Chapter 66:Warrior to Hero

With a collective 'thud' on the ground, the group landed back in their universe in front of the sanctuary. All around them, people were getting up off the floor and looking around in confusion.

"These are people who were killed by the plaque. The omni-god must have brought them back!" exclaimed Kyle. The group was ecstatic as they reunited with old friends leaving Abigail and James alone. In the distance, William is embraced by a newly resurrected Cynthinia and the two burst into tears.

"Isn't this great dad!?" said Abigail gleefully. She turned around to witness the illusion wearing off leaving a frail old man with greying blonde hair wearing a white robe tied at the waist with a rope and a walking stick holding them up.

"I'm sorry ... he made his choice." said the omni-god with seldom and wispy voice.

"No ... no, no, no, no, no. You have to take me back! Take me back now! There has to still be time right!?" pleaded Abigail. The omni-god lowered his head. Abigail went to punch him but a portal opened above them and James' sword stabbed into the ground between them. The names along the blade had now disappeared leaving only the flame pattern on the metal. The Book followed shortly after and Abigail caught it.

Opening it to the only page, she read what was written:

The universe is set to a timeline where this book never effected it. All of those who died are resurrected including all the gods killed in the war.

--------------------

A few weeks had past since everyone's resurrection. One of the affects of James was that it was now the time before the plaque so everyone was much younger. Ben and Liam had finally married, Abigail was now officially James' adopted daughter, William and Cynthinia had stayed at the sanctuary to be two of the new teachers, the omni-god and Alcie planned to return to Alcie' universe, and a small monument had been built in memory of James with his sword placed in the top. The omni-god waddled beside it and placed a chair down to sit on.

"You did good. I'm proud of you. And I'm sure your parents would be too if they were here. So take a well earned break. It's time for someone else to continue this story." said the omni-god smiling. "But I never did tell you name did I? Well, it's-"

"Oi, you done talking to the stone? We need to leave!" called Alcie.

"Maybe another time." they rose up, patted the monument, walk over to Alcie, and snapped their fingers creating a portal that the two of them walked through.

THE END...
