Chapter 130 - Jean Runs From Home

It was nearing dawn, the rain had started to stop even though it still had sparse rain. The cold that grew tense accompanied Dave's steps, who continued to walk to his house. Soaking wet, Dave kept walking until he arrived in front of his house.

Dave stopped right in front of his door. Even though his body was soaked and walked for hours in the pouring rain, he continued to ignore the chill that was getting more and more piercing to the bone.

It seemed he had to explain two things to Angeline.

First, Dave had to explain why he just came home at dawn like this. And second, why did Dave get soaked like this.

Actually Dave could have been waiting for the rain while waiting for a taxi to pass. But he chose to cool off his thoughts and feelings, and nothing could cool him more than a heavy pouring rain in the middle of the night. Although it looks like Dave will have to catch a cold later at school which is certainly very troublesome for him. Dave also hopes that his head doesn't get dizzy and that he doesn't have a fever either.

This might sound stupid, but Dave just felt stupid for letting Ms. Tasya tries to grope his little brother from the start. He felt like a man who had no self-respect.

He admitted, Ms. Tasya is indeed beautiful and also very seductive, no one can deny it as long as you still have eyes to see. But Dave just felt that it wasn't true. And he didn't want to get used to doing that sort of thing with just anyone. Just thinking about it made Dave feel like a gigolo bastard.

Just thinking about it made Dave disgusted about himself.

Dave grabbed the doorknob and noticed something strange. The front door was unlocked. If there were intruders, why were the lights in the house on?

Yes, this is quite strange. First, the front door of the house was unlocked, and from there Dave could see that the lights were on in his house.

If not a thief, then who? Isn't it impossible for people to be visiting this early? Dave mean, who is the person who doesn't know the manners to visit someone's house at this hour?

But, wait a second ...

Could it be, robber? Armed robber?

And the robber is holding Angeline hostage, that's why the lights in the house are on. Is that so?

Why did his ridiculous prayer to get rid of his boredom expecting an armed robber to come to his house so that he could beat the robbers to his fullest, answered when he wasn't home?

Without thinking, Dave immediately opened the door and burst into the house without taking off the wet pair of shoes he was wearing first. And when he entered, Dave's steps suddenly stopped with Angeline and a girl he was very familiar with staring at him in confusion.

"Why did you just come home? Didn't I remind you not to come home too late? And also, why do you get soaked like that?"

Dave just wanted to breathe a sigh of relief, because what he was afraid of didn't happen. However, the girl sitting next to Angeline made Dave's curiosity grow.

Dave looked at the girl. "What are you doing here?"

The girl stood up, with reddish eyes that indicated that she had been crying and walked towards Dave and then immediately hugged Dave's body without caring about Dave's body condition, which was still soaking wet.

"Huaaaa ..." the girl cried again as she hugged Dave's body tightly. "I'm sorry. Dave, I'm sorry."

The one who embraced Dave's body was Jean, his girlfriend, the daughter of someone who had publicly insulted his family in front of his face yesterday.

Dave looked at Angeline. Angeline nodded slowly indicating that Dave would forgive Jean. After all, it was her father's fault for insulting Dave's family, and Jean had nothing to do with this.

Dave finally patted Jean on the shoulder. "All right, I'll forgive. Besides, it's not your fault. There's no need to cry anymore."

"Huaaaa~ ... "

Dave also tried to release Jean's hug, but the girl refused to do it. Dave had no other choice but to let Jean cry to her heart's content as she hugged him.

Dave hugged Jean back and brought his face closer to the girl's ear who was still crying loudly. "Jean, I forgive you. So please let me go first, I'm cold and want to change clothes. I'm not angry anymore."

Jean finally stopped hugging Dave's body. Dave kissed Jean on the forehead softly before he walked back to the front of the house to take off the shoes he was still wearing and walked upstairs to get a towel and wash himself from the rain with warm water.

Angeline gently stroked Jean's head. "Wait till Dave finishes showering. Regarding your request, my decision is up to Dave."

Jean nodded slowly. Seeing this, Angeline walked into the kitchen and took out two dark chocolates and placed them in a small pot. Angeline then boiled water and then put the small pot containing the two chocolate chips on it. She would make hot chocolate for Jean and Dave too.

After Angeline finished making the hot chocolate, she put it on the table in the living room and sat down beside Jean to accompany her.

Jean looked at Angeline with sad eyes, it seemed as if a trace of sadness had not disappeared there. "I wonder if Dave will allow it or not?"

"Let's just wait, because I also can't guess how Dave's answer will be. I can never guess how Dave thinks."

Dave came out of the bathroom and walked into his room.

After waiting for a while, Dave walked down the stairs with his hair still slightly damp from not drying it properly. Dave's fairly thick hair makes it a little difficult to dry with just a towel.

Dave also sat in front of Jean and Angeline. "So, you came here at dawn just to apologize to me? Why don't you just apologize at school? After all, aren't your parents looking for you for leaving at this hour?"

"Dave, let's hear what Jean want to say first."

Dave looked at Jean with a look asking for an explanation. Jean also took a deep breath and exhaled.

"I ... ran away from home."

Dave was quite surprised to hear that. "Ran away? Why?"

"After the incident in front of my house yesterday, my dad said that he had slapped you in the face, and he also said that he had called you and also your family are lowly sycophants."

"So?"

Angeline could feel it. Even though Dave had said that he had forgiven Jean, but not Jean's father. Dave hasn't even lowered his anger in the slightest.

"Then I also had an argument with them, then they ... they both said that ..."

Tears escaped again from Jean's eyelids. "They ... they said that I ... I just embarrassed them, and they said that they ... they ..."

"What did they say?"

"They feel ashamed that they raised a child like me."

"Is that the reason you ran away from home?" asked Dave who got a nod from Jean who had returned to shedding tears, while Angeline rubbed Jean's back, trying to calm her. "Then, where are you planning to live?"

"That's what I want to ask. I asked mom if I can stay here, and mom said it depends on your answer."

Dave suddenly got up and walked to get the motorbike keys and then returned to the living room. "Jean, come with me."

"Where?"

"To your house."

Hearing Dave's short answer made Jean look at Angeline hopefully, hoping to help her get Dave to allow her to stay here, but Angeline shook her head softly. Angeline had said it from the start, that all decisions were decided by Dave.

Jean looked back at Dave. "If you don't want to, I'd rather live on the street than return to that house!"

"I'm not asking you to live on the streets."

"Then, where should I live?"

Dave frowned. "Didn't you say that you wanted to live here?"

Jean and Angeline gave Dave a puzzled look. "So why do you want to take me home?"

Dave also exhaled lazily. "Now, I'm going to ask you. What did you bring when you came here?"

"I didn't bring anything, just a cellphone and a wallet."

"Then, do you want to wear my clothes? Go to school wearing my uniform too?"

"So you will allow me to live here?"

Dave didn't answer and immediately walked forward to start the motor engine to warm up. Jean turned around and hugged Angeline tightly. "Thank you, mom."

"Don't thank me, thank Dave." said Angeline, smiling broadly. "Go on, Dave's waiting for you."

Jean released his hug to Angeline and immediately ran toward the front of the house. Angeline also stepped into the front of the house, approached Dave. "My message to you, hold back your anger. Talk to them kindly. After all, they are still Jean's parents."

Dave nodded and kissed the back of Angeline's hand. Jean, who was already sitting behind Dave, also kissed the back of Angeline's hand.

Finally, Dave drove his motorbike to leave the house, with Jean sitting behind him.
