Chapter 40 - Exploiting Resources

After Frozen Cloud Fairies joined my group, we started exploring the place, with all the snow in the way, finding herb would be hard...

But, I have my cheat formation to help with that, it was another thing which impressed the group of fairies which joined us.

"This is impressive Master Jian! how does it even work?" The older Fairy by name Shui Wushuang asked me with interest, as she was standing next to me and she was looking at the rolled-out map in my hands.

"Well, in simple terms it will be that I used three small formations, which are working together, one is scanning the land, through Profound energy, another one is absorbing Profound energy from land and air to expand, and third is sending back this information to me..." Her eyes grew bigger and bigger, the more I explained the more she had that Fen Juechen look...

While she is more the serious type of girl, which I bypassed with a simple conversation, the other girl by name Wu Xuexin, is more of the shy type which she is hiding under her Frozen Cloud Fairy aloft exterior.

"This is incredible... No wonder Senior Master Chu agreed to your proposal..." Cang Yue hearing that only 'Humph' and said something about 'of course she did!'

I only chuckled hearing that, and continue walking with map in hands, while same time told the girl to collect any stuff with Profound energy Inside of it.

We continued doing that until we stumbled upon...

As it was through the whole map in my hand turned blue flame-like...

Everywhere I saw on the map was Profound energy.

"What....in hell is this thing!!!" I said loudly enough to attract everyone attention.

"What is it, Master Jian!?" Fairy Shui asked, as she was one of the closest at that time, moments later everyone was around me.

"Look... and tell me what you think?" I showed the map to the girls...

"...It's like we standing on some sort of concentration of Profound energy..." My lovely Qingyue said first.

I nodded at her and gave her the map for a moment, then I got on one knee and I put my hand on the ground.

With a simple Profound energy shockwave, I learned what it was...

'A Profound beast of a Tyrant Profound... It's a good thing it's in hibernation right now...' Ying'er said with a little bit relief.

'Indeed...' As I said that, I continued sensing the beast, and then I noticed something weird... it has some sort of connection running to the surface...

"What did you sensed dear?" Cang Yue asked me.

"Well it's a Hibernating Tyrant Profound beast..." The Frozen Cloud Fairies gasped loudly dropping that indifferent face they usually try to have.

"What you going to do?"

I got back up my feet, and for a second I had internal battle what to do...

"We shall see, first we going to find to what that massive beast is connected to here on the surface..." I moved forward.

Shui Wushuang and Wu Xuexin looked at me and Cang Yue as if we are insane.

"W-wait! don't you realised that it's a Tyrant Profound Beast!?, Something Like this is unheard of! and you simply ignoring much massive danger! We literally walking on top of it!" The girl dropped her cool and said loudly.

"Nothing ventured nothing gain Fairy Shui, You will be forever average if you not going to risk yourself..." I told her in an indifferent tone... Fairies Shui and Wu flinched hearing that, only Qingyue quickly arrived next to me, as we continued walking deeper into this area.

Of course, only a few seconds later both girls eventually joined us back, only much more antsy and vigilant...

Walking around a hundred metres into this area, we finally founded to what this Profound Beast is connected to...

*LOUD WHISTLE*

"Girls...you both are far too stiff..." I shook my head as I walked towards...it.

'Master... your luck is quite something...' Ying'er said with little bit amazement, I internally nodded to her.

"...This is..." Qingyue looked at me with shock.

"Emperor Awakening Heart Lotus...A quite rare and powerful herb, A fast ticket to Emperor Profound realm..." Hearing my short explanation all the girl looked at the blue Lotus flower.

"W-What a treasure!" Fairy Shui said.

'Master with this you can reach Throne level with one go!' Ying'er said with her own greed radiating from her, I can only shake my head, the girl is turning greedy for me...

'Yes... it will help me to reach the Throne level, but you don't see the true value of this Ying'er...' She raised her elegant eyebrow at me

'How so?' she asked with interest.

'Just watch and learn my 'Goddess'...' I said with a smile, as I waved my hand at the blue lotus flower.

Next I pulled my notebook and opened an empty page on it, writing a set of Profound Runes, which slowly started to expand through the whole notebook page, slowly morphing into the image of the said Blue lotus flower.

"What are you doing?" Yue'er walked over to my side.

"Learning... this flower over here has enough pure refined Profound energy to pull a person's cultivation to Emperor Profound, Finding something like that is extremely rare..." I said to her as I observed the flower with my profound energy vision, how this thing compressed so much energy into such a small body is a wondrous sight to see!, it's like staring at 21 century smartphone, when you personally are from the '90s!

