Chapter 22：CHAPTER 22 : THE WEDDING

Josh was very passionate that morning, he woke up very early then took a shower and he wore his black suit, he looked very charming. He got into Caren place on time, he waited her about ten minutes. Caren walked into his car elegantly wearing white dress he bought her yesterday, she looked beautiful though she only had thin make up. The car went slowly to the civil bureau "Have you got your paper with you ?" Josh asked Caren. Caren replied "Yes, I've got them all."

They didn't wait too long in the civil bureau since they got there early. They got their marriage certificate in an hour.

Josh :"Now, follow me back in the car."

Caren :"Where will we go ?

Josh :"I want to take us some pictures, just consider it as our wedding picture."

Caren :"As you wish."

Josh took her to the photo studio near the civil bureau, he had made appointment with the photographer a day before, he prepared them all. They took some pictures there for an hour, then Josh took her to have lunch.

Josh :"Are you ready to move to my house ? Have you packed your things ?"

Caren :"Yes I have."

Josh :"Let's get them after lunch, I'll show you my place."

Caren :"Don't you have to work in the office ?"

Josh :"I took a day off today, just for you !"

Caren turned her head down she felt embarrassed. Josh helped her carry her luggage and other stuffs to his car. Now, he showed her his apartment. It was tall and luxuries building in the suburb, it was a private area, no one could get inside easily except the apartment residents. It had complete facilities, there was a swimming pool, tennis court, children playground, convenience store etc, there was a little hospital too near the building.

Josh took her to the receptionist to registered her as new resident in that building and gave her spare keys of his apartment room. He told her also about which lift would go to his room, because it's semi private lift. Caren tried to learn them flash. His apartment was in the seventh floor, it had a nice view of poolside in the balcony, Josh had some plants in the pots on his balcony. Josh apartment had two rooms one was bigger than the other, but there was only one bathroom, a nice little kitchen was on the corner of the room.

Josh :"This is your room, and this is my room. You may take your things there."

Caren :"Yes, thank you. Your house is so big, do you have maid to do the cleaning ?"

Josh :"No, I clean up myself, but since you came. I think you'll help me to clean up !"

Caren :"But... I hate clean up... you knew it."

Josh :"I know you were a princess, but you're not now, so you'd better learn to clean up and do anything by yourself. I'll help you get use to it !"

Caren :"But you have enough money to pay for a maid ?"

Josh :"But I'm not comfortable with strangers in my house. So you'd better get ready, I'll train you well. Caren, you may take a rest now, I'll make some dinner later, it's up to you wanna help me or not."

Caren :"OK, I'll see it later."

Caren back to her room, she heaved a heavy sigh "Did I make a good decision ? Why did he change so much now, he used to pampered me, but now he want to make me his maid ? Let's see what will happen next." She got asleep for two hours, when she woke up she saw Josh was cooking dinner for the two of them.

Caren :"What do you cook ?"

Josh :"I make some steaks for us, do you wanna help me ?"

Caren :"What can I help you ?"

Josh :"You wash those vegetables then steam the carrot and the bean, leave the others to that plate."

Caren :"You know I don't like bean ?"

Josh :"I know, but aren't you grown up ?"

Caren :"Yes, I'm a young woman now."

Josh :"Why do you still picky eater ? If you picky eater you'd better be back to childhood !"

Caren got frown :"I thought you still care about me, how come you're such cruel now."

Josh laughed out loud :"You married to me, I should teach you well to be my lovely wife ! I want my wife to be independent and mature woman not like spoiled little child who live in the fantasy land. Maybe I'm too harsh for you, but I hope you'll understand I do it all for your own good !"

Caren just silence, she was very upset she left the vegetables on the kitchen table and she just sitting around at the sofa and turned on the TV. Josh finished his cooking very fast, he was well trained to live independent. He prepared the dinner on the dining table now.

Josh :"Caren come, let's have dinner."

Caren :"OK." She enjoyed the steak very well "Hmm the steak was very good, the sauce it's just perfect !"

Josh :"Here you have to eat vegetables also." He served her the vegetables on her plate.

