414 They Fough

To be honest I'm almost sure that Cassiel won't be applying any sort of team work with her brother, she seems to hate me enough to not care about receiving help to beat me, all she wanted to do right now was to poke me full of holes. And just as I suspected, she rushed forwards, her red spear a blazing conflagration of flames that she stabbed towards my head. I took a step back, but she twisted the way the spear moved and brought it down in an impromptu slash.

I was holding a simple shield which I used in blocking her spear, as I stepped back and turned, using the sword in my hand to block Michael's attack as both his swords came slashing for my head. I angled the shield and slammed the edge into his stomach and smashed it upwards towards the left as I hit Cassiel's spear into the air before smashing a kick into her sternum and throwing her backwards, completely off her feet.

"Cassiel you have to be in control of your emotion, you're acting like a wild animal with absolutely no form or control, the spear is meant to search for openings in an opponent's defense, not stab every which way in an attempt to poke said opponent full of holes. And Michael you're using two swords, in, my opinion that's a waste, but dual swordsmanship is never about attacking with both swords at the same time, remember to always hold one attack back so that you can have an ace in the hole when your first attack is blocked.

Dual swordsmanship relies on speed and slashing attacks, placement, footwork, and perception of not just your opponents attack but his body movements is required. The both of you should pay attention to that and learn to move properly. You're supposed to be in school right now, so let's hurry this up and take full advantage of it... come!"'

I'm pretty sure there was someone else amongst the other dragon kings who could give them a proper lesson about weapons, but right now, in my case this was a chance to impart my knowledge on my children. One of the few chances I've had so far to truly be a father to them. once again Cassiel attacked first, this time she wasn't as wild, but her attacks were still predictable as she stabbed towards my head. I raised the shield, deflect the strike, but she pulled it back with such speed and stabbed towards the opening on my legs whilst her brother stabbed towards my neck.

My sword deflected his strike as I moved backwards, letting Cassiel's strike fly past me as her brother's second sword slashed down right where her neck would be. His eyes widened in shock but he couldn't pull back in time, so I stretched the shield forwards and blocked the strike as Cassiel crashed to the ground, flattening the green grass beneath her. Michael released a deep sigh of relief as he sat back shocked by the fact that he almost cut his sister in two.

"What the hell you idiot! Are you trying to kill me!" she yelled at him as she quickly got back up to her feet.

"Nothing Happened! You almost Killed me! I don't understand how a blind person would…"

"ENOUGH!"

There's just something seriously wrong with this girl, I don't understand how she could be so self-centered, and so angry about everything and nothing at the same time, it's as if she expects the whole universe to fall at her feet. I shifted my eyes to her mothers and glared at them, they could feel it, they knew I wholeheartedly blamed them for this. I wasn't around but it's their job to give direction to our children, but they've hardly had time to watch them grow being so busy with Spero, but I knew it wasn't that they were busy, that was just an excuse for them to hide their pain, by focusing on work instead of our children as they reminded them both so much of me.

My outburst had released a bit of my divine energy, and that was a bad idea as I felt a piercing pain in my chest and was forced to cough out the golden ichor of gods. I held my chest and fell down to my knees, maybe I was laying it on a little thick taking the hidden injury acting a little too far, but I just have to see how they react. And they both reacted, both Cassiel and Michael rushed forwards, to both my sides asking what was wrong.

Michael seemed a lot calmer as he tried removing the cloth around his eyes to see clearly what was wrong, but I stopped him. If he does that he would really be blind this time as him looking at a god with those eyes was a recipe for disaster. Cassiel on the other hand kept asking what was wrong, and the more she asked the more I acted like I was in pain. Their mothers came down, just as worried about me, I let them raise me to my feet and lead me towards the palace. Probably before the day runs out, everyone on Spero would hear that the god-king was seriously sick.

But that was okay, this would give me enough chances to spend time with my family, after the shenanigans with the dungeon planets, the war has fallen into a sort of stalemate. We were unable to do anything for Pangea, and I'm sure David was off somewhere sulking about the loss of his home world. I've never been to Pangea before, but based on what he told me, it was like a distorted mirror version of earth. But right now the universe was in silence, the dark council held their breaths waiting for a retaliation, but they shouldn't worry, for now all of us would just like to mourn and spend time without family, and as for Retribution…. It's going to come and they'll never see it coming,.
