Fred and his parents left.. they will stay with him till the engagement party..Tina helped her mom to clean the kitchen.. her mom kept humming to herself.. Tina never saw her so happy.. it made Tina happy.. even her Dad peeked into the kitchen and smiled at his wife.. happiness was in the air..

Tina slept well, and woke up fresh.. she had a good breakfast and drove to office.. she had meetings and conference calls lined up for the whole day.. she also started training Rahul and Satya who were alloted to her..

As usual she entered the office and went to her seat, left her bag and brought herself a coffee.. Jason's secretary came towards her, she suddenly froze, she came to Tina and said, 'my.. my.. what a pretty ring.. ' Tina saw her and smiled.. she started examining the ring.. she winked at Tina and asked, 'are you engaged? 'Tina nodded.. she gasped and said, 'oh my God.. who is the lucky guy? '

Tina said, 'I will let you know shortly.. ' and smiled..Fred came in, he smiled at Tina.. there was a bounce in his step.. Jason's secretary noticed Tina and Fred exchanging a smile.. she put two and two together.. she smiled to herself..then..she too got busy with her activities..

Slowly people started coming in... Jason too came and went to his office..his secretary went in and briefed him regarding his schedule.. he nodded absently.. he said to her.. 'ask Fred to come in.. ' she nodded and left..

Fred went into Jason's office, Jason said, 'next week, me and Tina will leave to Swiss, for meeting.. I have some important clients coming here around the same time.. please take care of them for me.. ' Fred said, 'of course boss.. I will.. ' Jason said, 'ok, ask Tina to come in.. and Fred I need an update from you on the numbers for this week.. ' Fred said, 'I am working on the same.. give me some time.. ' and left..

Tina went into Jason's office.. he didn't look at her at all.. he said, 'Tina.. after office I need you to help me with shopping to decorate my home... next week we will fly to Swiss.. so be ready.. ' Tina nodded and went..

Fred ordered some sweets and snacks.. as they came in.. he asked Jason's secretary to help him by gathering all the people.. he said he needed to make a personal announcement.. as everyone gathered in the common area, Fred said, 'friends, I would like to share a happy news.. I got engaged yesterday.. 'everyone cheered and cried congrats.. someone said, 'who is the lucky girl.. ' Fred said, 'well, you all know her.. ' Tina took a deep breath and moved towards Fred, everyone gasped.. some cried, 'behind our backs.. this was happening.. oh God.!! ' many cheered.. many cried, 'great couple.. ' Jason said, 'congratulations... when is the big day.' Tina said, 'we will remain engaged for some time.. since we both were recently promoted we feel that we need to give some time to our career.. ' Jason said, 'ok everyone, tonight I will treat you all on behalf of Fred and Tina.. let's get high.. cheers to the new couple.. ' everyone cheered.. Fred said, 'Boss.. let it be.. we will soon be hosting an engagement party.. officially..we can all get high then..meanwhile let's all work and achieve our numbers.. ' everyone felt let down, Fred said, 'guys come on.. let's prove ourselves, we even postponed the party till sales closing so that everyone would be in a good state of mind.. ' Tina said, 'I think with Jason's guidance, all of us can achieve our targets... ' Jason said, 'not just achieve.. I am looking for extra numbers.. ok since we need to wait little more to toast the couple.. let's all go and start working now.. ' everyone nodded, they finished eating.. some of them came personally to congratulate the couple..

Jason was standing in a corner and looking at them.. compared to Fred he was older, but he didn't lose out to him in looks.. in his mind Jason drew an excel sheet and started comparing Fred to himself.. after some time he said, 'Tina, Fred.. come to my office.. ' they looked at each other and followed him..

Jason said, 'are you both fools? ' they were shocked.. Jason said, 'why did you make an announcement? ' Fred recovered fast and said, 'why, is there a problem? ' Jason said, 'both of you.. don't you know the company policy? ' Tina said, 'what policy? ' Jason said, 'our company will not hire a married couple.. they provide employment either to the husband or wife.. in case coulleagues get married, one of them needs to resign post marriage.. ' Tina gasped.. Fred said, 'so.. now? ' Jason said, 'not now.. but after your marriage.. one of you has to resign.. why didn't you speak to me before making the announcement..? ' Tina and Fred exchanged looks, they were screwed..
