Chapter 20 - Don’t Lie to Me

“Mr. Luo, keep an eye on He Yueyu’s computer. No one is allowed to touch it until the police come to collect fingerprints!” Duan Weiqi said.

His ruthlessness frightened everyone that a dead silence soon pervaded in the room.

He Yueyu had never seen such a stern Duan Weiqi. She didn’t expect that he would issue such a merciless order for her…

When she was still lost in thought, she felt her wrist was firmly held by a strong force. The next second, she was pulled into the office by Duan Weiqi in front of everyone.

As soon as the door was closed, she was locked in a tight embrace with strong arms.

“SORRY! I apologize for my misjudgment…”

“Weiqi …”

“Shh…” He gently put his index finger on her cute little mouth and his scorching eyes could almost burn everything.

“Wrong is wrong. I should be responsible for my fault…”

“Silly.” He Yueyu grinned when she found he was so serious, “I won’t blame you, but…”

She suddenly pouted, “You looked really fierce when you scolded me…”

He ruffled her hair with love, “Sorry, I’ll never do that again. ”

“Stop it, you have spoiled me.” She happily buried her small face in his chest, “But Weiqi, do you really want the police to deal with what Jin Moli has done?”

Suddenly, something malicious sparked in his eyes, “She deserves it. She made her bed, let her lie in it.”

He Yueyu walked into tea room with her mug and brew herself a cup of instant coffee. She still could not believe that Duan Weiqi, who was such an easy-going person in general, would determine to send Jin Moli to police station.

To some extent, he was really unmerciful. After all, Jin Moli framed her only because of him.

But Jin Moli was too insane to win any sympathy. What a foul action she had done!

Though her dad was one of the shareholders of Jinfeng Bank, he was also ruthlessly driven away by Duan Weiqi a couple of days ago because he tried to make a scene in Duan Weiqi’s office to defend his daughter.

Duan Weiqi made a brutal decision, with no quarter given.

She sighed and drank the light brown liquid in the mug. Even if it was instant coffee, she drank it with relish.

Just then, she glimpsed the electronic clock on the wall and the date above showed today was Thursday.

She smacked her forehead for her carelessness. When she came out of the house, she promised her three brothers that she would call back to ensure them everything was all right every Thursday. She must have been too indulged in her little happiness recently that she totally forgot it.

In order to convince her three brothers, firstly she dialed the phone to a friend abroad, and then transferred it to Ling Xiaoran. Thanks to information technology, her falsehood was still undiscovered.

Thinking of this, she hurriedly took out her mobile phone and dialed a number quickly.

“Hello, my dear Xiaoran, it’s me.” Her sweet voice passed through the line.

Ling Xiaoran’s magnetic voice sounded immediately, “Yueyu, why don’t you go home?”

“I’m in Milan right now. There are several fashion shows held here, so I don’t want to go home yet. I want to buy more clothes!” She lied without having second thoughts.

Ling Xiaoran soon went unpleasant, “Yueyu, you have left home  for two months…”

“Xiaoran,” He Yueyu began to throw a tantrum, “It’s a rare chance for me to have some fun abroad, and I have called back to report everything to you. No matter how long it has been, I want to wander about for another few days.”

“Yueyu …” Ling Xiaoran’s voice was a little impatient.

” …mom and dad passed away too early, and no one cares about me since then. I never had freedom before. This time I finally get the chance to do whatever I want freely, but you are going to forbid me…” He Yueyu pretended she was crying.

“You know I love you the most…” As long as Ling Xiaoran heard the cry of her baby sister, his head began to hurt.

Feeling Ling Xiaoran was a little hesitant, He Yueyu hurriedly stopped her fake crying and continued, “I know, my dear brother, I also love you the most. I promise, when you have your birthday party, I will definitely be there to celebrate it with you! ”

“Please, my birthday is three months later. I only give you one more week. If you don’ t go home next week, I will…” Ling Xiaoran was interrupted by He Yueyu.

“Next Monday is the birthday of Weiran. I just ignore his birthday but only celebrate for yours, so you can see your uniqueness in my heart, right? Please…”

“You are really good at pissing me off.” Ling Xiao sighed helplessly, “Well, you can travel abroad for another few days, but it can’t be three months. Listen, only one more month for you. If you don’t come back after a month, I will send bodyguards to take you back! ”

“OK!” Although she promised Ling Xiaoran, she still had her own  secret plan. Anyway, one month later she would find another excuse to postpone the time to go home.

It was hard for her to get away from her brothers and to do what she wanted, so she was not that stupid to go home being a cageling again. In fact, Weiqi was more tender to her.

“I know you love me the most, and I love you the most, too. Goodbye my dear young master…” He Yueyu kissed her phone loudly and then hung it up. She snickered in silence for what she had achieved.

She did not expect that Ling Xiaoran would be fooled by her, which proved that how superb her acting skills were. Maybe one day she could be an actress or director.

“Who were you calling?” Suddenly, Duan Weiqi’s ruthless voice came behind her.

She turned around with a rush, and saw Duan Weiqi standing in the doorway of the tea room with a stony face. She could not find anything warm in his eyes.

He Yueyu was frightened by his appearance and gasped. Then she patted her chest and stuck out her tongue, complaining, “Why did you walk without any sound? You really scared me.”

From Duan Weiqi’s view, her frightened look was just an evidence that she had done something wrong, so his face was even colder.

He Yueyu didn’t think much about his attitude. She thought he looked cold just because he was annoyed by the incident caused by Jin Moli which brought problems to his company. She replied quickly, “It’s my brother!”

When they first met, she concealed her identity from him because she was afraid he would tell her brother about the car crash. But since he had disclosed the romantic relationship between them in the company, she thought it was a chance for her to tell him everything. She could no longer conceal him her identity.

“Your brother?” The coldness in Duan Weiqi’s eyes dropped ten more degrees.

Duan Weiqi could not accept that she lied to him, and she was still lying to him even now. The conversation between them just gnawed at him like a knife.

She dared to tell another man that she loved him. No one would know that when he just heard she said she loved other people most on her phone, he almost wanted to appear before that man and tear him off into pieces.

“Young master…” He lifted his thin lips and spoke this title, “Is that Ling Xiaoran?”

This title really suited a man who was just as proud as him.

“Eh?” He Yueyu’s eyes widened in surprise and filled with incredible sparkles, “Weiqi, you are so amazing, you even know my elder brother’s name is Ling Xiaoran…”

“Enough! Yueyu, stop lying to me.” He looked at her innocent little face bitterly.

He couldn’t believe it. The girl he fell in love had tons of lies.

She deceived him that Ling Xiaoran was her elder brother, but he and Ling Xiaoran had been in the same university for so many years and also met each other for business, so he knew Ling family only had three men for this generation.

No one had told him that Ling Xiaoran had a younger sister, and the information given by private investigator also proved it.

If she was really the sister of Ling Xiaoran, how his private investigator could not find out any information about her? Besides, Ling Xiaoran’s surname was Ling, but hers was He.

“Me? Lie? What did I lie about?” He Yueyu pointed her finger to the tip of her little nose, and then looked at Duan Weiqi who was still cold and distant.

“Weiqi, what happened? Have you been too tired recently and feel uncomfortable?” Otherwise, how could he suddenly lose his temper?
