281 The Fourth Phase Part 3

Hilda muttered softly after recognizing the young man. He had allowed her to use his Traceless Oscillation and Infrasonic Ray magic structure for the sake of winning the tournament... 

After that, she was also contacted by the same person to be a beta tester of the game that their company was developing. She was aware that he was involved with the production but she had never imagined that he was the real deal. 

Shirley was similarly surprised by this discovery.

She was still thankful for the two magic spells she had used during the last year's TMAC, the Ultrasonic Burst and Echo Blast that allowed her to triumph against better combat magicians.

"I can't believe that he was already at the peak of his career while he was still a student..."

Wallace hadn't reached the peak yet but considering his status and achievements, many artifact forgers or mana practitioners were already thinking that this height was already something unachievable to many and can only be dreamed of. 

Not only their small group have questions in their minds but everyone who was also watching this event online. 

What did he mean by experiencing the same technology in the real world?

Their hearts were pounding loudly on their ears as they suddenly made an absurd guess about the floating airship and the five pillars covered by some fabrics.

After Wallace introduced himself, he officially started the fourth phase of this project, to find outstanding people. 

Of course, he had to consider their identity as well to ensure that they were not here to just spy or probably sabotage his work. 

Anyway, Veda would be the one helping him accomplish that. 

But before all of that, he had to first do something incredible to gain the trust of everyone. If he accomplished something that the two clans were unable to, then he would be taken seriously. 

"Very well... You may be asking what kind of technology you've seen inside the game that can also be found here in the real world... It's not hard to explain but let me show you instead..."

Soon, the holographic model of the Transatmospheric Battleship: Excellence was shown to everyone. 

The model was shown in front of the stage as Ace explained what this battleship can accomplish. He describes it as something very similar to what the Dorssian Empire has but it was even more improved because it possesses a magic technology, unlike the Empire's advanced technology. 

Well, most of the players were just staring at it as the information they are hearing may have not sunk in their minds yet.

Ace didn't take too much time as he soon announced that the Excellence would be sent to the Moon to explore it. 

He obviously kept the part that he planned to create a Moon Base from it. It can be explained next time.

Apparently, Wallace has already built two mid-size battleships. The latest battleship was the one he stationed in the sky to intimidate the visitors a little bit. 

"Everyone, I know that you're curious about the structure over there... I call it Mass Driver and it would help any spaceship to reach the outer space... Watch..."

Soon, some red lights were seen blinking around the structure like a signal. Well, they weren't clear about its purpose so they can only guess.

The structure was a bit far from them and everything looks small in their vision. 

Then, something was sent out and it happened very fast. Luckily, mana practitioners have superb kinetic vision thanks to the brain-boosting magic they all have. 

What they have seen was a battleship similar to what Wallace showed them just now was sent out to the sky...

"This..."

"Look... It's really up there!"

"That's fast!"

"How did it happen? Did you see any rocket attached to it?"

"No... I think that they used magic to lift it up..."

They can still see the battleship but it was getting smaller and smaller until it almost seems just like a dot. 

The players watching the event were worried about this. After all, it was just yesterday when the space shuttle created by the two powerful clans failed terribly. Their whereabouts were unknown, they couldn't find any debris of the shuttle or any corpses of the powerful magicians. 

It must be remembered that the creation of their space shuttle was supervised by a Grand Arcanist and the three sages who joined the mission were personally trained by a Grand Sage. Their success must be higher considering all this.

However, right now, Wallace attempted the same thing and as far as they were concerned, there weren't any powerful individuals involved in this project because if there was, then they would be somehow informed and the media wouldn't stay quiet about it. 

They know that he was an apprentice of a Grand Arcanist and that may be the reason why he has resources to create all of this, however, the Grand Arcanist himself was stuck in the northern continents for months already. It was impossible for him to help.

It was also impossible for other Grand Arcanist or Grand Sage to help Wallace since the Cloud Hawk Manor isn't that friendly towards their peers. 

While everyone was shocked and nervous about the sudden launch of the Excellence, Ace was only watching everything with a smile on his face.

Today's event isn't just attractive to the players but also to many mana practitioners who were curious about this Traceless Hands. 

Some insiders were also watching this closely because they recently received a piece of news that this organization received several top-class permits. Those were to create Steel Knights on their own and build aircraft, spacecraft, and even dangerous weapons!

This was alarming to many powers of the country since private army or something similar must always be supervised by the government. Private organizations were not allowed to build too much firepower unless a large percentage of their profit would be eaten up by the government. They wouldn't want that win-lose relationship.

As soon as they saw the launch of the battleship in the sky, they were surprised by the audacity of this young man after the huge failure of the two clans. 

The members of the Skywalker and Vermont clan themselves were watching this event and felt that this Wallace Ravencroft was slapping their faces for doing the same thing they did. 

Did he not learn from yesterday's event?

Did he want to prove that he was better than them?

Did he think that he would be successful even after we failed?

He's arrogant...

At the command center of the joint clan's project. They stopped looking for the missing space shuttle as they planned to observe the sudden space launch of this young man.

"Do you think that Grand Sage Maze is watching?" 

"I'm trying to inform her now. This Traceless Hand's attempt to breach the outer space may help us understand the whole situation up there. Try to record everything. I'm thinking that this spacecraft would also explode any second now..."

"Very well. Monitor everything and report to me anything unusual you've found..."

It was the director of the previous spaceship launch who instructed this. They were already curious about the missing rocket system of this current space launch but it wasn't time to question that as they were expecting the same explosion to happen once the spacecraft reached a certain height. 

Unfortunately, even after reaching the height where their space shuttle exploded, nothing happened to Wallace's spacecraft...
