110 4 Days Before Christmas

Lyndon became busy because of the ship wreck. He tried his best to retrieve the gifts he had prepared for Misha for this Christmas.

The retrieval operation proceeded smoothly but when he checked the contents of the ship, he was devastated by the outcome.

The ship became an empty shell aside from the corpses of some of his men. Their bodies became bloated as they were aired up.

The amount of that ship was not small. It contained a lot of important shipments for his company and what made him more upset was that the gifts he had prepared turned to nothing or much worse is now in the hands of another person.

He walked away from the pier and made a phone call.

"Find out who did this!!" Lyndon roared out before the other end could talk.

As he did not find the things he wanted the most, he rode his car back to the L&L Empire with a foul mood.

He wanted to crash the person who did it.

Kyler received a call from Brunei.

"Boss, the items are now being transported to your private property here in Brunei." a man's voice said.

"Good. Make sure to leave no trace." Kyler's mood lightened upon hearing that news.

"Don't worry boss... I made sure that it looked like the pirates did it. They will not suspect that you planned it all." the voice on the other end sounded so confident.

"Okay. I'll leave everything in your care." Kyler was reassured and he was quite excited to see what kind of finds they had this time.

"Yes boss."

Kyler hung up and then sat back on his chair as he kept tapping his pen on his hands. He had that amused smile on his face and it is quite rare to him this happy.

Thinking back at it, he had planned to hi-jack some random ship with his men and loot things to sell at the under ground market.

Luckily, he had hit the jackpot this time as it was Lyndon's ship and how did he knew, the ship was named after Misha and the ship was quite loaded.

When they worked, he will not use his men to do things but hired some pirates do the job for him and the kill them to serve no witness and evidence of the looting.

This is his true business.

He had accumulated wealth and power through this and he had no plan on stopping this kind of life even Carmi would answer positively to his proposal. In any way, he will not accept no for an answer and he knew the woman was wise enough to tell that he's that type of person.

True enough, Carmi had found her answer and she know that Kyler will be delighted upon hearing it. She knew that Kyler's type is not someone to be triffled with and not to be treated as a joke but she had left no choice.

Either she say yes or no, Kyler will force her to have his way and she doesn't want that. She has stillbrother waiting for her in country X.

She had to persevere and one way to do this is not to accumulate her boss' anger.

Carmi went to work that day with a plan on her head. She needed something in return before she accepted his proposal.

Carmi did her usual job with ease and Kyler did not pester her throughout the day which made her sigh in relief.

But the peaceful day shattered when Kyler went to her own office to mess around.

"Is there anything you need Sir?" Carmi sounded so professional and it made Kyler frown. Carmi sounded so distant to him.

"Have you forgotten about something?" Kyler asked as he crossed his arms on top of his chest. He was just standing at the door of her office and some of Carmi's colleagues heard their boss' question but they dared not to pry because they needed all their jobs.

"Have I?" Carmi retorted. She knew what he's talking about but she's not that easily threatened even if he's her boss.

He clearly gave her a day to think his proposal over but the woman seemed not to answer it today.

"No... no... I was just asking... By the way... book me tickets to Brunei and you are coming with me. I need to settle some things over there for a few days." Kyler said before he turned his back on her and walked back to his own office with a little smile on his face.

Before she could turn down the offer, the man vanished from her sight and just could only sigh out of frustration.

She hated travelling especially riding on a plane. It was the cause of their entire family's death. Ever since, she had develop a phobia in riding planes.

But then, who is she to turn down her boss offer. She needed to pay for her brother's tuition fee and money to survive in this foreign place thus she could not be picky..

Later that day, she received a little surprise.
