Chapter 103 - Nehand And Ehione (part 1)

The omegas were still fighting for their rights on various planets, just over 20 years ago the omegas and betas zegs gained important rights in the Diablo Empire, they could now join the army, they were not required to marry or have children, they could marry betas or other omegas without the obligation to produce more omegas or alphas.

Of course, customs were changing little by little, but some things like the frailty and physical weakness of an omega were still questionable matters, and that placed omegas as the gender to be protected, there was still debate about the omega's intelligence, would they were they better than Betas and Alphas?

Despite several studies proving that yes omegas were much smarter than the other two genders, but with Alpha in power how would the study have any reason?

If they were so smart who would be in power wouldn't it be the omegas?

Of course, no matter what the dominants might say they couldn't stop the times of change and the omegas and betas took their place, disputing with Alpha for places of power.

Some upheavals were so big that Empires were extinguished and the wreckage was remade to be republics and confederations, making everything fairer and allowing the omegas and Betas to actively participate in political life.

Times were better than 20 years ago, where omegas had to marry compulsorily. They were forced to have children and they (ômegas) couldn't marry betas. If they married omegas had to have certain numbers of omega children to help grow the population.

Betas who had omega children couldn't let their sons or daughters marry other Betas, they were required to go to a boarding school for omegas to be "educated" on how to be omega ideas for society.

Of course, with so many absurd things the population could no longer withstand so much tyranny, so when the great intergalactic wars started, the omegas and betas saw the opportunity to launch a riot and demand their rights.

Little by little, the planets and their empires underwent several changes that spread to other places, such as the planet of the zerg Diablos. In Mu Liang's current time, more than a hundred years have passed since the acquired rights of the omegas in the Diablo Empire.

Already on some planets inhabited by elves and humans already had the rights to omegas and Betas established for at least more than 250 years, unfortunately, there are some more distant and more closed planets where omegas were treated as inferior.

Betas for many years were also oppressed by alphas, although they could join the army, they could not operate weapons (Mechas), as they were inferior to Alphas. They couldn't perform high-level roles because they were considered inferior to alphas, they couldn't even raise their own alpha and omega kids because they were considered bad influences for both genders.

This all made the Betas and the Omegas unite to fight for their rights, especially the omega male and the beta female who were even more oppressed within their own genders.

The fight was difficult, but as most alphas were busy with wars and the planets needed to continue operating, especially the newly colonized planets in the hands of the beta workers, this was the golden opportunity that started the new era for the Diablo Empire.

Ehione knew he had said nonsense, he just felt annoyed and challenged that an omega woman could have this level of fame in the underground. He could blame his superior alpha sense or he could blame his stupid pride as Crown Prince, but it was undeniable that he'd spoken nonsense to the queen of the underground.

Nehand's smile faded and she looked up and down at the man who was only four inches taller than her because she was an omega variant woman, she was taller than normal Diablos zerg women. She was at least 1.85m (606.95 ft) and Ehione was 1.95m (639.76 ft), the gap was small, but somehow this annoyed Nehand even more.

"Oh, I see… this is the famous weak people talk. If you're bothered try to take my title, newbie" Nehand said with a sharp look, she turned away and proceeded to ignore Ehione's annoying presence.

Nehand grew up already with the new rights of newly acquired omegas and betas, although he sometimes found alphas among the commoners who wanted to take advantage of her or mocked her for being of a "fragile" gender. Of course, all these people lost a few teeth and stayed in bed for some time.

As for the nobles who still didn't accept the rights of the omegas and betas, they had to hide his unpleasant side if they didn't want to lose the title, taking into account that Princess Azikiwe (Ehione's aunt) was an omega variant and that she was the princess regent at the moment, the nobles would be crazy to open their mouths to despise the omegas.

It's already shocking that Ehione could say that kind of thing, since his aunt and princess regent is omega, if she had heard that for sure Ehione's punishment would have been severe.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say such rude words." Ehione hastily tried to apologize. He shouldn't have said such nonsense, he is a future emperor who should be fair with all genders and not let his little alpha pride blind him.

Ehione was sincere, but Nehand was determined to teach the crude alpha a lesson, so she just huffed and ignored the other part. She was going to wait and see how the rookie would fight, if he was really good at fighting, she would challenge him to bring down this stupid alpha's pride.

Fortunately, applications were fast and soon Nehand was joined by the other two underground kings, a beta man, and an alpha man. Ehione just looked at Nehand's straight back with a worried look, of course, he didn't think he would lose if she challenged him, but he was worried that he had hurt the omega woman's pride with his stupid comment.

"It's no use looking at her with those long eyes... They tried hard to gain her favor, but they all ended up with a broken heart" the employee at the Registration Center spoke looking at Ehione who looked like a passionate suitor.

"Is she that popular?" Ehione didn't bother to deny what the employee had said, he wanted more information from the underground queen.

"Haven't you seen what she looks like? Pretty as a flower and she is nice to everyone, besides the strength shown on the battlefield and the wealth she got from the prizes, of course, there would be many men and women running for her" the employee said taking Ehione's fake ID to register.

The underground camps had strict rules, they didn't accept species that were considered enemies of the zerg, or species that were banned from migrating into zerg territory, as this was a red alert for a possible terrorist attack.

Yes, all the citizens were paranoid about possible terrorist attacks, given the latest terrorist attack at the national museum next to the Ngozi Public School. Children were injured in the process and some died, which left commoners fearful and agitated by new terrorist attacks.

The terrorist attacks were taken on by the so-called Rebels, who were born in the midst of chaos and war, they were people who came from places that were devastated by war and united to demand change from the imperial family.

The intention seemed fair, but the means used were devastating to the common population. The attack happened two years ago, but how could they forget the chaos, the pain, the screams of desperate parents, and the blood of the spilled innocents?

"She never went out with anyone around here?" Ehione asked, surprising himself with his curiosity about such an intimate aspect that he shouldn't be interested.

"Not that I know. But they say she must be seeing one of the two kings of the underground, but that seems to me like a malicious rumor," the employee said finishing Ehione's application and returning his fake ID.

"Why is it a rumor?" Ehione asked a little annoyed that the underground queen was in an intimate relationship with another man.

"She's just too good for these two," the Enrollment Center employee said, dismissing Ehione from the queue.

There was still no genetic tracking or digital encoding that was widely publicized, as it was a time of war, the only holders of this technology were large companies and the government that was controlling the entry and exit of the population within their territories.

Ehione made his way to the challengers' place, he found 20 more people waiting in a room that had a drinking fountain, a large plasma screen showing the fights, he swiped his entrance card and sat in one of the available chairs.

The underground kings were in separate rooms, they would only fight the best of the fights below, challengers can ask for a challenge from one of the kings after winning 10 consecutive victories or the kings could challenge someone they think is strong.
