Chapter 411 - His Life was not in Danger

As soon as she heard the news, Xu Yilan immediately went to Y City to look at her daughter. Assistant Huo waited for her outside and was briefed of the situation as she arrived. 

Looking at her daughter dressed in the hospital outfit, and her lifeless expression, Xu Yilan felt a tug at her heart.

"Yao Yao." She pressed back her sob and went to her daughter's side.

Li Qin Yao lifted her head and stared at her mother in a daze. It took her five seconds to snapped out of her trance and she soon noticed that her mother was in front of her. "Ma."

Xu Yilan breathed in relief once her daughter responded. She pulled the girl into her embrace and kissed the top of her head. "What happened? I received a call. They said you were in the hospital."

"I'm fine," Li Qin Yao shook her head. "It's Yu Han. He was in an accident and was in the operating room." A light came to her eyes. "That's right. Grandfather said that he was out of surgery. Ma, I want to go and see him."

"Yao Yao, you can't get down," Xu Yilan stopped her from going off the bed. "The doctor told you to rest, remember?" She hugged her daughter tightly and patted at her head. "Yao Yao, be strong. Don't forget that you are still carrying a child."

Li Qin Yao clenched her hands tightly at her mother's blouse and squeezed her eyes shut. A whimper escaped her as she tried her best to suppress her tears.

"I will talk to the doctor and find out what happened to Yu Han, alright?" Xu Yilan coaxed.

Slowly, she nodded. 

After ensuring that her daughter would be alright, Xu Yilan walked outside and talked to Assistant Huo. Hearing that Li Qin Yao wanted to go and see her husband, Assistant Huo immediately consulted the doctor.

Doctor Qiao gave her permission and let Li Qin Yao visit her husband as long as she stayed in her wheelchair and did not move around too much. 

When Li Qin Yao arrived outside the ward, Zhang Jing, Qi Zheng, and Qi Ming Wei were still around. They stood up when they saw her and Zhang Jing led her to the glass.

The sight of various tubes and wires connecting to his body made her heart ached. Li Qin Yao placed a hand at the glass window and bit back her sob. She wanted to go inside and accompany him, but the doctor said that he was under observation and she can only visit him once his condition was stabilized.

The doctors were still worried that there will be some effect on his brain due to the collision and hard impact, but they can only wait to check on him again when he wakes up.

Now that the operation was successful, they only need to observe his condition and he will be taken to the normal ward after a few danger periods have passed. Then, they will only need to wait for him to wake up.

Hearing that his life was not in danger, Li Qin Yao let out a sigh of relief and the tears won't stop streaming down her face. 

"You hear that?" Xu Yilan patted at her daughter's back. "Yu Han is alright. He will wake up soon. Therefore, Yao Yao, you have to look after your body as well. He won't be able to relax if he found out that you almost have a miscarriage."

"I'll rest well." Li Qin Yao nodded and took a deep breath slowly. Once she was able to calm down, she tilted her head up to look at her mother with her swollen eyes. She wiped the corner of her eyes with her sleeve and spoke again, "Ma, can you help me to look after Li Xue."

According to Qi Zheng, Zhang Yu Han had already passed his critical period and therefore he was allowed to move into a normal ward. Qi Zheng had also said that Zhang Yu Han should be waking up after a few hours.

However, a day has passed and Zhang Yu Han did not look as if he was going to wake up anytime soon.

"Sister-in-law," Zhang Yu Ying called her name softly as she placed both hands on Li Qin Yao's shoulder. 

"You have to eat something," Zhang Yu Ying said as her sister-in-law turned to look at her with an empty gaze. 

Li Qin Yao shifted her gaze again towards her husband who was lying on the hospital bed. It seemed as if he was sleeping peacefully. "Yu Ying, why isn't your brother waking up?"

The doctor had already said that his body was recovering and all his vital signs were normal. But still… Zhang Yu Han had not wakened up from his sleep yet.

Zhang Yu Ying pressed her lips into a thin line. "My brother is just sleeping a while longer so that he will be able to recover faster. Sister-in-law, you don't have to worry. Qi Zheng had said that my brother will be alright. I trust that he won't lie to us."

Li Qin Yao took a deep breath and nodded. Her hand held her husband's tightly as she continued to pray for him to wake up. 

"Your mother made some shredded chicken porridge. Sister-in-law, you have to eat," Zhang Yu Ying said as she put the bowl in front of her and sighed when she did not move to take the bowl. "I'll feed you alright?"

Li Qin Yao shifted her gaze to Zhang Yu Ying and nodded.

Seeing her response, Zhang Yu Ying quickly moved to feed her with porridge until it was half empty. Suddenly, Li Qin Yao put a hand on her ċhėst and stood up slowly.

Zhang Yu Ying placed the bowl aside to help her. "What's wrong?"

"I need to go to the restroom. Yu Ying, help me please?"

Once she entered the restroom, Li Qin Yao vomited everything that she had eaten. It seemed that her morning sickness was terrible with this pregnancy this time. 

Previously, it was Zhang Yu Han who had gone through this morning sickness for her. Li Qin Yao did not know that the feeling would be this bad.

As she took a deep breath and washed her face, Li Qin Yao found that she was missing her husband even more.
