Chapter 18 - A Dirty Shame

Yueyu thought she was too stupid to do housework since she never managed to make a decent breakfast. Although she nominally was the maid of Duan Weiqi, it was he who cooked for her every morning.

To leave a good impression on him, she decided to learn to do the household chores well, but failed at the first breakfast.

Breakfast with love? Not knowing whether he should laugh or cry, Duan Weiqi shook his head. He carried her in his arms to his bedroom, found out the medical kit, and applied liquid medicine on her injured hands.

He found that the medical kit was used more often since she appeared in his life. It hadn’t been used in the past several years, but most frequently these days.

“You’d better stay away from the kitchen from now on. If you are found in the kitchen again, I don’t mind reminding you of my warning through violence.”

He was threatening her, but his action of applying the liquid medicine was extremely gentle.

He Yueyu naturally pursed her lips, “I just wanted to create a romantic atmosphere, just like what’s played in those film. After having sex for the first time, the virtuous girl would wear her lover’s shirt and cook breakfast with love for him… ”

Then she pulled the big shirt on her body, “You have no idea how monotonous the shirts in your wardrobe are. All of them are white or black, I finally got this strip shirt at the corner.”

While talking, she waggled her legs that were as fair as white jade. This unconscious action made Duan Weiqi’s blood boil. He didn’t find this woman was a real idiot until now because her mind was filled with those unrealistic things and she even tried to follow those tacky examples in films.

It was not a surprise that the seducive gestures she tried hard to made were all learned from films.

How silly she was!

“Weiqi…” She suddenly called his name.

“Eh?” He finished applying the liquid medicine, then pasted band-aid on her hands.

“Well…” She licked her lips, “Wouldn’t you say something to me?”

“About what?” He looked up to her in half squat.

“Eh… about…” She blushed faintly, “in the film, the man would say something important to the girl after they slept together…”

“Oh?” Duan Weiqi pretended to frown even though he had understood her meaning, “Something important?”

“It was…” She lightly coughed, “… you know what I mean…”

Looking at his confused expression, He Yueyu gritted his teeth in embarrassment, “Do you… love me?”

“This question is…” He was deliberately teasing her.

“Forget it, just pretend I did not ask!” She suddenly twitched his mouth, “I remember you planned to make a proposal to Jin Moli…”

She jumped off his bed and ran away in anger. Asking such a questionmade her feel shameful and awkward.

“Oh…”

When she ran to the door, she was stopped by a brute force suddenly. Next, she was hugged and kissed gently by Duan Weiqi while she was stunned.

She widened her eyes incredulously, confused by his action of kissing her.

He did not answer her question, but directly kissed her in an overbearing and crazy way. She felt almost melted by his kiss as if her body was flying over the clouds. At the moment, all things around her seemed to vanish, and her brain quit running at all.

Without knowing how long it had been, he slowly stopped kissing her. She blankly opened her big eyes and saw a handsome face with a teasing look in his eyes.

“That’s the answer, got it?” His magnetic voice fascinated her.

“What… what answer?” She completely got confused.

He pinched her little face gently, “The line a man was supposed to say in your films.”

“But…”

Thrilled by the sudden happiness, she would like to jump with joy, but she restrained herself at last, “Didn’t you plan to make a proposal to Jin Moli?” She gave him a piquant expression.

“Silly, Jin Moli is equal to a stranger in my mind, and…”

He held her chin in a manly manner, “From now on, remember your identity. You, He Yueyu, are mine, clear?”

After finishing declaring his proprietorship, he kissed her again, leading them to another romantic journey.

He Yueyu dressed herself as the boss lady she saw in TV series, wearing a powder-blue suit, with her long hair put in a bun through a silver hairpin inlaid with a diamond as soft and smooth as a piece of silk, and a pair of sophisticated diamond earrings in her pink round ears.

With light makeup on her perfect face, she wore a water ripple shaped hairline necklace with a small dolphin pedant round her fair neck. Special crystal gloss shone from the pedant.

She sat at the desk and stroke the keyboard intently. Thanked to the good habit of chatting with girlfriends on line when she was bored, she typed fast.

She sat opposite to Jin Moli and she could feel the hostile look in Jin Moli’s eyes now and then, but she did not care. Duan Weiqi just regarded Jin Moli as her subordinate, so she needed not to be jealous.

Besides, she set an objective for herself, which was to make great achievements in Jinfeng Bank. She wanted to prove her capability as well as show Duan Weiqi that the girl he fell in love with was not just a spendthrift and only cares about all kinds of entertainment.

She made a detailed check on the contract from the beginning to the end after finishing inputting the last character. The contract would be signed at the conference held in the afternoon, which was not allowed to have any mistake.

After a while, she confirmed the contract and pressed printing button with a click of the mouse. Then the printer started working.

She stretched herself with a sense of achievement. She really liked her work and life now, which was much better than going shopping in the past. She had been bored with that.

The printer worked efficiently, which finished the printing a few moments later. While humming a song in a low voice, she put the document in a dark-blue file folder.

At the moment, the door of chief executive’s office opened, and Duan Weiqi walked out. With a tender smile on the handsome face, he came to the desk of He Yueyu, “It’s close to 12 o’clock, let’s go have lunch together.”

“Okay.” After putting things on the desk in order in a bustle and taking her brand-name bag out of the little cabinet under the desk, He Yueyu pleasantly stood up, walked to him and held his arm in an intimate way.

Duan Weiqi walked towards the elevator with her, and asked, “Everything okay? Are you adapted to your work?”

After spending more time with her, he found more of her advantages, such as the ability of speaking eight languages besides her knowledge about stock.

Last week, the German translator of his company suddenly fell ill. It was her who helped translate the urgent German document so as to avoid from delaying a big business.

Although she was a little harum-scarum sometimes, she would consult with an open mind when she encountered problems she did not understand. She also was very popular in the company. All the staff got on well with her.

She had made a lot of friends soon after she joined the company. When he walked with her, colleagues saying hello to her were more than those greeting him. It made him have a completely new appraisal of her.

“Yep, nothing could beat me, I’m He Yueyu.” He Yueyu boasted proudly.
