Chapter 648 - Willingly seeking death

Yun Xuan blinked. What was he doing? He was not going to kiss her, right? 

Lin Ye looked into her eyes and then at her lips. She was biting on them slightly, and she didn't seem to have any resistance against him. He lowered his head and planted his lips on hers. 

Yun Xuan's heart raced wildly. It didn't even race this hard when she had her first kiss. 

The man didnt do anything else, he simply let his lips stay on hers and this was practically a tease. The effect was much more than if he deeply kissed her. 

He wrapped his hand around her waist, pulled her body so close to his own that they were almost moulded together. Then he gently parted her lips using his own and kissed her. 

Right at this moment, a commotion broke out outside. 

A bodyguard rushed in and reported, "master... outside!" 

"What's outside? Don't you know how to speak?!" Lin Ye was irritated from being interrupted. 

"I fight broke out. I don't know who the intruders are. The whole team has been deployed to fight them off; only I came back to report." 

Yun Xuan glanced at Lin Ye whose expression had turned ghastly. "Do you think it's related to your bother?" 

"I was afraid he wouldn't ever attack." Lin Ye clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles cracked. When he looked at Yun Xuan, the murderous intent in his eyes was long gone and replaced with a gentle gaze. "Xuanxuan, stay in the house. I'll go and deal with them." 

Yun Xuan clung onto his arm in protest. "I'll go with you." Afraid that he would think she was just being stubborn, she looked up at him and said, "When I was in Germany, I learnt to fight so I could defend my son if need arose. I could only protect him myself so I learnt a lot in a short time."

Lin Ye didnt doubt her. However, she was pregnant when she went to Country G and when the little boy was born, she couldn't immediately do such strenuous exercise. She could only have done it between the time she completely recovered and the time she returned to Country C, which was just a few months. 

The intruders obviously had to be some strong team if they were able to make his bodyguard deploy the whole team and still look panicked. 

In comparison, Yun Xuan would probably look like a little ant. 

He rubbed her head. "Be good. This won't take long." 

Lin Ye had probably read her mind. He took her hand and led her upstairs, into the master bedroom. He pressed a few buŧŧons somewhere and a section of the wall rolled open, revealing a secret room. "Go on." He said to her. 

Yun Xuan stared at him. No wonder after going to this master bedroom many times, she felt it was slightly smaller that she would imagine. So it was because there was a hidden room. 

Thinking that she was shocked by the appearance of another room, Lin Ye explained, "This room has always been here in case of an emergency like an ȧssassination. It won't open unless I open it myself. Even if the enemy knew that you are here, they wouldn't manage to get you.

"I don't want to go in." She said stubbornly. 

The sound of things banging against each other grew clearer. Lin Ye cursed. This wasn't going to be good. "Be good." 

Seeing that he was helpless, she relented but it was only halfway. "I can't willingly let you lock me in. Just go and I'll stay in this room. If I sense any danger, I'll enter the secret room on my own." 

Lin Ye was about to insist but he recalled the story he had heard from a reliable source... about Yun Xuan's ex boyfriend trying to burn her to death after tying her up. 

He scolded himself in his heart. What was he thinking? That experience must have triggered claustrophobia in her. How could he want to lock her in a room? 

Yun Xuan did indeed develop claustrophobia. But it only lasted a short while after that incident. The reason she didn't want to be locked away right now was that she was worried Lin Ye would be hurt on his own. 

"Stay right here, okay?" He said and turned to leave. 

In that instant, Yun Xuan's mind was filled with the image of him in hospital after his accident, all bandaged up and in moving, filled with the doctor's words about his life or death being uncertain... 

That time he had almost lost his life. If they hurt him this time he would really...

She suddenly hugged his waist and said in a shaky voice, "I don't want you to go! What if they only want you to go out so they can kill you? Don't go, let your bodyguards handle it, okay?" 

This was a foreign tone that Lin Ye had never heard from her before. She sounded exactly like a wife worried that her husband would die in battle. He stared blankly into space before turning to look at her. "Xuanxuan, are you worried about me?" 

He was elated, and his dėsɨrė to finish those people off soared higher. "Just wait for me. I promise to come back without a single hair missing."  

"You are not allowed to lose a single drop of blood." 

"Mmh. I will not." 

When he left the room, Yun Xuan paced nervously. 

What she had not mentioned just now was that aside from learning to fight in Country G, she had been trained since she was young. although she couldn't measure up to those extraordinary experts of Lu Aotian's variety, her skill was quite decent. She might not help much but a large number was advantageous at such a time. 

She paused and snapped. What nonsense was she thinking? She should be finding a way to increase the numbers. What could one person like her do? 

Meanwhile, Lin Ye's mouth twitched. He didn't know that there were people who would go seek their death willingly.
