Chapter 193 - 193: A Good, Faithful Man

Warmth that came from the sunlight touched on the three girls' faces. They left the window wide open last night. They were still wearing their best outfit and make-up on without thinking how they would look like in the morning.

Jasmine wiped off the saliva that drooled over to side of her mouth, she turned sideways, arched her back like a fetus inside of the woman's womb.

"Good morning, sleepy heads! It's time to get off from the bed, ladies!"

Zenith clapped her hands as soon as she opened her eyes. She slept between Jasmine and Halora who both snored loudly. Yet, neither one moved nor uttered a single word.

She gasped, slowly looked throughout the entire room while the sun shone too brightly. It was a beautiful day, a new beginning with hopes and happiness that awaited.

Until she remembered the scenario of her and Roy outside of the house as they stood under the starry night.. Her heart filled with joy, thumped too fast like a fugitive who was being chased by the authorities.

And even how hard she tried to keep it, her lips wouldn't let her skip. "Oh my gosh! I can't believe this all happening!" she widened her eyes, tapped and pinched her cheeks as she thought it was all just a beautiful dream. "R- Roy i-is my suitor now… and it's official!"

Carelessly, her voice echoed around the room that awakened Halora who looked like little girl who haven't combed her hair for how many days. She gulped, covered her mouth while she stood out from the bed.

"Hey, Halora!" Zenith called her.

But instead of answering, she waved her hands and went to the washroom first before speaking.

Zenith narrowed her eyes, looked down at the white mattress and breathed deeply. As the wind blew up, she smelled her own breath and it was literally disgusting.

"Eww! What was that smell?" she yowled, smelled it once again.

And for the second time, it upset her stomach as she quickly jumped off from bed, rushed to the washroom and knocked on the door loudly. "Halora, please open the door!" she squalled, stopped herself from vomiting.

"What's the matter with you? A-are you feeling sick?"

She opened the door, and the next thing that happened left her disgusted. "I-is that what they called h-hang… hangover?"

Zenith flashed the toilet and stood weakly closer to the sink. "Of course not! Perhaps, I ate something last night that upset my stomach!" she defended herself while Halora threw malicious looks at her.

"Come on, Halora! Don't look at me that way!" she said, wiping off the water from the side of her lips.

"I thought…" she paused. "Here, wipes your mouth first."

Halora remembered what Zenith did last night after she spoke with Roy. She went upstairs with a wide smile on her face, chugging a dozen of soda and a pitcher of cup of tea.

She tapped her forehead, bit her bottom lip for a second.

"Shit! I… I can't even remember what I did last night- what I ate and drink!"

Zenith looked devastated as she followed Halora's lead back to the bedroom. She looked hopeless and wasted but her heart didn't forget the words he said to her.

She gulped, threw herself to one of the pillows that scattered throughout the bed. "Ahh! I don't know what to do right now!"

On the right side, Jasmine rubbed her eyes when she heard loud voices that came from the washroom. She yawned, leaned over to the wall narrowing her eyes, "Do you want to know everything?" she turned her head to Zenith.

There was no emotion in her face yet, she convinced Zenith in the end. "What are you talking about? Are you saying that you eavesdropped while we are talking?"

"Crazy bitch, of course I didn't do that!" Jasmine threw the pillow to her, "I took a video while you're running upstairs like a fool, in love girl. And not just thing, you went to the kitchen and made a carafe of tea after you drank a dozen cans of soda!"

"I did what?" Zenith stood in shock, looked at nowhere for a moment. After a couple of seconds, every little disgusting thing she did flashed back to her head in a slow pace.

She screamed, held each side of her head with an epic reaction. She felt too embarrassed of her strange actions and Zenith rolled over to the spacious bed while Jasmine and Halora looked at each other's eyes.

"But don't worry, Roy didn't witness your so-crazy odd actions."

"He went home after he approached you because of an emergency," said Halora with an encouraging smile that flaunted on her face. She then pouted her lips, glanced up at the wall clock in front of the them, "It's already quarter to nine… aren't you going home yet?"

Because of her question, Zenith and Jasmine narrowed their eyes, and then took a deep, heavy breath.

"Don't tell me you are sick of the two of us for organizing a party in your house." Jasmine crossed her arms, stiffened and pretended to be upset.

But before Halora could defend herself, a loud, surprising ringtone caught their attention. Zenith who looked nervous and at the same time excited quickly hopped into the side table and took her cellular phone.

She then cleared her throat, peeked at the name of the caller on the screen that paralyzed her entire system. And for a couple of minutes, she stood silently, looking at somewhere distant thinking what to say.

"Good morning, beautiful lady! How was your night, huh?" said the caller on the other line.

Exhilaration drawn on her face when she heard his deep yet warm voice that electrified her body. Zenith jumped high, held her chest for a while. "G- good morning to you too, Roy!" she smiled and bit the bottom of her lip. "W-why did you call me by the way? I-is something wrong?"

She felt too nervous until he said something that rushed her back home with Jasmine and Halora.

Bright surroundings that was filled with a lot of expensive things brought life to the entire place. The antique vase with fresh, real white and red tulips on it, the long, rectangular table with a lot of foods that served as a decoration that gave an addicting aroma to everyone.

It wasn't the ideal hour for a breakfast but because of unexpected guest, a happy, complete family decided to gather as one while getting to know the young man who suddenly visited to the mansion.

After a long, deafening silence, a man in his thirties reached for the cold water on the right side of his plate. He sighed, wiped his mouth gently with a white, soft towel and gawked at his daughter's guest.

"So, you are saying that you want to court my daughter, am I right?"

"Yes Sir…" spoke Roy confidently.

First impression was one of the parents' basis whether it was good for their daughter or not. And upon meeting Roy for the very first time, he fortunately established a good impression and relationship to Zenith's parents.

"You are kind enough to be my daughter's boyfriend sooner and later. And I heard about your parents too some years ago." said Zenith's father in a nice way.

And to be honest, Roy felt warmly welcomed by her parents. He didn't even realize how would it be upon seeing her parents personally.

"You know what, we can't decide whether yes or no. My daughter must decide for herself and whatever would her decision be, I hope you'll accept it without doubt." A fine, young woman told him as she put aside the fork and sipped on her cup of tea.

While Roy was being interrogated by her parents, Zenith secretly bit her lip and tried to kick his shoes under the table. But she failed as he didn't want to do something that will ruin his image and reputation.

She sighed, intentionally dropped the fork and knife that caught everyone's attention. All eyes were on her way and she said, "Come on, mom! He's here from five in the morning, and he was the one who cook all of these!"

"It's not a big deal, Zenith. So, please calm down and let me ask your parents' permission before jumping to the next stage." Roy told her without a hint of fear, "I came here to court your parents first, ask for their blessing and once I was approved, I will do my best to be the good, faithful man in your life."

His words were quite beautiful and convincing. Even her mother giggled secretly as she witnessed how her daughter smiled differently because of him.

And at first glance, Gretta sensed that Roy was the man for her daughter. He was her destined mate despite their differences, but if there was one thing that bothered her the most was their family's biggest secret.

Out of fear and qualms, she looked at Zenith who seemed genuinely happy. There was no trace of pain her for now but she knew, when he discovered her real identity, he would probably left her daughter lonely and shattered into tiny pieces.
