The realization that this was a date kicked up her excitement by a notch, but Liz now found that she was also nervous.

'Ok. A date. It's actually just a name for a man and woman who meet because…they are interested in each other.'

'Interested to boink, yeah.'

'Hey! Mind your language! This isn't like that!'

'Yet. But mark my words, soon, it will be. And when it is, don't come begging to me to control yourself.'

'Are you my inner voice or are you a ghost, possessing me and using me for entertainment?'

'Bite me.'

After this very engaging and fruitful conversation with herself, Liz took a deep breath and walked out of her hotel room.

Of course, she couldn't help but look herself one last time in the mirror before she did so.

She was wearing a light pink see-through blouse with frilly collars, but she also long inners inside so that too much of her skin wouldn't be seen by everyone.

Along with this, she was also wearing skin-tight black pants.

This was one of the outfits which she really liked because it brought out a different side in her, but subtly.

For example, her breasts were more rounded and the shape was…enticing to see, unlike her usual professional dresses which left everything up to imagination.

Also, there was a little emphasis to her bottom which went a long way to let anyone watching know that she had a perfect figure, all without seeming too crass.

She had also slightly curled her hair, and it was now arranged in the front on one shoulder in just the way she liked.

All in all, Liz loved the way she looked.

She wasn't someone who usually placed too much emphasis on looks, but this was an exception.

Smiling at herself, she made her way out and descended on the lift.

She felt skittish, constantly shifting her weight from one foot to another while biting her lip then stopping herself from doing so, because she would ruin the light lip gloss she was wearing.

'Hey, have you gone back to high school? Going to meet your crush?'

'SHUT UP!'

Thankfully, the doors of the lift opened at this point, driving all other thoughts away from her head.

This was because there was actually a red carpet waiting for her, with rose petals on it.

A.Red. Fricking. Carpet.

With. Fricking. Rose. Petals.

What was this, a wedding?

Liz wondered whether she had gotten off on the wrong floor, but looking up, she realized that this wasn't the case.

There stood the CEO, holding a bouquet of some of the most exquisite flowers she had ever seen.

He had that trademark small smile on his face, but as always, it didn't seem to reach his eyes.

However, as Liz froze in her spot and observed, she could swear that it was at least a tiny bit wider than usual.

He was wearing a blue checked suit that emphasized his own athletic build and broad shoulders, and as he saw her look bewildered, he actually looked down.

Seeing this, Liz wondered the man was…embarrassed?

Then, she realized that she was the cause.

The man had gone to so much trouble, but she was actually overthinking things and going on side tracks that weren't important?

The truth was that it really was very, very sweet, and the only reason her mind had gone on a detour was that it was just a little too sweet.

Still, she loved it.

Someone had actually laid out a red carpet for her!

Breaking out into a beautiful, wide smile, Liz walked forward, ignoring all the looks from the few people in the lobby.

Hearing the sound of her heels, Will looked up.

Indeed, he had been wondering whether he had gone too overboard, as he had no experience at all with dating.

Both in business and in life, he always liked doing things his way.

However, this was one of the very few moments when he actually doubted himself.

Yet, seeing that gorgeous smile on Liz's face, that doubt left his mind.

No. Nothing was too overboard for this woman.

Will didn't know where this thought came from, but he held on to it.

As Liz neared the CEO, she also noticed that he looked better, now that she was reacting appropriately.

Handing over the bouquet, he said, "You look stunning."

Blushing at this, Liz tried to cover her face with the bouquet for a moment before giving up.

Yeap, she was acting like a high-school girl again, but she really couldn't help it.

"Th-thank you. Even you look really nice."

"I'm glad. Did you get the key?"

"Yes, but what's it for?"

"You'll find out soon. Do you have a fear of heights, by any chance?"

"Not at all! In fact, I love heights!"

As Liz said this, she bit her tongue.

'Get a hold of yourself! Don't weird him out!'

Thankfully, the CEO only chuckled a little at this and said, "That's great! Let's go."

Leading the way, he started walking towards the doors, where there was a limousine waiting.

Still holding the bouquet, Liz followed him.

However, she almost tripped on the steps that led outside, but she thankfully corrected herself before anyone noticed.

Hey, she wasn't perfect. She had no practice at all wearing heels, but she was only wearing them now because she loved the way they looked.

Of course, she wished that she could get out of them and wear some nice flat, comfortable shoes right now.

Putting aside that thought, Liz got into the limousine without any more mishaps.

Putting the bouquet to the side, she saw that the CEO was actually tapping his fingers, as if he was nervous.

She was about to say something, but he got a call at that moment, which he picked up and gestured '1 second' to her before speaking.

Hence, the limousine ride wasn't as romantic as the journey from the lift, but the consolation was that it was short.

After just 15 minutes, the limousine pulled over, and the CEO hung up.

"Do you have the key?", he asked, before opening the door and getting out.

Liz had been daydreaming, so she hadn't noticed that they had reached.

Hastily getting out, she was about to nod, but stopped as she was startled due to the sight in front of her.

There was a plane sitting on an empty tarmac, with a cockpit that could seat too.

And-one of the cockpits had a lock with the same ribbon as the key.

"Are you ready for flying a plane for the first time, Miss. Elizabeth?", came the voice beside her, startling her even more, as she finally realized what the key was for.
