60 First Instructions

Yu Qiao chuckled, before speaking, "Father, you are already drunk." He then got the bottle of rum next to Yu Han before chugging from it directly.

"Hmm. It is just a question. I also trust that if that happens, you are there to save the company." Yu Han replied his open as he looked at Yu Qiao boredom, but still have his head leaning on the counter top.

"Of course. I will do everything I can to help. The question is just absurd." Yu Qiao dismissed the question, as he cannot just believe that his father's hard work is all for nothing.

If they would really lose everything, then what is the point of all his father's efforts? That is just impossible.

"Why do you think it is absurd? You will never know what tomorrow will bring. As a businessman, you should always plan for the worse." Yu Han noted after he sat properly and look at Yu Qiao with seriousness. So serious that made the other felt uncomfortable.

Yu Qiao brows wrinkled with concern, "Is everything alright?" he then asked.

"We are getting evicted of the house due to bankruptcy." Yu Han replied nonchalantly.

"What?!" He shouted with disbelief as he stood up abruptly. "What happened?" Yu Qiao almost dropped the bottle of rum that he is holding.

He shook his head before lowering it down, Yu Han did not answer that made Yu Qiao feel stressed and almost devastated. 'How can this be?' He asked himself.

Yu Qiao can still remember how his father and godfather's work hard to get their company back on track. Was that all for nothing?

He then saw his father's shoulders, shook, Yu Han's hands on his lap clenched tightly like he is trying his best to suppress his emotions.

"Father. We can still do something right? I would like to help. It may not be much but still, I want to do something..." Yu Qiao offered gravely. Even though he can graduate with good grades, he also understands that the experience is more important when one is facing the real world of business.

Yu Han then raised his head and stared to Yu Qiao with a pained expression, before he laughed so hard to the point of stomach pain.

"Father!" Yu Qiao's face turned black with annoyance. "Why are you making fun of me?! That is a bad joke!"

"Hahaha! You should have seen your face! It was all scared and worried!" Yu Han continued to laugh making Yu Qiao further irritated.

"Tsk. Drunk. You should rest now since you already had your fun." Yu Qiao uttered but Yu Han still continued to laugh.

After he wipe the tears on his eyes due to the laughter, he said, "That was hilarious! Glad to know you are a responsible son!" Yu Han smiled brightly, eyes still looking at Yu Qiao with amusement.

"Of course. Stop drinking now and rest." Yu Qiao repeated as it is seldom Yu Han go home early. Though the question he got from his father is just a joke, there is nothing impossible.

For Yu Qiao, it is probably just cautious words before he steps into the adult world, which is going to be very soon.

Yu Qiao then stood up and left the bar when Yu Han nodded slightly, before waving a hand dismiss him.

"You sure about all this?" Mo Lihua asked again, unsure how many times she had questioned Piore with his first instruction.

Mo Lihua is confused as Piore knows that she always did her best to not attract attention. She always dealt with it by acting nerdy and tomboy, which he does not approve.

"Too many questions," Piore replied impatiently, his brows twitching due to annoyance.

'What? I am bothersome now? Then go back ah!' Her inner thoughts that she cannot just voice out. Piore, after all, is still her guardian.

If she did not win the selection but got out of it alive, that is good. At least as far as she remembers, guardians main responsibility is still to keep the candidate alive.
