62 Michele’s Confession

Could it be her daughter?

Albert and Rodora looked at each other with the same question in mind. As much as they liked to ask the question, it seemed that Shane have no idea about it either. Albert knew of Belle Yang's identity partially but he did not knew her parents.

He silently sipped his tea and mindlessly ate the sweets on the table while keeping an eye to the two people sitting across him.

Dr. Williams stood up and began speaking after a long deafening silence inside the room. Their heads turned towards to the young doctor.

She explained it in layman terms that Misha can now feel and hear. It will be a matter of days before she will fully regain her consciousness. She said that during that time, she will needed to undergo series of therapies.Her muscles were all sore and any sudden movements may impel her healing process. Her therapies should be performed in large hospitals back in Country A as they have the full capacity to supervise her treatment. They have to move her back in other words.

Upon hearing this, his in-laws and parents looked at him. They wanted to know if Lyndon will agree to this.

Lyndon became silent. He propped his hands under his chin without even noticing his actions. It will be beneficial for Misha to have therapy in the hospital but the problem is, the public still did not know about his marriage to her. Much more the incident happened 8 months ago

"I'll have to agree on this because I want her to recover fully and if by taking her back to a hospital will do so, then so be it." Lyndon stated.

"Don't worry son. I'll have Duke handle the press conference." Michele butted in. She can sense that Lyndon have the reluctance of bringing Misha back to Country A because of the situation left there.

"Thanks Ma." he said. He really can't do everything on his own.

"No need son. We are now a family and this is nothing. It's the least I can do for her." she said. Michele knew it better. It's the only thing she can do for not telling the whole truth.

Shane held her hand tightly. Now that Misha is regaining her consciousness, Michele will probably answer his questions.

Dr. Williams headed back to the hospital in country A. She also needed to make a report regarding Misha's case thus she left the small island after Lyndon called a chopper over.

Albert and Rodora headed back too. They have received different calls from each phones. Albert needed to go back because of an urgent meeting with his potential investors and Rodora for her upcoming charity event. Her assistant told her that there are things needed to be inspected by her personally.

Michele and Shane together with Lyndon and Misha are the ones left in the island. Shane planned that they will spend few days in the island together with Misha.

Michele is busy in the kitchen preparing their dinner while the two men were in the living room playing chess.

"I really can't win over you." Shane complained while laughing.

"It's not true Pa. You will win if you have taken me seriously." said Lyndon while putting away the chess board. "I'm no match of the old man. Until now, I can't win against him even just one match." he admitted bitterly.

Shane could only laugh at Lyndon's defeat from the old man.

Michele looked at them from the door amusingly.She's wearing a pink apron and a spatula on her hands. Her hair were tied in a ponytail. She actually looked cute on it.

Mich finished cooking their dinner. It's a full course Chinese meal. It even have side dishes and Chinese sweets. One of her favorites was the sweet and sour pork which made her learn to cook Chinese food.

Michele laid out the dishes as the two men settles themselves before her eagerly. Then, they dine silently.

After the dinner, Michele mustered her courage to speak. She wanted to tell them the truth and she hoped that it will not ruin anything.

"Say... I wanted to say something to you two. I know you have questions about Belle and me so I will tell it now." she inhaled a mouthful of air and exhaled. Her hands won't stop shaking and Shane noticed it so he held her hands and pressed it hard while looking at her intently.

"We're listening." Lyndon said. He too have speculations but he didn't have the leisure to pry into her life out of respect to her as Misha's mother.

Shane also agreed as he nodded his head.

"You know, I went to China when I was around eighteen to find some luck. I tried to apply in different establishments after my tourist visa expired. I needed money so I tried to find work. Luckily, I was hired as a waitress in a pub. It was good experience for me too and later on, I met Billie Yang. He's the one who introduced me to a better workplace. He guided me and even taught me Mandarin." she bitterly smiled as she recalled her past with Billie.

"Something happened between us and I got pregnant. We had an agreement that after I will give birth to the baby, he will have to pay me a million yuan. Well, I fell inlove with him in the process so I changed my mind. He took care of me, provided my daily needs and even bought a house where I can call my own. He said to me that his family was rich but it did not piqued my interest as I want to have a family of our own. He basically grew up in streets after he was exiled by his father and grandfather. He's also a normal salary man. He said that after the baby born, he will take us to his grandfather and let them accept me and the baby. Maybe I have flown too high that I fell on the ground so hard." she smiled bitterly again and continued.

One night, Billie talked about his collapsed grandfather. He told me that the old man wanted him to come home and bring the child over with him. I was getting excited as he was telling me this but he said, he will not bring me along because it was his grandfather's request. They did not acknowledged me as his wife. Well, I was really not his wife. The very next morning, he left together with Belle and that was the last time I ever saw my daughter. I waited and waited in the apartment where we lived but they did not come home. So, I applied for work at Country A and continued my degree along the way. And that's when I met you." she glanced at Shane who's being silent all this while.

She smiled at the men in front of her. "So, did that answered your questions?" she asked. She wanted to stand up but her hand was gripped down by Shane so hard. He looked at her withred eyes.

Lyndon on the other hand did not know what to feel. Now that the Yang Empire has fallen and Belle is nowhere to be seen, what will he do now that he had learned the truth? How about Misha? What will he do from now on?

With his confused mind, he gulped down the tea he was holding then walked out from the dining room. He left his in-laws and went to Misha's room.
