was exquisite and seemed crazy expensive just from its outer case as he handed it over to Zeus cordially.

"Zeus...what's...this?" She sounded awe-struck, rolling her eyes wider.

"Happy birthday, my love. Here's your birthday gift...a new violin... the instrument you love the most..." A broad grin engraved on his jowls as he tenderly stretched his arm to hand it over to her proudly with a smile.