Cang Yue leaned forward and stared at the Notebook over my shoulder, she needed to stand of her tiptoes, other girls followed her example and they surrounded me...

"In very simple terms if I can learn a few simple secrets of this lotus Flower I could improve my normal pills by several levels, in fact, I could start making pills without even relying on Profound beast cores..." I said to them as I was studying the blue thing.

"...How so?" Qingyue asked with a curious expression.

"Well, for example, I could lay down a formation which follows this lotus flower profound energy absorption patterns, pumping herbs with lots of Profound energy, that alone will open many new paths for many more different pills, as herbs can evolve in different ways..." I finished saying that as full scan analysis was done and there was a full report on my notebook page.

Now that I have a full detailed analysis of this beautiful lotus flower which I wouldn't mind having in my herb garden... time to pluck it...

I stored my notebook back into my personal storage ring, the girls finally snapped out what they heard from me, Cang Yue reaction was most tamest, while the Frozen Cloud Fairies had another layer of fascination with me, it seems one before had such idea of studying cultivation resources, we'll I guess researching stuff is alien for people in this reality...

it was a perfect hollow copy, at least profound energy-wise...

Once I was done, I slowly walked over to the real deal, preparing a formation which will help to pluck the blue lotus without waking the beast up...

The Frozen Cloud fairies were watching me like hawks, while Cang Yue was watching like some theatre show is about to happen, she obviously has complete trust that I will succeed in this little mission.

My right hand was holding the lotus imitation for formation, it was emitting 'Emperor Profound' energy, I slowly lay down the formation which will intercept with the connect the beast has with the Lotus Flower.

Once it was down and operating, I double-checked making sure it's really working, only after running a few small test did I felt like it was time for the real deal.

I moved my left hand which has the pearl tattoo over the Lotus Flower and gently pluck it off, and stored inside the pearl.

For Girls, it looked like I stored it in a storage ring, since my both hands has a pair of rings just for such thing...

Once the flower was stored I quickly placed the cheap Profound Formation imitation in its place.

Connecting the beast 'roots' which worked like an alarm clock for the Tyrant Profound monster sleeping in the frozen lake.

"Well it's over... we have around ten hours before this bad boy wakes up, I suggest we move." Everyone quickly agreed with me, and we started dashing out from this place.

"So what's now?" Cang Yue asked me while we were running.

"First we shall leave this area, then I shall build a temporary base..." I stopped for a second, everyone followed what I did.

I quickly walked over to Cang Yue and place a small Formation, she raised her eyebrow at me, but for now, I ignored it, I did same for the other three girls.

"It's a Tyrant Profound Beast, who knows what kind of type it is, it can even have an incredible nose for all I know..." Cang Yue and rest of girls quickly understood what I meant, and looked grateful for the moment.

After I finished with these small preparations, we started dashing again.

After running away at least thirty kilometres from the frozen lake we stopped next to a small hill.

Once there I quickly raised both of my hands and unleashed my full capacities of formation deployment.

Half of an hour later we had a cave which is in livable condition.

"This is amazing Master Jian! it's even warm in here!" Frozen Cloud Fairies started exploring small cave.

Nothing fancy a few small rooms, to give some privacy, and one larger room which will operate like a living room.

After a small exploration moment, everyone was back to the biggest room.

"Right so this is how we going to deal with this, I going to use the lotus flower to reach Throne level, then I am going to kill off that thing..." I said with 100% certainty.

"Isn't it risky? even if you reach Emperor Profound, your cultivation base will be unstable, even then the Beast is massive and it's A Tyrant Profound..." Fairy Wu said with worry.

"Oh, you should worry about cultivation differences Fairy Wu..." I said with a smile towards her, she quickly looked away, finding the wall more interesting.

Cang Yue and Ying'er snickered at the same time, I can agree with them as these frozen ladies are very sheltered.

"Just watch and learn Frozen Cloud Fairies, I will show you how to hunt down a beast..." I said to them as quickly dropping in some simple furniture in this living room.

Few chairs and table, girls thanked me, while I entered into one empty room, quickly sealing myself in there, I started refining the Blue Lotus flower.

A few minutes later with the help of the pearl and few editing done with my own unique power, I had a pill which will help me leap into ranks of Blue Wind Empire's powerhouses... cultivation wise...

Popping the pill into my mouth like some sweet, I swallowed it quickly...

Moments later the pill landed in my stomach, it exploded with extreme amounts of pure...refined...energy...

Which immediately entered into my Profound Veins, flooding them with pure energy...

It didn't stop here as there was excess energy left.
