Chapter 16 - Seduction

“Ok, you take charge of the investment project about Japanese Dayu Company on behalf of me. Remember to return before I hold the stockholders’ meeting at the beginning of next month.”

“Trust me, Mr. Duan. I’ll make it well done.”

At the other end of the call, Feng Yu hung up after reporting to Duan Weiqi calmly.

Shinning stars in the dark sky looked like luxurious diamonds inlaid in a bolt of black silk fabrics. The round moon hung in the sky, giving off soft lights.

Sitting on the bench in the rooftop with his legs crossed, Duan Weiqi slowly put his mobile phone back into his pockets. When he was about to go downstairs to the living room, he saw He Yueyu laboriously carrying an astronomical telescope and unhandily walking toward the balcony.

He raised eyebrows, wondering what on earth she was doing. The astronomical telescope was originally placed in the small storeroom by him many years ago.

He Yueyu was dressed in a baggy T-shirt, with two fair legs exposed and lustering in the moonlight. She loosely gathered her long hair into a bun, leaving several hairs hanging on her beautiful forehead.

After putting the telescope on the rooftop, she had panted with efforts. Obviously, she was tired out.

Then, she carefully studied the telescope as though she did not notice him, or he did not exist at all. Her ignorance of him made him less confident in his male charm.

Anyway, he was a man with the height of seven feet, who would get special attentions in any place.

However, this young lady treated him like air. Was he invisible?

Following the direction of her sight, Duan Weiqi coldly gazed at the remote night sky.

The moon was beautiful tonight. With a breeze blowing over the swimming pool, water slightly waved and caused the reflection of the moon in the water to slightly wobble, forming countless small bright spots.

Such a night always correlated with romance.

At a short distance, He Yueyu bent over, uplift her hips, and observed the moon with the telescope carefully. She twisted her body to different directions for observation, which arouse Duan Weiqi’s desire of taking her in his arms and kissing her.

Duan Weiqi quietly stood up and approached her, “What are you watching?”

The sudden voice made He Yueyu almost fall. When she turned around in panic and found him, she patted her chest in a state of shock.

“Wow, what brings you here?”

She lightly opened her little mouth, feeling the heart beating fast. Duan Weiqi, dressed in black silk nightclothes, with flowing hair, looked charming in the night.

Under the night sky, he was like a Prince Charming with overwhelming evil force, fascinating her.

Feeling both funny and angry, Duan weiqi shrugged, “This is my house. I can go wherever I want.”

He raised his chin to the astronomical telescope, “Observed something?”

“O… of course.” She quickly came back to her sense and wondered he certainly would laugh at her if he knew her heart beat fast every time she saw him.

“Astronomical report said tonight’s moon is the roundest and biggest one since the past 70 years. So I want to enjoy it and see if I can find Chang’e holding a rabbit on it (TN: Chang’e is the Chinese goddess of the Moon married to Houyi the archer, and she flies to the moon and lives there with a rabbit after eating an elixir of life).”

She giggled, then continued to observe the telescope.

Seeing her face full of zest, Duan Weiqi shook his head and gave a wry smile, “Is there anyone believing Chang’e exist in modern time?”

“You’re really not romantic!” She frowned and wrinkled her nose, “You’d better be more imaginative once in a while.”

“All right.” He put one of his hand on her little shoulder, “Let me see whether Chang’e wanders with her little rabbit tonight.”

Then Duan Weiqi bent over and looked through the telescope, “The moon is really round and big, but I did not find Chang’e.”

“That is because you are stupid!” He Yueyu pushed him away, “Step aside, let me have a look… ”

“But this telescope is mine.”

“So what? It was me who carried it out laboriously.” She said bossily.

“Eh, Missy. Don’t forget this is my house, not yours.”

Duan Weiqi thought her behavior was childish, but also was confused about the childish behavior of himself.

“Duan Weiqi…”

She suddenly turned to Duan Weiqi and rested the arms on her slim waist, “How come you displayed your identity as my boss every hour and moment?”

“Am I not your boss?” He intentionally frowned to irritate her, “Remember, you are getting salaries from my pocket.”

“The way both of you treated subordinates is so harsh, and unacceptable.” She felt uncomfortable as long as she thought of being reprimanded by him in public.

“Oh, so it is.” He rubbed his chin in an irritating manner and nodded, “You mean things of one kind come together, right? In this way, Jin Moli and I are supposed to be a perfect couple.”

He Yueyu glanced at him angrily, “Should I wish you happiness in your marriage?”

“Thanks!” He shrugged in a cynical way, “For the sake of your empressement, I will consider making a proposal to Moli tomorrow.”

His words made He Yueyu’s face turn worse, “Yueyu, are you okay? Your face look sullen, anything wrong?”

She plaintively stared at him, then pushed the telescope aside in anger, “The moon sucks tonight. I’m a little sleepy now. Mr. Duan, you could stay alone on the balcony, thinking about how to sweet talk Jin Moli into accepting your proposal.”

Finishing talking, she turned around and left. But Duan Weiqi suddenly grabbed her wrist, with eyes smiling and lips curled, “How ruthless you are! Will you leave your boss alone to bear the chilly wind at night?”

“Yep, you’d better stay here to practice the speech for tomorrow’s proposal.”

“Are you being jealousy?”

“Of course not.” He Yueyu was utterly discomfited and tried to get rid of his hand, but he did not let her go as if he intentionally opposed her, “Mr. Duan, I suggest you to see a psychiatrist because you are having an illusion.”

“All right, I think I will follow your kindly suggestion… ”

And all of a sudden, he took her into his arms, with one of his hands tightly holding her slim waist and his head slightly lowering. Looking at her widened eyes filled with anger, he thought she was gorgeous.

His gaze made He Yueyu’s heart beat faster and eyes lose focus. She licked her dry lips subconsciously, which became an extreme seduction to Duan Weiqi.

“What… what do you want to do?”

At the moment, some romantic footage emerged in Yueyu’s mind. It was common that romance happened at a night in the beautiful moonlight.

Holding her little chin with another hand, his handsome face slowly approached her, “Guess, maybe… ”

He smiled like a devil, “We should do some things that adults do… ”

He gently put a wet and soft kiss on her forehead.

“Ad… adult?” Her heart beat even faster, “Aa… are you saying… ”
