Chapter 66 - 66: A Sweet, Exquisite Moment

After a horrifying confrontation, Sebastian walked away from the room and left Halora sleeping. He went to the rooftop of the hotel, chased some peace of mind for the moment.

He leaned over to the pavilion, looking through the wide, noisy city. But the lights came from different edifices and skyscrapers, fortunately, brought peace and the cold whispers of the wind.

Anger plastered to his face after he called his mother. He wanted to be alone in a room where he can enjoy the view, the great, soothing ambiance, and do everything he wanted to do.

But in a flash of lightning, it was all ruined because of Sandra. He knew she hoped to be with him always but it annoyed him every time he saw her face.

"She ruined my day ever since!" He stomped his feet to the ground as he savored the cold breeze touched on his skin.

His empty stomach scoured for food but he has no plan of going back to that room.

"I'd rather stay here than being with her the whole time! Tss, such a pain in my ass!"

Hatred flaunted over his gloomy face. He seemed like a dragon that was ready to burn its prey and enemies. Bruises and small cuts wrapped his fists after he punched the wall earlier.

Sebastian has never been into girls. Despite the popularity he had obtained, he never played someone's feelings nor took their weaknesses for granted.

He loved his mother so much and that was the reason why he remained loyal and respected the girls around him. But Sandra was the only exception, for him, she is a leech who only planned to suck his blood to death.

But he never denied the truth that she was an ideal type of girlfriend. Tall, flawless like a fairy skin, popular, and most of all, rich and beautiful.

"Beautiful without a sense of humor!" He spoke to the wind as if it were a human who could give him any advice. His brow furrowed as he took a deep, heavy breath and closed his eyes.

Until a cold, strong howling wind blew up his wet hair. It was different from earlier but he ignored it.

"Sebastian? I– is that you?" spoke a girl behind him. She stepped back, held the box of pizza in her hands. His presence made her knees weak and tremble like he was an earthquake that could ruin things out. "Sandra is looking for you since Roy and I went to the mall earlier."

Her voice seemed to be different from what it should be. Since Halora saw them together at the movie booth the other day, she became another person too easily.

But Sebastian didn't utter a single word. He was watching the beautiful city lights while Halora stood awkwardly.

Halora never thought she would meet him at the hotel's rooftop that moment. She just wanted peace, a place where she could enjoy her own company. And she finally found the perfect spot without noises and people who only idolized judgments.

"Do you want some pizza? I... I also brought a can of pineapple juice." She said but he remained quiet at the spot where he stood at. "Wait! I'll find something to use as a table. Don't you ever open it first or I... I will– never mind!"

She stuttered, turned around on him but suddenly, Sebastian grabbed her arms and pulled her closer to him. Accidentally, Halora's face stuck into his chest that electrified her entire system, brought butterflies to her stomach and her pulse had stopped pounding.

For a second, he looked intently at her brown, round eyes. He has no bad intention to Halora but he wished to stay longer in that position with her.

He held his breath for a long time like what Halora did too. His right hand rested on her waist while the opposite laid on her back. And Halora used her straight as her hands were on his chest that kept a small distance from each other.

"Where do you think you're going, Young lady?"

She gulped, opened her mouth to speak, "I... I thought of looking for a table but if you don't want, we can sit d– do– down on the ground a– an– and eat the pizza that I brought!"

Halora forced herself to stare at him without malice. She controlled her emotions, chose to pretend but deep down in her soul, she enjoyed every single moment with him.

"Let's e–eat now! Come on, join me because tomorrow morning, we will be having our first-ever activity!" She exclaimed, tried to be jolly and enthusiastic but before she pulled him away, Halora felt the warmth he can only give.

By then, she smiled over her shoulders that left him dumbfounded and shocked. It amazed him but he kept it a secret.

With excitement, she quickly bent low, opened the box, and a creamy, delicious pizza stunned her. "Here, take your part. I know you haven't eaten anything yet."

"How did you know?"

"I saw a paper bag earlier while organizing my things, unfortunately, I threw it into the trashcan." She took a bite to eat, gnawing the pineapples that were scattered throughout the crust with cheese and sausages.

He giggled, "No, it's fine. I forgot about it too. But don't worry, next time I won't waste any kind of food."

"That's great to hear!" She replied shortly.

And by that moment, the two of them enjoyed each other's company. Halora cherished memories with him, good and bad while Sebastian shared laughter with her because of his not so funny jokes.

He knew that it was only temporary, yet, he chose to take a risk than regret in the end. "Ha– Halora!" He called her by her name, as it stopped her from moving.

"W– what? Why are you looking at me that way, huh? Did I say something that hurt you? Or offended you–"

Sebastian stooped to her. He then abruptly put his index finger to her lips and wiped out the sauce all over her face. "Shh, stop talking. You eat like a little child!" He scolded her until Halora realized that he was truly a caring, benevolent campus bad boy.

After a long while, they had both shared a sweet, exquisite moment.
