Chapter 25 - Meeting Ice Lady

After getting Fen Juechen 'under my wing', I continued laying down formations in core Palace, by end of the afternoon, the quality and density of Profound energy was on a completely different level, compared to before.

After I finished with the Profound Palace I decided to explore the Capital City, my destination is the Black Moon Merchant Guild, Blue Wind Capital City has the biggest Branch store in this nation, meaning that if it's not in this shop, it's nowhere else in Blue Wind, and you have to order it to be brought from abroad.

Once arrived at the Merchant Guild's branch shop, it was nothing like the one in New Moon City, this one has several floors of stuff available for sale.

I was greeted by sale clerk a girl in her 20's, she started to blush when she spotted me, but she was able to do her work professionally regardless.

After a short conversation with her, she took me to the top floor, where all the best stuff is, I started exploring, I didn't have a clear goal in mind, apart from restocking my herb supplies.

But then my high affinity to fire and with Profound energy as a whole, picked something interesting.

I looked at the source of this energy, and it was behind the counted on a shelve.

Red crystal full of chaotic fire... I wonder can I improve my flame explosiveness with this?!

I walked to counter the sale man straightened his back seeing me...

Good, it seems my reputation already is spreading, and it was only a few hours ago, guess that display was visible to the whole city...

"Good day to you Senior, I wish to buy some herbs..." I put a paper with a list on the counter.

"And I would like that Red crystal over there..." For a second he was shocked but then he calmed himself down.

"Are you sure Young Master?" I nearly flipped myself hearing him call me that!!!, Ying'er started laughing at me from the pearl.

"it's Devils Flaming Blood Crystal, it's incredibly volatile, if you will try to absorb it as it is..." I quickly waved him off.

"I know, I know, I can sense it! Only morons will try to absorb it without proper preparations, I wouldn't be buying if I know it will be detrimental fo me!" The salesman coughed into his fist trying to hide his embarrassment.

"Of course Young Master...let me get the herbs first..."My eyebrow twitched, again hearing him call me like that.

A few minutes later he brought a storage ring with stuff I asked inside of it, then he handed over the devil crystal.

After paying for items I left, As I was walking back from Black Moon Merchant Guild.

I passed a woman dressed in blue and white robes with a veil hiding her face, I could sense Icy Profound energy rolling from her, the thing was there was something else mixed with that... hmm...Poison..huh?.

'This woman's arts are very interesting...' Ying'er voice was tainted with interest.

'How so? as much I can tell it's ice, ice is a mixture of wind and water, both are perfect for woman to practise...' I said after observing her walk into Merchant guild.

'That's not it, it's how her Profound energy operates in her, it has the shadow of True God's Legacy, but it was... well, severely lowered which can be used by normal people without the blood of a God or Divine beast.' this picked my interest, someone created a technique based on God's legacy?

'Ho... so, in other words, there is another legacy of True God, or some way related to one on this realm...' She hummed in agreement.

'Yes... and I have heard about A Star Realm were people dress in similar fashion how this one is, If my memory is right it's called Snow Song Realm, a realm which Possess Snow Phoenix Legacy, the thing is about this realm is that it's led by a very talented woman who uplifted whole Star Realm to next level singlehandedly.' That interesting tidbit of information there, so It's a Snow Pheonix, what with this world and Phoenixes?

'So that means someone came to this realm and created a whole sect? for what? a test run? to see how this technique works?' I asked with curiosity.

'I do not know...cultivators have long life's master, there are many who have unique quirks developed from long lives...' this reminds me a little bit about Gods from my old world myths, who have their own unique 'quirks' that alone send me a cold chill.

As I was walking down, I sensed Cold presence approaching quickly towards me.

In this situation, my senses flared and my body reacted on its own, my Profound energy reacted to mind demands and 7 combat orientated formations were deployed where this person will appear in less than 2 seconds.

Very next moment the same woman appeared on that spot and then... she collapsed, with Profound energy, body senses, Profound entrances sealed, she was literally only alive because I acted defensively.

'Heavens...master... remind me next time not to try sneaking on you.' Ying'er said with a small amount of respect.

'It's not that... she is an ice user and her body has poison and she was dashing at me, plus being Half-Step Throne I simply reacted defensively...' I explained to Ying'er why I just took out a person who supposedly simply should be impossible for me to take out, but then again Formations can't do impossible since I deployed 7 of them, and three of them were just to bypass her Cultivation level alone.

'Maybe so master but you just took out Half-step Throne with nothing but few waives of your hand...' I shrugged at her, Accepting such compliment and moving on.

I looked at this woman on the ground, I sighed and picked her up in Princess carry, her body was bellowed normal temperature which should be on a normal person, seeing this I did a full-body scan.

