Chapter 22 - A Close Call

He suddenly leaned down and kissed her sexy lips, which aroused a kitten-like moan from He Yueyu. Soon Duan Weiqi found that the emotions he had controlled for several days were suddenly ignited by her moan.

He hadn’t had sex with her for a long time because of his busy schedule.

He left her red lips with hot eyes and snared at her flushed cheek. Feeling his distance, He Yueyu opened her eyes slowly, but was startled by the obviously possessive look in his eyes.

Her face turned redder, and she didn’t know what to say but murmured, “Emm… I bought you some Chinese tonics, would you like to try a bit?”

He grinned and suddenly carried her with his arms, striding towards the bedroom.

She had planned to call and ask Aunt Mei about what kind of tonic was best for him, but unexpectedly she heard the news that Aunt Mei was hospitalized.

Since she was a child, her parents had been busy with business and flied between various countries all year round, so she was almost brought up by Aunt Mei. As soon as she knew it, she decided to see Aunt Mei and take care of her in the hospital.

Not long after arriving at the company, she asked Duan Weiqi for a two-hour leave. She went to the fruit store personally to buy two bags of expensive fruit and then rushed to the hospital.

Anyway, Aunt Mei loved her most since she was young, so she believed Aunt Mei would never tell others her whereabouts as long as she begged her with her lovely smile.

Aunt Mei was still asleep when she found her ward, so she walked gingerly into the ward and placed the fruit on the table carefully.

She sat quietly beside the bed looking closely at Aunt Mei, who was now around sixty years old. She found the hairs at her temples had been silver slightly. When she was a kid, her parents rarely took time to play with her. Without Aunt Mei’s considerate care, she and her three brothers would definitely lack the warmth of family.

She gently held Aunt Mei’s withered hand and tried to tuck her in, but the door of the ward was pushed open again all of a sudden. A slender handsome man walked in also with two sacks of fruit.

When He Yueyu and the man faced each other, they were stunned at the same time!

“Xiaoran?”

She was shocked at the moment but when she saw his brother was going to ask her about this situation, she hurriedly stood up and confessed, “I think I can explain …”

Ling Xiaoran frowned and glanced at Aunt Mei for a second. Then he put down the fruit and pulled her out of the ward by her wrist.

He Yueyu was dragged along all the way by his brother and she knew that she was dead this time. She tried hard to hide from her brothers, so she picked the time when they were at work to visit Aunt Mei.

However, to her surprise, Ling Xiaoran did not follow his routine but choose to come here right now. Gosh!

Before she finished the groan in her mind, Ling Xiaoran forced her against the wall with a kabe-don.

“I think now you can explain why,” he stared at her questioningly, “a girl who is supposed to be abroad now, suddenly appears here?”

He Yueyu blinked her smart big eyes and forced a smile, “Eh…You know this is just…”

“You’d better tell me the truth!” Ling Xiaoran knew the personality of his little sister too well.

Tell the truth? She muttered silently. If she told him she was living with a man at the moment, she would be definitely punished with no mercy.

When I called you last time, I was indeed traveling abroad with my friends. Then, in order to make up for his loss, she lied to him and moved to Duan Weiqi’s house. She knew that these couldn’t be known to her family. Otherwise, she could not imagine what miserable thing was waiting for her.

She determined today was not a good chance to confess everything.
