What a night, he could have sworn he hasn't been this happy in a long time

...

This little bubble she had been in was finally going to come to an end tomorrow. Did it have to end, what was she going to do now?

She turned and tossed some more before giving up on sleep to go take a glass of water. She was going back to been the same accountant who did as she was told, dressed as she was allowed to, eat when she remembered and could spare the time, ran on mostly six hours of sleep daily and worse, bedridden with guilt that if she didn't live this way, everyone was going to be disappointed in her.

She was grateful to have Su Yan in her life, taking care of her when she couldn't do it herself and no matter how much she ordered herself to be calm, the thought of actually going through with all the decisions about her life scared her. Maybe it will be a bad idea, she tried to find a reason to avoid change and found none. All she truly wanted now was to rebuild her life.

She opened the cold bottle of water she held on to and drank a little too fast causing her head to hurt.

She coughed low trying not to wake Su Yan, the man slept like a nursing mother. Everything was going to be okay. One day at a time and everything will be alright.

"Something you want to tell me?" he startled her out from nowhere.

Her plan to not wake him didn't work. "How are you awake?"

"I heard some noise, followed by you coughing," He wore the tank tee he held on his hand.

Under normal circ.u.mstance Tale would never break down in front of someone that wasn't Precious. Today wasn't that day. She dropped the water she held to hug him tight, resting her head on his chest.

"I couldn't sleep," she confessed.

"Nightmares?" he stroked her hair while he asked.

"No, reality," taking a deep breathe she continued. "I made a decision actually two weeks ago, to make some changes concerning my life. What if it doesn't work out for me as I planned. What if its nothing but a rash decision. I feel lost... and a little scared." she admitted.

Su Yan smiled. This might well be the first time she was admitting to feeling vulnerable without him trying to take her there.

"I don't know if it will work out for you, I can guarantee you that no one does but there's only one way to find out."

"You are right, no one knows." she released herself from his arms. "No one knows, not even my parents, I guess I owe it to myself to find out."

"That's my girl."

"But they will hate this."

"I bet they will," he smiled walking to the fridge to get himself a bottle of water.

"Did you feel same way leaving home," she looked around. "Coming here. so far from home."

"No." he replied with no emotion.

"Oh." Tale noticed he didn't seem happy about the question.

"I was happy to leave home and I had no room for doubts. I needed the change as you can clearly see," he pointed to his scar. "Cheesy as this may sound, I followed my heart and the choosing of my family butler

"You have a butler? And why did he choose where you had to go"

"Yes we have a butler, a great man actually." he realized he's never paid the man who had a part to play in raising both him and his sister a compliment. He told Tale of how he had landed here by spinning a globe.

"That's sick. Maybe I should do it." he stood up to help her back to sleep, she resisted.

"How about a late night snack"

"Sign me up!" he released her hand allowing her to take the lead to the stove as she set to make oat meal for them both.

...

Correct me if I am wrong but you're driving slow on purpose correct? Tale asked Su Yan the next day. Her time with him was up and she was on her way home. "Because a guy on a bicycle just passed us." she finished.

Su Yang didn't budge. "Make fun all you want," he continued his slow pace driving.

Tale was leaving his house same way she came. With nothing, telling him repeatedly that she wasn't going to take any of the things he had gotten her. She won the argument when she mentioned she might need it all when she came around to stay again. Su Yan made no further argument.

...

Finally," Su Yan announced waking Tale up. He was parked in front of her house now.

"Hey you are back?" Precious opened the door to greet them.

"Your surprise confuses me, I live here." Tale fired as Su Yan helped her down from her seat

"Forgive me for thinking you would stay a little while with your boyfriend."

Two weeks was the agreed time

"Glad to see you don't change." Precious rolled her eyes at her. "Hello Su," She greeted.

He greeted back before giving Tale a quick kiss on her cheeks and taking his leave.

The two women walked hand in hand inside her house. They both had a lot of catching up to do.
