122 Reunited 2

Rodora slept all the way through their journey to country A.

She just woke up when she felt that the helicopter landed and it meant that she arrived.

They walked away from the helipad and then a car on standby was waiting for them. Arthur manned the driver seat and promptly greeted them.

"Welcome back Young master, Madam..."

Lyndon just nodded and so is Rodora.

They alighted the car and Arthur drove towards the L&L Empire.

Lyndon phoned Maybell about his return and then he instructed something to her.

"Send the files to Kyler King and ask him if he's willing to meet me..."

Maybell then on the other end rummaged her computer to send the files Lyndon had told.

She knew that what are those files but she did not know why the man had sent something like that to him.

In any way, they were never related is what Maybell had thought all this while. She did not know that Kyler was her boss' brother, Leonard.

The fact is still remain hidden except for Lyndon's trusted aides.

Kyler did not know that his tone made the woman tremble in fear.

She hurried to see him and found that the man is fuming in anger which she knew she caused.

'Why so moody?' Carmi thought while facing the cold and ruthless Kyler in front of him.

"Where have you been?" Kyler's voice sounded so angry.

"I have been completing the assigned tasks for our departure..." Carmi reasoned. She knew that the man would ask something like that thus, on the way to his office, she ransacked her brains for a plausible excuse which sounded true and natural.

Thus it resulted in this answer.

Kyler knew that their trip to Brunei is out of his schedule and he had so many things to do and the more he's busy, the busier Carmi gets.

Thus, he did not suspected that Carmi had been lying to him.

"Ohhh... I thought you're just intentionally avoiding me... You can get back to work now..." Kyler dismissed her. He could not delay her work anymore. He might be just overly sensitive towards the matter.

Carmi walked out from his office and went back to her own with a stiff expression. Luckily, the man did not notice it and she locked the doors from the inside and then slid down with an ashen face.

She thought that she'd be licked clean again judging from his expression earlier.

The relief and guilt were mixed together and thus she resulted in mix emotions. She truly did not want to reject her boss' proposal but as a woman, it's quite absurd that he took responsibility of what had happened between them suddenly. And with her boss' temperament its totally absurd. He was a cold and unfeeling fellow and he's just ruthless and cunning man she ever met in her entire life.

Never in her mind crossed that he was a gentleman and caring at all!

Back in his office, Kyler pondered whether if Carmi had seen his gift for her but he was brought out from his reverie when his phone rang. It was an email notification.

Kyler tapped the mail icon and viewed the contents of the email.

The more he read the contents, the more his face went ashen and some sweat beads forming on his forehead.

He could not believe it. His paternal family has been in Korea all this while and back there he thought that his father killed them without a second thought just to get power and backings. He could not believe that his brother was subjected to torment the moment when he was forced to shoot him and to fake his death.

All this while, he thought that he was the one who was abandoned but the truth was they never did. It was just their way of protecting him.

His mouth ran dry and he could not believe the contents of the email. It might be someone who just messes his plans.

He looked at the sender and found out that it was from the L&L Empire.

He looked at his phone hatefully that he wanted to smash it up but then, another email came in and he tapped it to read.

"I want to meet you... L&L Empire top floor..." that was the content of the email.
