83 Jane's Little Love Affair

Jane became Lyndon's second secretary after the merger. She was assigned to handle the international matters of the company thus, it needed for her to travel here and there.

She accepted the job because she needed money, basic but most of all, she knew that she could broaden her skills and experience from this so its a win-win situation for her.

Love life, well, you could say that it didn't matter to her, or she could only lie to herself about it. She's on the 'denial stage.'

When she became an assistant of old man Andrew, she was delighted because she's the one that was given the privilege of being one. She could experience life in a high profiled way but she did not get it in her head and remained humble. She knew that all of this is temporary so, she tried to save money instead.

Jane grew up in a normal societal family. His father is an employee and her mother is a housekeeper. She had a sibling with ADHD and needed treatment from time to time. She was the one who strive hard to get where she is now and her primary motivation is her younger brother. She wanted the best for him.

Jane graduated at a top university in country A as a magna cum laude. She's a top marketing agent in the country thus, she was often poached by the different companies and one of them was the Lewis Empire. She worked for the Lewis Empire because the wage is higher than other companies even though, she will be an assistant of the old man. She thought that her job was not that difficult but she thought wrong. The place was filled with competitive people from the different walks of life and it taught her to be tough and hard. She was taught of the lesson in a hard way thus she was mindful of her actions from then on.

It was July when she met Capt. Michel for the first time and she never thought that it will lead to her road to forever. She never knew that the man was dead set on her.

Jane is a beautiful woman. She's a not so tall but she could present herself well during the times that its needed. She was originally had a long black hair but she dyed it with light brown and curled it softly on the ends. She also have a fetish of ripped and tattered clothing. When she was still a

student, she was often mistaken as a punk or a thug because of her get up.

When she first met the man, it was when he personally looked for her because of the flight iterinary that she left during the time when she still worked at the Lewis Empire.

It was an important flight and she will be personally representing the L&L Empire this time and she forgot to take and then, Capt. Michel looked for her to give the iterinary.

He was like a celebrity. With a beach blond hair and ocean blue eyes plastered in a white porcelained face. He was tall and well built because of his profession. He was in the armed forces before he quit and he settled to be a pilot of a passenger aircraft.

He was standing on the lobby of the company when he waited for Jane and it caused enough ruckus around the company. Some of the office ladies went to the lobby to see the beauty that was standing there and fed their eyes with an ample amount of vitamins. He really looked like a celebrity and they wanted to have a photo with him but the man seemed not to care with his surroundings. All he wanted to see was Jane. His Jane.

He saw her picture at the company's portfolio and that was the reason why he settled down as a pilot than manage his corporation personally.

He knew that the woman piqued his interest and the excuse he had was to deliver the flight iterinary personally to her. It was to create an opportunity to talk to her longer than 5 minutes and to ask her out for dinner.

The receptionist hurriedly called the secretarial office to inform that someone was looking for Jane De Rosi.

"Sir, Ms. De Rosi said that you should proceed to the secretarial department at the 6th floor. Here's a pass." the receptionist told him politely.

"Thanks." he said to receptionist as he proceeded to the secretarial office.

Jane was already waiting for the man outside the office. She knew that it will cause an undying gossip if she will meet the man inside the room full of hyenas.

That day, she wore an all blue office suit and it accentuated her body properly and she looked more beautiful than of the other day. The man slowly approached her. She looked at him with an indifferent emotion. She did not show any ripple of it in her eyes. She glanced at the frivolous looking man who was walking towards her with a paper in his hands.

"Mr. Michel I suppose?" she asked first with a cold expression in her face. She did not smile not even a business smile.

"Yup. I'm here to deliver the iterinary that you forgot from the office." he said smiling. It showed his dimples on his face and it really complimented his handsome face but still, it did not attract the woman in front of him.

"Thank you for the trouble Mr. Michel." she said bluntly. She will not fall for his tricks because to her, he looked like a womanizer and judging from his work, it involved alot of women so, she will not fall for his cheap tricks.

Without knowing why the woman had such hostility towards him, he scratched the back of his head with an awkward smile onn his face.

"No worries, and besides, I'm here to visit Lyndon. Is he in?" he asked nervously at the woman in front of him.

Jane knew that Winston Michel is a friend of Lyndon but not that close. They were acquaintances during the time that they were in the army.

"Yes but he's in a meeting now." Jane answered him directly.

"Is that so? It's kind of urgent so can I meet him?" he was truthfully disappointed and it showed on his face like an abandoned puppy.

"I don't think so. He will be having another meeting after this one so, he will not have time to meet you." she said with a clear hostility on her voice. In her perspective, the man was just finding some excuse to talk to her longer.

"Is that so. Also, I'll leave my business card so, can you please pass it to him? I have something important to discuss with him." he said as he rummaged his side pocket and fetched his card holder and got one.

It was a silver card with an intricate sidings. She accepted it without any word.

"I'll get going and tell Lyndon that I have a business proposal for him." he said as he paced back and walked towards the elevator.

Jane got back without any word to the office as it was time that the meeting of Lyndon concluded and another meeting with the foreign investors from country S will commence. He will be having a 20 minute break and that will be the time she will be reporting to him about their foreign subsidiaries and the second branch of L&L in France.

She fished the business card in her pocket and mindlessly fiddled it with her fingers. She looked at the ceiling as she reminisced the scene where Winston looked like an abandoned puppy. He really looked cute and he's utterly handsome. She walked towards Lyndon's office and stuffed back the calling card in her pocket.
