65 Check-Ups

It's already one in the morning but the bungalow bustled with happy people. Shane phoned Albert that Misha was already awake and they immediately went back to the island to see her.

Grandpa Lewis on the other hand was crying with joy. He wondered that it could be a blessing in disguise that he traveled to the island in such an hour. He was jumping here and there inside the private jet like a kid.

Seeing the chairman like that, Jane could only face-palm and shake her head. Never in the years she had seen the old man had acted like a happy kid getting his favorite toy.

She wanted to call his attention but how could she do that? When the old man went around the plane shaking hands of the crew that was boarding along with them?

'Is he really a powerful person?' Jane could not help but doubt Andrew the way he behaved even though, she clearly knew the answer.

"Chairman, we are about to land. Please wear your seatbelt on." a beautiful flight attendant came in to remind him personally.

The old man just smiled at the attendant and sat back on his seat. Then suddenly, he spoke, "What's your name young lady? I would love to have dinner with you. Can we?" he asked charmingly.

The attendant however just smiled at him.

Jane on the other had a myriad of emotions of her face. She could not believe that this old man, casually flirted with the flight attendant. Luckily, the attendant seemed not to mind his advances. Not when the attendant winked at the old man and gave out a coquettish look.

Shucks!

How naive of her?

The old man even giggled like a teenager. Her jaw dropped with what she had witnessed.

How shameless can this old man get?

They were acting cutesy. Jane could not take it any longer. She purposely sat beside the chairman as her chair was directly across him. The old man shifted his gaze to the young secretary beside him.

"What is it?" the old man asked as he waved cutely to the attendant.

"Chairman, your scheduled general check up will be just around the corner. Don't go around jumping like that carelessly because you have so much to do at the merged companies as Mr. Lincoln still could not assume his position as CEO" Jane forcefully reminded him and even stressed out the check up in her reminder. She also made sure that the attendant heard them.

With that, Andrew could only shut his mouth up. Acting indifferently again like nothing had happened chummy in the air between the flight attendant and him, he tightly buckled himself up not even glancing at Jane. He knew that this secretary of his intentionally reprimanded him in front of the beautiful lady. He even pouted his lips like he has been wronged and the he let out a, "hmph!" towards Jane, who could not be more feeling awkward than she is at the moment.

'Gah! Why did he suddenly acted up? Is he a kid?' she internally questioned the universe. She really wanted to roll her eyes but was afraid that she will be stepping out of the boundary.

On the contrary, instead of being disheartened, the attendant giggled cutely. She's seeing the old man acting like a kid to his secretary and she really found it cute.

Jane however had seen this, suddenly felt that she had another matter to solve sooner than expected.

As she was running down some thoughts within her, the captain greeted the VIP they have aboard.

"Hello, this is Capt. Michel speaking, We're now currently at 20,000 feet above sea level and the city underneath us is one of the magnificent islands of country N. We're now about to land to a private island owned by the renowned Andrew Lewis. Thank you sir for having us on board. Thank you for choosing Alpha Airlines for this immediate flight. Once again, this is Capt. Michel speaking." after hearing this, the plane slightly titled as it prepared for the landing.

Jane on the other hand did not know that the pilot for this time is that man. What she instructed to the airline was that to find them an available pilot for their immediate flight to the island. She did not bothered the details because this airline is from one of their subsidiaries and all have been background checked. Jane did not thought about so much and just sat beside the chairman without any ruckus. She buckled her seatbelt tightly as she did not liked the feeling when landing and taking off of the craft. Every time that they would take off or land, she would close her eyes and grip the armrest of the chair tightly. It was like her stomach had been churned and the feeling that she wanted to vomit because of the pressure.

She closed her eyes the moment that the plane was about to land.

"Mr. Lewis, we have arrived! Thank you for choosing Alpha Airlines. Have a great day ahead." the flight attendant wished them while preparing the things for their departure.
