Tim vaguely remembered that when he chose wind-type spells as his second attribute, Topa told him that this type could enable him to move fastest and made it easier for him to escape. Tim finally knew how good the spells were. If he had not chosen wind-type spells, he would have been killed by the enemies behind him!

“Are we back to the city?”

Tim ran frantically with one hand on his chest. Though he was very fast, he was still attacked by Zefa with a Dark-type spell that he did not recognize at all!

Initially, Tim only had a small wound on his chest. However, that wound was eroding his skin crazily! Normally, Tim would be able to easily recover from this injury by meditating. However, he did not have a chance to do so. All he could do at this moment was run!

“It’s obvious that he’s a great mage.” Topa flew as he calmly said to Tim.

“The spell he cast should be called the embrace of pain. Fortunately, you dodged in time. That mage did want to kill you. He even used the Dark-type spell called corrosion.”

“If the area of your body that was hit was a little larger, you would be dead.” Topa shivered as he spoke.

Zefa turned the forest two miles around into a poisonous swamp that was emitting a fishy smell! However, because of the tremendous power of his spell, he had to stop and rest for a while. Tim seized the tie and managed to run away.

“Have we arrived?”

Tim saw the team from Rafax City Academy. He stumbled over with all his strength. Finally, he fell to the ground and fainted. In the distance, Mary, who was at the front of the team, saw this scene and immediately screamed in horror, “Tim! Why are you here?”

“Do you know what you’re doing, Raphael? This person stole the secret of the Association. I have to take him away!” Zefa said, draped in a long robe. His face was gloomy, and his chest was heaving. He was angry, but the advanced mage in front of him did not give in.

“According to the rules, you are the executor of this mission, and I am the supervisor. I came to Rafax City first. There was no notice from the Headquarters that someone stole the secret.” Raphael replied calmly.

The Mage Association’s Headquarters was afraid that there would be another battle between powerful mages, which was a waste of the mage power in Moore Republic so it specially assigned Raphael, a descendant of the Headquarters, to oversee this mission.

When Raphael found that Tim was a beginner mage who cultivated both the wind and fire spells but was able to withstand Zefa’s attack and run back to the city, he thought Tim was a talent and wanted to protect him.

Raphael was not familiar with Zefa. He thought he was just doing his duty impartially and that he had the responsibility to protect the future young generation of the Moore Republic.

“I’m a great mage. I’m much more valuable than this beginner mage.” Zefa held back his anger and a black ball of light appeared in his hand as if he was ready to attack at any moment.

Although Raphael knew that he was less powerful than Zefa, he still said calmly, “Look at this.”

He pointed to a transparent badge on his shoulder and continued, “This is a recording instrument issued by the Association. All communication between us has been sent to the Headquarters. If you insist on taking away this young man, I’m afraid we need to fight.”

Zefa gritted his teeth and took a few steps forward, but after a while, he turned around and left in anger. The force was so strong that even the door frame was slightly deformed!

Raphael calmly added, “That mage is in a coma. If you want to kill him, I suggest you report it to the Association Headquarters. They will give you an answer after a discussion.”

“F*ck off!” Zefa roared furiously. He knew that forcefully killing Tim here was equivalent to going against the Headquarters. But…

‘The benefits of my cooperation with that magical beast are not enough to make me pay such a huge price.’ he thought.

To his relief, according to Raphael, the mage who peeked at him was still unconscious, so his identity hadn’t been exposed for the time being.

‘I need to spend some money now.’

Zefa calmed down and decided to gather the mages from his faction and put pressure on the Headquarters together.

He felt distressed as he took out a teleportation scroll from his pocket. This was a rare space-type spell. Zefa didn’t know how to make such a scroll so he could only buy one from others. It was very expensive.

He gritted his teeth and tore it apart. He took a step towards the blue light in front of him and entered the Headquarters. Zefa then contacted a few of his friends and waited with a darkened face.

“What did you say? The application is still not approved. Did you tell them that the mage I chased after stole the information of the spells that we created? We must kill him! This is a legal application!”

Zefa communicated with the clerk sent by the Headquarters. Veins were popping out on his face, and he was in a rage.

He had changed a more acceptable reason, but the clerk still said with some regret, “I’m sorry. According to the report from Rafax City, a mage named Andrew might become a great mage soon. The reason is that he already has half of the strength of a great mage. According to the results of the Association, Andrew defeated Valle who was of the same strength as him. Therefore, we believe that Andrew has great potential to become a great mage, so…”

“So what!?” Zefa’s heart skipped a beat.

“The mage you want to kill is called Tim, and he’s a direct relative of Andrew. The Association advises you to communicate with Andrew first. If it’s confirmed that Tim has stolen your magic research materials, we will help you claim for compensation.” The clerk looked enthusiastic.

“Don’t worry, the Association Headquarters will never let a great mage suffer losses. Please believe us!”

“Cut the crap!” Zefa’s eyes were red as he cast a Dark-type spell. Then the table made of the top-grade sandalwood between him and the clerk turned into ashes!

Zefa was boiled with his anger!
