Chapter 650 - That's the role of a wife

"Since you are like this, who will instruct your gang now, huh?" 

Although his men saw that he had been hurt, they didn't dare to act without being instructed to do so. The two men had after all agreed to face each other on their own. Not to mention, if they really broke into a fight, it would be suicidal. Who was to say that there weren't any hidden guards waiting to attack? 

Ruolin speechlessly took in the current development. How was this possible? 

Lin Ye had been in an accident not too long ago. Shouldn't he be a weakling now?

"Not so fast!" Yun Xuan yelled when the whole bunch suddenly scurried away. 

"Forget it." Lin Ye held her hand. "The main headache is down anyway." 

"What are you going to do with him?" 

Lin Ye called a bodyguard. "Call a doctor over." 

Yun Xuan looked at him in surprise, and he tousled her hair. "I'm not that kind. It's just too soon for him to die."

Back in the house. 

Yun Xuan took Lin Ye's hand and examined him like she was conducting an extremely important scientific experiment. 

"What's up?" Lin Ye chuckled at her antics. 

"I'm examining you." 

Lin Ye's features softened. She really meant it when she made him promise to not shed a drop of blood.

"Should I take my clothes off so you can examine every inch of my body?" He teased. 

Yun Xuan pursed her lips. It was not a bad idea..  actually. "Don't fool around!" She scolded. 

Soon, she saw that his hands had some skin scraped off and frowned in displeasure. 

Lin Ye saw what she was looking at and retracted his hand, like a kid caught red handed. "I just scraped some skin. No drop of blood dripped out of it so I didn't break my promise, did I?" 

"Don't try to worm your way out of it!" Yun Xuan scolded with a serious expression. 

Lin Ye smiled gently at her and said, "Fine. Then I'll leave it to you to punish me as you wish, my love." 

Yun Xuan paled in surprise. He had directly switched his way of addressing her from Xuanxuan to 'my love'. This man! 

"No next time." She finally said, letting him off this once. 

"Mmh. Then, darling, it's my turn to punish you." 

"Huh? Hey!" Yun Xuan exclaimed when he unceremoniously pushed her against the wall. 

The man looked into her eyes dangerously, his gaze fiery and tempting. "You promised to stay in the house and be good but walked right out when it was most dangerous. Tell me, how should I punish you?" 

Before she could respond, his lips covered hers.

In the end, Lin Ye really made his brother's life so miserable that he wished to die. 

Not only could he not ever sit or stand due to his broken spine, he was also informed that his mother was still alive. The despair of not being able to see someone even though they were alive was worse than if the person were dead. 

Forget about the fact that he was now just a puppet and his former loyal bodyguards had been hired to play with him as they pleased and torture him as much as  they wanted. 

He also watched Lin Ye do the only thing that he had dreaded. 

The man bought over the company shares from Lin Hancheng and a few major shareholders, and took over the company.

That morning, there were several suits on Lin Ye's bed. 

He glanced at Yun Xuan who was beside him. "Head Stylist Xuanxuan, I'm going to attend a business meeting later. Please help me select the most suitable clothes to wear?" 

Yun Xuan glanced back at him, obviously not feeling awkward that she was in a man's room so early in the morning, and that the man only had a bathrobe on with probably nothing beneath. Perhaps it was because she trusted him so much that she almost forgot he was a man. Either that or she didn't mind being taken advantage of by him. 

She looked through the suits on the bed then frowned. "Why should I help you? Isn't that the role of a wife?" 

Lin Ye gave her a mischievous look. "Honey, that's the point." 

Yun Xuan was speechless. This guy had changed his tactics. In the past, he would simply want to have her by his side and do nothing. 

He had become much bold lately and even kissing and seduction was being used.

Not like she minded it... 

She quickly chose a sapphire suit and quickly bolted out. If she didn't, that man would simply start dressing up in her presence.

Yun Xuan had a business meeting too. As soon as she left his room, she freshened up and dressed up too. They each went their ways. 

As soon as the meeting was over,  she checked her phone for news. 

Skimming through the headlines, she was stunned speechless. 

Lin Ye took over the Lin family company, but be only did it so he would sell it at an extremely cheap price! It was almost a hundredth of the company's value. That company wouldn't have been bought at such a low price even if it went bankrupt. 

Worst of all, as soon as the transaction was done, he directly sent all the money to a charity organisation. 

When his father got the news, he suffered a heart attack. This was probably what Lin Ye wanted: for him to watch his hard work of many years get sold off at a humiliating price. 

"So savage..." Yun Xuan mumbled.

Yun Xuan understood the situation within seconds and smiled. Ruolin had neither been punished too severely nor let off too easily. 

Her enemies would torture the hell out of her. And since she had almost always worked together with Tyler, she wouldn't definitely drag him down with her.
