Chapter 114 - 114: Three Red Roses

Hundreds of roses, daisies, tulips and sunflowers welcomed Halora and Sebastian as they arrived to the enchanted and a paradise that was source of serenity and feesh air.

The entire place was surrounded by tall, colorful trees and in the middle of it was the beautiful, mesmerizing bed of different flowers.

It stunned Halora as she thought such kind place only existed in fiction and will never be seen in the reality, but, now that she watched the butterflies and bees loitered around the flowers convinced her that nothing is impossible to happen.

"Wow! I can't... I can't imagine that this sanctuary is breathtakingly real!"

"Of course it exists! It just that you don't have so much time to travel around the country." he said, tapped her hair and messed it.

Sebastian secretly took out the camera from his pocket, slowly turned around on her and took a stolen shot of her smelling one of the red roses.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

She noticed that he seemed like doing something suspicious behind her. She narrowed her eyes, looked into his hands but, she saw nothing.

He replied, "Nothing. Just watching the butterflies flying around you."

Halora quickly turned around as she realized that she was surrounded by colorful butterflies. She stood in the right side of the entire sanctuary while Sebastian took step away from her.

Not because he planned to leave but to record the stunning view in front of him. "Stand by, Halora! I got something with me."

And finally, he showed to her the camera that he kept for some quiet time. He almost forgot about it because of the incidents that happened at the beach.

"1, 2, 3... say cheese!"

"One more time! Ready... 1, 2, 3... smile!"

His husky voice sounded off as he became Halora's photographer. He never do such thing to the other girls who almost surrender themselves to him.

"Alright, why don't you try to look at the lens and give your sweetest smile, do you understand?"

"Y– yes!" she replied shortly.

Right then on, Halora faced him, looked at the camera and smiled genuinely like an angel without wings. Her glowing brown eyes, pointed nose, crimson lips and rosy cheeks complemented with her long, ginger–red hair.

And to his surprise, Halora giggled gracefully that made his system stopped functioning. He gaped, uttered a word but it was difficult for him to do so.

"Hey, since we're here, why don't we take pictures together? I... I mean, a remembrance!"

Yet he didn't move nor utter a word. Halora waved her hands on the camera, trying to get his attention but nothing changed until she decided to grab it off of his hands.

"Hey! What are you doing? What were you looking at?"

"N– nothing! Just nonsense picture!"

But Halora quickly grabbed it off, pressed the small button at the right and a perfect photograph of a girl who was giggling gracefully showed up to the screen.

It surprised her to death, covered her mouth as her lips shivered and her knees trembled because of embarrassment.

Her heart filled with great happiness when she saw her face at the screen. She thought she would look ugly on the screen but fortunately, it turned out to be perfect and real.

"Give it back to me, Halora!"

Sebastian quickly took the camera from her grip, reviewed her pictures that made him smile. But he knew she was staring at him and he abruptly frowned, furrowed his brow and acted like a mysterious, strict young man.

"What are you waiting for? Come with me and we will wander around and take selfies as many as we can. Do you get it?"

"Selfies? But I'm not into such thing! I mean, I don't have even any social media accounts!"

Halora felt sorry for herself as her cellular phone was out of date than her classmates. She even hated the poor quality of her phone camera that's why she had no choice but to use it only for important transactions.

Sebastian gasped, titled his head to the left and he replied, "Don't worry, we have one thing in common and that's it living my life to the fullest and in private."

"Why? Are you afraid that you will get only one follower and reactor?" she asked him as they walked slowly to the fence of bed of flowers. "Or are you afraid that your crush might ignore you?"

Halora waited for his answer as she didn't know that he was recording everything. She gulped, swallowed greedily as she listened to the sound of his heart.

But before he uttered a word, he stopped in the middle of flowers, "None of the above." he said certainly. "Close your eyes, you have no choice but to obey my command."

"Okay, just don't leave me alone or I will tell everyone why you have no social media accounts."

As she closed her eyes, Sebastian quickly picked three red roses, hid it at his back and he faced the camera to her solemn face.

He didn't know that as the time goes by, his heart slowly longing for the love he felt many hears ago. As he only remembered Cassia because of Halora's presence, he didn't want to jump into a conclusion that will only hurt Halora in the end.

"I can see Cassia's soul in you, Halora." he thought.

Until Halora stomped her feet, pouted her lips that gave him a signal. "It seems like you can't wait a little bit longer." he smirked. "Alright, I'll be counting one to three and after that, you have to open your eyes. Understood?"

"Understood."

By that moment, Sebastian counted from one to three as his heart beated too fast and intensely. He felt something odd and strong feeling towards her but he knew it was wrong.

"Open your eyes, Halora."

In a sweet, hollow voice, she slowly opened her eyes as she only saw darkness and a blurred shadow of a man. To her horror, she took a deep breath, relaxed her eyes until she saw flowers infront of her.

She stumbled, took steps backward and she said, "What's going on? Why are you holding three roses?"

And without any explanation, Sebastian gave the flowers to her. "Please accept these beautiful, fragrant roses like you." he told her as he looked intently into her eyes and the butterflies whirled around them.
