Chapter 411 - Progress

Avalon did as it was instructed and conducted a thorough investigation about the situation of Montego. 

During the battle between the Black Sovereign and the allied forces yesterday, the satellite vision they have was disrupted and the A.I. was unable to monitor the event until a few hours after.​​

What it had only seen was the aftermath of the battle between the two forces and can barely help determine the events that occurred. 

Perhaps, if the Black Sovereign did not use the power of the Cube of Paradox, Avalon wouldn't have such problems.

Three top-class Elysiums suddenly dropped not too far from the landing site of the Black Sovereign. 

They are here to investigate under the orders of Ace.

Then, it stealthily returned to Zairus or Mt. Ravencroft to be exact. It still has to defend that place after it completed its transportation mission. 

A couple of seconds after the Elysiums landed, they separated their ways and went to three paths.

The first Elysium is going to Folco, the leader of the current allied forces stationed here at Montego.

Folco and his team were the remaining survivors of the battle against the Black Sovereign and the A.I. wanted to clarify some information with them.

Apparently, Folco and his team weren't turning on their communication device where Avalon can connect so it was probably destroyed or they've forgotten about it.

The first Elysium didn't take long before it found some survivors while it is on the way to Folco. It seems that the A.I. was also planning to get information to these people as the Automaton approached them.

On the other hand, the second Elysium is going to the remaining officials of Montego. 

Now that Julian and his team have perished, Avalon no longer has any method to communicate with the remaining royalty or high-ranking officials of the country. 

If Ace wanted to stay connected with them, they have to find another Julian or representative of this country. 

Nevertheless, the Elysium is moving extremely fast to visit the nearest city. Apparently, Ace also wanted to conduct some investigation about the Forbidden Soul Art and find traces of it if possible. 

It was too mysterious and powerful and they might find some clues if they send someone to investigate. 

After all, not everything is written in records or saved online for Avalon and Veda to see… There are cases that it might be a piece of information that is only saved in the memories of certain people.

The Elysium calculated the distance as it moved extremely fast. 

It needs to try and find any materials from the Black Sovereign or perhaps, anything related to aliens that were not found by allied forces. 

It had to make sure that there aren't any suspicious things left behind in the fight. 

After all, it might be dangerous for the scavengers or people that will try to find their luck on the battlefield.

"Miya, Ace already read the report and he's telling us to continue with our research. He also said that we can ask for any rewards."

Miss Chamber said after meeting the young Soul Arts Practitioner on the floating island.

They barely had any sleep last night as they had to make some quick investigation on the bodies of the Khrusams before they start rotting. 

"Reward? I'm doing this to help our front-line soldiers. There's no need for a reward. As long as he can already send away these aliens, then I'm happy with it…"

Miya replied after hearing Chamber. She's not lacking anything in terms of wealth. 

"Haha… That's what I'm thinking too… Anyway, let's focus on the second stage of our research."

"Miss Chamber… Aren't we going too fast? I think we should check first if it's safe or not."

They are magicians who weren't being affected by backlash whenever they use forbidden mana spells or arts. This includes the Soul Arts. 

Miya already heard about their existence. As a matter of fact, he heard that the Council will also work with them to lead the fight on their next offensive against the aliens at Stella Region.

"Haa~ It doesn't matter then… I just hope that they can stay strong even after our experimentation." The young girl muttered. 

Due to the number of complete or undamaged Corpse Furnace they've taken from the battlefield, they are planning to use their own Soul Arts Practitioner to wield them… if it's possible. 

After all, if they ever did this, they would no longer be afraid of the Khrusams. 

The problem is that they are yet unsure about the effects of Death Energy on the practitioners. They could even die in the process so they have to be careful in this.

The automaton working within the room suddenly joined their conversation. Miss Chamber and the others looked at it and noticed that there's nothing new on this automaton except on the blue light on its eyes. 

It is normally red when Avalon is talking to them.

"Avalon? You're helping us?" Miya probed. The one who spoke to them has a different tone of voice. Nevertheless, Miya decided to call out if it's indeed the A.I.
