Chapter 194: Molten Mansion. 2012 CE

[A couple minutes earlier]

[Pluto’s POV]

Pluto was hovering just right outside of a small mansion in Florida, looking for a sign of life in there. The mansion looked empty, but with his haunting violet eyes, he could see that there were a couple movements underground, three sleeping on the same bed, two women, one man, three inside a bunker, one as a guard just behind the entrance door.

“What should I do…” Pluto murmured to himself, thinking about the options on how to approach this. For a couple he just hovered in the air, staring at the mansion intently, as if trying to burn the house with just his stare.

But then, he snapped his finger, and a bident suddenly appeared beside him, glowing orange like it just got out of the smithy.

“You know what, let’s do it politely this time.” he said to himself again.

“Really?” a voice inside his head commented, it was Hypnos. “I have seen your memories, ‘politely’ is not in your vocabulary.”

“Well I’m always looking forward to a new experience.” Pluto chuckled, before gliding down to the ground below, Persephone still floating beside him.

He casually walked to the big door of the mansion, knocking it politely.

He waited.

No answer.

He knocked again, and waited.

No answer again.

“Well I guess there’s the ‘doing this politely’ plan.” Pluto murmured, before kicking the door open with sheer brute force.

“Hey! Who are you!” that one guard he noticed that was guarding the upper floor quickly noticed the door getting destroyed and instantly rushed to the scene. He pointed his glock at Pluto and tried to be as menacing as possible. “What the hell are you doing?!”

Pluto glanced at the guard lazily and waved his hand, and before you know it, Persephone shot through the air, before impaling the guard to the wall.

“What the hell?!” the guard grunted, he didn’t die unfortunately.

“Of course, Extremis.” Pluto slowly walked towards the impaled guard, who was trying to shoot him, but the bullet can’t even penetrate Pluto’s skin. The Eternal then gently held Persephone, before saying. “Let’s see, what’s more hot, my bident, or your virus.”

The bident then quickly glowed orange, the smell of cooked meat quickly entered Pluto’s nostril, and the guard screamed as his flesh tried to ‘heal’ the damage, but it was beaten by the heat of Persephone.

“AHHHH!!! STOPP!!!!” The guard screamed like a madman, trying to pull out the bident from his body, but when he touched the handle of the bident, it too was hot, and it burned his hand.

“That surely will attract attention…” Pluto murmured, he looked around and saw a CCTV in the corner. “Ah, there you are, Killian, I suggest that you get to the ground floor right now, or I’ll bury you alive.”

Of course, there wasn't any answer, so Pluto focused back on the guard that was nailed to the wall. Pluto just quickly pulled the bident from his body, and it made the man drop to the floor, his body laying against the wall.

But before the man could say anything again, Pluto thrust the bident through the man’s head, killing him instantly.

Without a care in the world, Pluto kept walking to the underground stair, Persephone following him. He looked around the place, it was a well decorated place, he recognized some of the architecture style of the building, a mix between mediterranean and american suburb style, he thought of buying this place after all this debacle, but he quickly scrapped that idea.

As he arrived at the stair, he just stood there at the head of the stair, waiting for someone to come up. He waited for about 5 minutes, but no one came.

He just sighed as he got tired of waiting, before leaping roughly, penetrating the ceiling above him. He now was hovering above the mansion once again, the warm wind of Florida hitting his face mildly.

“Well, you asked for it.” Pluto said to himself. He grabbed Persephone, and threw her to the mansion, nailing her deep underground.

Pluto then raised his hand, he made a choking gesture, and suddenly, a man appeared, his neck grabbed by Pluto's fingers.

“Ah, the man of the hour.” Pluto smiled warmly at the man that was choking because of his grip.

“B-Bastard!” Killian cursed, his hands heating up, trying to hurt Pluto by burning his hand.

“You think that’ll work?” Pluto casually asked. “Try it, see if you can do it.”

“W-Who the hell a-are you?” Killian questioned with anger. His face was heating up tremendously.

“What? You’re targeting my son and don’t even recognize my face?” Pluto looked at Killian weirdly. “Are you daft or just horrible at planning?”

“You!” Killian kept struggling to break free from his grip, but Pluto just chuckled.

“Oh I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” he said. “Look below, what do you see?”

Killian didn’t do anything, he only kept struggling. It was only when he ‘accidentally’ saw what’s below that his eyes widened.

Below, he could only see red. His mansion was slowly melting into hot lava, slowly calming down as the mansion kept melting.

“Your research is below there.” Pluto commented cheekily. “All the mandarin things too.”

Killian’s body just kept getting hotter and hotter, before finally, he opened his mouth, spewing fire from his mouth, hitting Pluto’s face directly.

As the breath finished, Pluto wasn’t damaged at all, in fact, he had a cold face, staring right into Killian’s soul.

“That is utterly disgusting.” said Pluto, clenching Killian’s neck slightly harder. “You are pathetic, no one will remember your name, you ruined your life because of envy, because of spite, because of your hubris.”

Killian just spat. “Fuck you.”

“I would say farewell, but it will not be sincere.”

Pluto then released the grip, letting Killian dove right into the pool of lava. Screams of agony could be heard echoing for a couple of seconds, before vanishing as Killian was swallowed by the lava.

Pluto just sighed. He retracted Persephone from the ground and let the lava sit there. Then, he turned around, only to see far from the distance that there was a crowd, watching him and the pool of lava rather curiously.

Pluto was about to walk away from the scene, but a phone call suddenly interrupted him.

“Yes?” Pluto said as he picked up the phone.

It was Cleo. “Father, what’s your plan on dealing with this? Because mother’s and Theo’s face is all over the news right now…”

“What did they do?”

“Well… they… slaughtered them… in front of everyone…” Cleo said nervously. “And the Department of Defence is calling the office right now, demanding an explanation on how a ‘weapon-free’ company has a demigod for an heir…”

“Well, I guess that is to be expected…” Pluto hummed. “I’ll be going now, don’t worry, no one will remember anything after tonight.”

Pluto hangs up the phone, he then sends Thena and Helios a message through his mind on the meeting place, before blasting off from the place, leaving a pool of lava sitting in the middle of a rich neighbourhood…
