79 Part 2

But if a Monster Parade were to happen at the same time as this, it could develop into a much more serious situation.

There was no Monster Parade yet.

There was no sign that it would occur.

Far from gathering, the Werewolves that roamed the floor seemed to not have noticed the deer’s presence.

The fact that monsters that should certainly be there actually weren’t only fueled Haruki’s sense of impending crisis.

It didn’t matter when or where.

It would be better that he monitored the situation at all times.

In the event that something went wrong, Haruki would use the Skill Board on the spot and try to subjugate it.

Even if it cost him his life.

Haruki couldn’t help but hope that the situation would end without him having to resort to that.

【Simultaneous】Shinjuku’s Recapture Strategy Meeting – Building 402【Uprising】

869 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

I somehow managed to push it back to Shinjuku Station

This was all thanks to the continued raids

870 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

It’s very important to accumulate results daily

But boy has it been a long time now…

871 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

Still, monsters are still coming out of the dungeon every now and then

Even then, that’s much easier to defend

So all we’re waiting for now is when the simultaneous uprising starts, huh?

872 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

So when do you think the rush order will come through?

We’re getting more and more adventurers near Shinjuku day by day

We’re going to run out of supplies soon

873 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

Yeah, all of the universal medicine vanished so quickly from the stores

Which team is in charge of logistics?

Shouldn’t they be using a magic bag to shuttle supplies here or something like that?

874 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

Even then it wouldn’t be enough

We’re getting people here in the thousands

875 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

Due to the gathering of adventurers of intermediate level and above, the supply of materials in each dungeon has dropped significantly

In fact, the situation is critical

Fortunately, we were able to get as many hot stones as we needed, thanks to the huge amount that Ichibishi was able to deliver

Since we were having a shortage of hot stones, craftsmen and adventurers weren’t able to forge or repair equipment, which has been a huge inconvenience

876 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

I can’t be thankful enough for that

I feared I would have to fight with my bare hands if my weapon were to break…

That adventurer who got all of those hot stones for us at this perfect timing must be some kind of god

877 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

We should have enough to last us for a month

By the way, I think it’s about time, but are the leaders still waiting?

At this rate some adventurers might start acting on their own

878 Name: Masatsugu★

Hey there

Sorry to keep you guys waiting

879 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

>> 878 He’s here!!

So, what’s next?

Are we waiting for something since we can’t move yet?

880 Name: Masatsugu★

>> 879

That’s right

All preparations will be done soon

881 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

Yeah!

Then I’ll keep my armor in top condition

882 Name: Bacon★

Don’t forget to PUMP UP!

883 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

>> 882 wait lol

I’m too tired to pump up right now haha

By the way, are you feeling better?

884 Name: Bacon★

Sorry to make you worry

I’m doing great!

885 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

That’s weird

I could swear you were trying to say “My muscles are doing great!”

886 Name: Bacon★

HAHAHA

Well then, it’s almost time for the simultaneous uprising

Give it your all! With every muscle in your body!

We’ll show those monsters what we’re made of!

887 Name: Glorious anonymous who joined the Shinjuku recapture cause

>> 886

You’ll be at the front line showing them your muscles lol

Haruki’s watchful gaze caught a glimpse of the rare species’ strange behavior.

The boss sensed a Werewolf popping into the meadow and approached it.

Then it spit out a dark purple mass from his mouth at the Werewolf.

“–!?”

Haruki almost let out a gasp after seeing such an eerie attack.

He couldn’t feel any particular power from that dark purple mass.

However, the Werewolf dropped to the ground instantly after being hit by it.

After twitching on the ground for a brief moment, the Werewolf was swallowed into the ground.

–Don’t tell me you’re killing these Werewolves to level yourself up…

A chill went down Haruki’s spine.

Haruki had never heard of wild monsters training like this before.

If that were to be true, then it would be possible for such monsters to increase their abilities in proportion to their level as it goes up.

A wild monster leveling up by defeating other monsters was the worst thing that could happen. If it were to be left to its own devices for too long, it would eventually become too strong for anyone to be able to touch it.

However, Haruki couldn’t be one-hundred percent positive about this theory.

He couldn’t feel any murderous intent from the deer as it spat its dark-purple mass.

It looked more like it didn’t try to kill the Werewolf, but it ended up dying anyways. Perhaps the deer was trying to do something other than killing it?

The deer’s intentions weren’t clear just by looking at its attack.

Still, Haruki would get the feeling that he had to stop that attack every time he saw it.

He had to stop that attack no matter what.

Otherwise, things would get out of hand.

Even if he had to put his life on the line…

Haruki frantically tried to regain control of its own body before it started moving on its own.

If he were to move at all, he would be killed for sure.

That was how the difference between Haruki and the deer monster was, at the very least.

Haruki wasn’t conceited about his own power.

He arrived at the middle floors and became an intermediate adventurer.

He destroyed a powerful rare species monster and Monster Parade together with Kagemitsu.

That was a huge improvement compared to when he first got the Skill Board.

But simply becoming stronger didn’t mean that he could accomplish anything.

Just having the Skill Board didn’t mean that he could defeat any enemy, no matter how powerful it was.

What was at stakes wasn’t chips, but his own life.

This wasn’t a casino, it was a battlefield.

Failing to be too careful could mean a quick Game Over for him.

At the very least, he should be ready to escape to safety as soon as he was sure there was no winning.

With a huge sense of impending danger regarding the deer monster’s behavior, Haruki quickly took out his Skill Board.