'This woman is crazy...' I said to Ying'er

'She is shaving her life span for practising this...nonsense... her naturally closed Profound entrances are continuously absorbing and keeping cold energy in there, if she keeps this up she only will have... I don't know... maybe half of her original life span!' I said with disbelieve, while I stared at her knocked out form.

'That's far too big of a price to pay, for such downgraded version of Snow Phoenix arts...' that's underestimation of the century.

Arriving at one rarely used alleys, I put her on the ground, and deployed sound muffing, and illusion formations, soon enough entrance to alley simply 'stopped existing'.

Feeling a little bit guilty about what I did to her, I decided to take out her poison, and helped her with refining that ice energy she had in her blocked profound entrances.

Once that is done I, waked her up.

The woman slowly opened her eyes, then she started to look around, her actions were slow as she trying to figure out what happened to her, and where she is.

Then she spotted me, and her first reaction was shock, and which quickly replaced by furry, next she lifted her robed hand... and nothing happened...

She tried again, and again.

" What did you do to me!" Her voice was cold as the north wind, Seeing that she doesn't want to have a proper conversation, I waved her off.

"You know what, I don't actually care anymore, Arrogant, Frozen women are not my type anymore, I was thinking of having a civilized conversation, after which I will unlock your cultivation back, but since you tried to attack me instead of asking questions..." I started walking away.

Leaving Frozen Immortal Palace Fairy alone, for a moment... as she quickly dashed in front of me.

"Stop! I... apologise, my actions we're too...hasty" I nodded in approval, It seems she can be a taught something...

"Good, it seems you can be taught some manners..." her eyes furrowed from anger.

"Don't look angry at me, I wasn't the one who dashed at me with full speed..." Her frown didn't vanished.

"Even if you Earth Profound you shouldn't haven't seen my movement!" she said coldly.

"Seen you? no, it's beyond me, But sensing you? it was like trying not to see the sun in the middle sunny day, your Profound aura was like avalanche approaching me..." Her frown faltered.

"That's... It seems there is something I still have to work on..." She spoke after thinking for a moment.

"You will have a different problem to deal with..." she raised her eyebrow at me.

"What are you talking about!?" Her cold gaze was back on me.

"First! I fixed your poison problem! Second I fixed your body condition! that ice which you are gathering in your body is killing you slowly, so I helped you with refining it, if My math is right you will be in Third or Fourth Emperor Profound." Her eyes widened, she took a step back...

"you...you, who heaven's are you?" Her cold voice was replaced with genuine fear and awe when she spoke.

"Someone you don't wish to be enemies with...now Ice lady, I will remove those seals on you, Promise me on your Sect and personal honour what you won't be attacking me again..." She quickly but seriously nodded.

I lifted my right hand and did an unlocking motion with my wrist, anti-clockwise.

In front of Ice Lady, a formation appeared, it was a crimson with several Profound Runic letters spinning in a circle, then I did my hand motion it stopped spinning and broke down like a piece of glass shattering into small pieces.

Very next moment the Ice Lady lifted her hand and checked her own palm.

Her eyes were wide, staring at her own hand.

"This is incredible... And that was a Formation, isn't it?, My Frozen Immortal Palace has one for defence, but it's nothing like this advance, You are that rumoured Formation Master everyone is talking about in Capital." I simply nodded in agreement, no point hiding this.

"Correct, now that this is out of the way, I paid back what I did to you by helping you breakthrough into Realm Of Thrones." I started walking around her.

'Oh master...you don't know how woman heart work do you...' I internally raised an eyebrow at her.

'Well since you are expert in this field, oh wise 'Goddess' please enlighten this mortal with your wisdom' She 'Humph' at me.

'Since you asked nicely I shall enlighten you, She comes from a place where women spend whole life chasing 'Way of Profound', you right now just appeared wielding incredible arts so rare that normal people bȧrėly even know heads or tails on basics!, and now you even used several of those on her, and on top of that you helped her with breakthrough few small realms, master, if it was me in that situation I will be planning to kidnap you this very moment' So basically I impressed her enough to start chasing me...

'We shall see... If she loses some of that iciness, and can show off some of her emotions, she will be a nice company to have.' I said truthfully

'You already did that, and that's why she probably now thinks about you...'

Chu Yuechan was still staring at her hand, She open's and closes her fist, She can feel power of Throne flowing through her Profound Veins.

She was in the same realm as her own Palace Mistress!

That thought alone almost shattered her Frozen Heart!

She was about to channel her Profound energy, but the image of that Cultivator slams into her mind.

Each time she will feel this new power channelling through her veins she will remember who made her this strong...

Even now She wants to know more about this mysterious individual, his arts, and most importantly he wasn't staring at her like some slab of meat!

So many mysteries to uncover...with that though she vanished into air, and started to search for him, she agreed not to attack, but it doesn't mean she can't study him...
