Chapter 6：CHAPTER 6 : THE PROJECT

Josh now had been busy with the new project his boss told him before. That day he went with his boss and the other to see the ship. While his boss was negotiating about the price, he and Hawk inspected the ship. There he met his friend Philip "Hi Phil, why are you here ?" Phil surprised to see Josh "This is my boss ship that is going to sale, why are you here ?"

Josh :"My boss wants to buy this ship, he told me to inspect it."

Phil :"OK, you may start, I believe in you Josh. This ship is quite old, but in your hand it can be a new ship !" He gave him his thumb.

They went back to the office and Josh back to his work place. He wasn't pick up Caren from school anymore since he got busy with the new project, but he still gave her tutoring twice a week.

It's school holiday now, Caren and her friends agreed to had a camping near the mountain. She asked Josh to joint them on that week end. Josh refused at first, but Caren didn't stop begging him. His heart melted and he went together with them the next day. He helped them pitching tents and set up the fire. The girls was so excited to see Josh that day, he was like prince of charming to them. Caren was very proud to show Josh to her friends. Josh was the only male on that camping ground. He felt inconvenience being the center of their attention. So he moved away a bit far from them.

He layed down on the grass watching the night sky with some sparkling stars, he saw a comet suddenly falling from the sky. He felt relax and enjoyed that night alone. Caren saw him from far, then she went beside him. He was surprised "What are you doing here ? Don't you play along with your friends ?" Caren sit beside him "I wanna accompany you, I saw you alone here."

Josh :"I don't need your company, just go with your friend, ignore me !"

Caren :"No, I want to be with you for a while."

Caren layed down beside him and they watching the stars together with silence. She was very happy just stay beside him that night. Josh couldn't say anything but deep down in his heart he felt warm.

They packed up the next day and went back home. Caren satisfied with their trip and spent the night together with Josh.

Now Josh back to his work again repairing and fixing the body of the ship they just bought. They sometime did overtime work to finish the job faster. Doug was amazed with their effort and hard working. The ship looked sparkling like a new ship. Now it's time to test the ship. Doug tried the ship by himself together with Josh and Hawk. They sailed to other city for a week and the ship was sailing nicely with the nice weather. When they got into the city, they looked around for another ship to buy at that city. Doug was looking for actual price of the ship. When he heard the price of his ship about 10 million his eyes got widened "Wow it's a good price to start with, but I'll raise the price first" he said to himself. He than told Josh and Hawk to looked around for the other ship that offered to sale. If the price was good and the condition was not too bad Doug wanted to buy it after he sold their ship. While Doug tried to find the buyer of his ship, Josh and Hawk was looking for another ship to buy. They stayed at that city for a week. And finally Doug found the good buyer of his ship with the highest price at 11 million. Doug was very happy that day, he treated Josh and Hawk to a nice fine dinning restaurant. The next day Doug made deal with the other ship seller to bought an old ship in cheaper price at 7 million, with the help of Josh and Hawk to choose which ship was better to buy. Josh and Hawk then worked fast to do some repairing so that the ship could sailed back to their city.

When they sailed back the sea was stormy and Josh got panicked because the ship condition not too good. But Hawk calmed him down, then they both worked together to stabilized the ship from the storm. Finally they could passed the storm, and they anchored in their hometown with some damages of the ship. Josh heaved a heavy sigh "It's going to be a looong way to work with this ship !" He talked to Hawk. Hawk replied "Yes indeed, prepare to work overtime in the upcoming weeks !"

Josh was getting closer with Hawk as they worked together each day. Hawk no longer saw him as his rival. They became good friends now, hand in hand working together and help each other. Hawk slowly open up his heart to him, as for Josh he was originally a friendly guy. They shared their experience at worked, Josh was very appreciate Hawk as his senior, he had so many work experiences which can be beneficial to Josh.

That night they worked overtime again. They were resting for dinner, when someone came, she was a woman with nice figure. "Hawk are you not coming home again tonight ?" The woman approached Hawk.

Hawk :"Looks like I can't make it today. What are you doing here Marcia ?"

Marcia :"I miss you so much honey !" she hugged Hawk's back.

Josh was there and he felt awkward suddenly.

Josh :"Hawk I'll back to the ship now, you finished your business here first."

Hawk :"OK, see you later."

Marcia :"Who was that young man ? I never saw him before ?"

Hawk :"Oh, he's new worker but he's good. Why, are you interested on him ?"

Marcia :"He's indeed very charming young man."

Hawk :"Don't you dare touch him !"

Marcia :"Why ?"

Hawk :"You're mine remember ? OK see you tomorrow, I have to go back to work now."

Hawk kissed her lips then he left to his workplace. Marcia saw him went away, then she got back to her boarding house. She couldn't get sleep easily that night, Josh's face haunted her mind all night. She got enchanted by his looks and his muscular body. She decided to visit Hawk again the next day.
