Chapter 17 - Marriage

Itsumi picked up her dress and stepped on the stairs and went up. She immediately found her door.

Every other door was brown in colour, but only her door was in beige. Her favourite colour.

She lightly touched the door and felt the texture as she ċȧrėssed it , feeling the new paint on the door.

She gently pushed the door knob and opened the door slightly.

She poked her head in and looked around and she could immediately get the smell of new paint ,new furniture and a soft lavender scent.

She pushed the door to open it more and stepped inside the room.

The room was blue and beige with beautiful murals on the wall, hand painted by someone who knew what they were doing. The scene was of the stilt walkers that cruise down the Vancouver streets in the winter festival. The colours were like nothing else, vibrant, strong. No washed out blues and insipid baby colours with a hint of beige and black here and there . She walked up to the double silver , which she realised was giving out the soft lavender scent from inside. As she pushed open the doors, she realised it was a wardrobe. Filled with all new looking and extremely expensive clothings. Beautiful cords and close-knit sweaters.

There was an exquisite beaded peach pink gown that gleamed and outshone all the other clothes in the wardrobe.

There were racks of different types of shoes as she went deeper in.

Platform Heels, Pencil Heels, Wedge Heels, Peep Toes, whatever you say, There it was, sitting on the rack , peacefully waiting to be worn for the first time by its owner.

A pair of peach stilettos that would be a perfect match with the exquisitely designed beaded peach pink dress.

It looked like a beautiful sunset in a pink sky.

These dresses and shoes were brand new. She never owned them , and she hadn't gone shopping for any new clothes , even for her wedding dress, which was chosen by her father.

She ȧssumed it must have been Minamota Ai who would have gotten her Everything and filled her wardrobe.

She didn't even have the slightest hint that It was Jeng himself who had hand picked all these dresses according to Itsumi's liking. He had gotten Mitsa, Japan's most famous fashion designer , to design the authentic beaded peach pink gown and bought the matching pair of stilettos by Ishizaka, Tokyo's famous designer who was a specialist in shoes.

Itsumi sighed and got out of the wedding dress and put a pair of shorts and a t shirt.

She walked up and plopped on the bed and let the reality of everything happening in her life, sink in.

She pondered upon the time when Jeng said those words in the washroom.

" Didn't you loved me?"

He mistook me for someone else.' , She thought, blinking back the tears that were starting to form up in her eyes then.

' Dad... I'm so sorry for everything.. But I can't take it anymore... I..I... I'll.. have to ...b..break my promise.'