Caren ate the vegetables forcefully, but still enjoyed them well. "Thank you Josh it was a nice dinner !"

Josh :"You're welcome. Wait, I have wine too let's have it for tonight." He poured the wine into two glasses, he gave one to Caren "Let's cheers for our future !"

They passed that night with having wine, but Josh forbid her to get drunk. He washed all the dishes and she just went to her bedroom just like princess.

The next day Josh woke up earlier than her, he made honey water for both of them as hangover, then he made a cream soup of mushroom and pumpkin. Caren got out of her room when she saw the soup was ready to served on the table."

Caren :"Wow since when did you learn how to cook well ?"

Josh :"Since long time ago when I decided to get out of the house. Here drink honey water first."

Josh :"You'd better prepare for yourself this week end for Hawk and Megumi wedding."

Caren :"Yes, what should I give to them ?"

Josh :"No need, just your present will make them happy."

Caren :"OK, I'll prepare well."

Josh :"You have to prepare to see my mom also, your mother in law ! That's the most important."

Caren :"Yes I will, don't worry."

Josh :"Today I take day off again. I want to take you out of town."

Caren :"Where ?"

Josh :"You'll know it. Now finish your breakfast, and this time you do the dishes !"

Caren heaved a heavy sigh, "Oh no, my maid time have just been started now."

Josh took her to the countryside to had hiking, she actually didn't like hiking but she know it's good for health and somehow could make them getting closer to each other. They took a rest in the hill side and enjoying the scenery around the lake and the fresh air just freshen up their day. Josh took her to ride on a boat, then he took her to ride a horse, since she never rode a horse before they rode the horse together. She held the rope tightly, Josh held her hands and the rope also, she felt awkward, but they were very close to each other she could feel his breath in her ears. She was very happy that day, she could feel Josh's warm touch that she longing for long time. When they were about to go back, Josh stopped by on chinese medicine store, she told Caren to buy jasmine tea his mom favorite, he told her to give it to her when they would meet each other this week end.

Hawk had prepared well for his wedding, he took two days off. The wedding would be held on his hometown. Josh went back to his hometown two days before the wedding, he introduced Caren to his mom as his wife.

Josh :"Mom, this is my wife Caren, and this is my mom."

Jenny :"You're a bad boy ! How come you tell me just now that you've married ?"

Caren :"Hi Mrs. Wu, I'm Caren Liu. Nice to meet you !"

Jenny :"Nice to meet you young lady. But what did you call me just now ?"

Caren :"mmm Mrs. Wu ? Am I wrong ?"

Jenny :"That's my name, but don't you should call me mom ?" She smiled warmly and cares her hair.

Caren smiled, she got embarrassed :"I'm sorry, I don't get use to it, since it's our first meeting."

Jenny :"Don't worry my child, just get use to it slowly."

Caren :"I don't have a mom since I was a child, so made me awkward to call mom also, but I'll try my best. Here are some tea for you mom."

Jenny :"Oh thank you so much, how do you know I like tea ? Oh so sorry to heard about your mom. I'll try my best to be your mom Caren .... isn't it your name ?"

Caren :"Yes, sorry for being rude before mom."

Jenny :"If I'm not mistaken I've heard about your name before, I think Meg ever said about you before ? Where is Meg ?"

Caren :"Oh yes, Meg had lived at my house once, it was very long time ago, while Josh still work under my dad's company."

Jenny :"Ouw so that's the story started I think." She could guessing some story on her mind now. She had thought her son had fallen in love since long time ago. "Ah my son is just like his dad, a very faithful person !" Megumi came and she greeted Caren, they hugged each other and smiled happily.

Meg :"Ah you finally married josh ?"

Caren :"Yes, but we agreed not to have party, just registered our marriage."

Meg :"But why ? I thought you like parties ?"

Caren :"My father just died not so long ago, and his company now in chaos, I think I should save the money."

Meg :"Oh I see. But don't worry, I believe Josh will restore it someday !"

Caren :"Yes, I believe he will."

Meg :"Let's get some rest first, We will have long journey tomorrow !"
