411 Pangea's Dusk 1

Pangea was planet with a beauty unmatched by any other, it only had one super continent and was previously cut off from the rest of the universe by a natural atmospheric barrier that prevented any sort of crafts from getting in and out of the planet. For many years it was so, except for every fifteen years, when this barrier opens up for only an hour, allowing people to leave and arrive.

But much like, most other planets in the universe, Pangea had magic, but it was mostly a world that relied on the evolution of the humans, certain controlled or natural mutations of their genes created a breed of humans known as Psionics; thus creating a division between the mages and Psionics that has lasted for thousands of years.

Just under twenty years ago, a fierce warlord by the name of David Johnson arose, and he rose up during a time when Pangea was in the midst of an evolutionary apocalypse. Lives were getting lost as the monsters and animals on this fair planet began to grow and evolve at a rapid pace, the biology changed and even the people were not spared from it.

David fought through many loss and gains to firmly establish a foothold in Pangea to not only put an end to their wars, but to also save his home from the apocalypse that threatened to swallow it whole. And then finally fulfill his destiny and take his place as the dragon king of the mind, a man that later on built the war city of Spero and the propagator of the Speran war-games.

But right now that man stood in the coldness of space, wrapped in a bubble of his own mental energy as he looked at the rapidly approaching form of a dungeon planet of equal size and mass as Pangea. His heart was in his throat, David has been through so much to get to the point he is now, he had transmigrated from earth, inhabiting his doppelganger in this universe and had to struggle with a fragmented mind and split personality disorder.

But through all that, he had found a way to prevail over all of his troubles, bled, bitten, scratched and clawed his way to power and happiness. Unlike the rest of the dragon kings, war was what he did best. In a straight up fight none of them, not even Kael Cor could beat him without relying heavily on his divine powers, but against what was coming, David knew there wasn't much he could do.

"You can't do anything about this, your mental powers are vast, but your telekinesis is just not that powerful to hold back a planet of that size, or even create a mental blast deep and sharp enough to split it like you intend to do, your head will explode!" the miniature form of a dragon flitted around the shoulder of the well-dressed David.

"All you can do is evacuate, try and save as much of the people on Pangea as you can. This place made you who you are, and since it's a mirror world of earth, it's the closest thing to the life you left behind that you can remember, however! This is not really your home, not anymore.

Your daughter is waiting for you on Spero, and you promised her mother you would never leave her. Just try your best, this isn't the first time you've been faced with odds like this, a loss is inevitable, even you yourself have destroyed planets without batting an eyelash. Do what you can, this is unfortunate, but there's still a greater war to be fought. Do your part War King of Spero, and plot your retaliation against those who would do this! That is all we can do."

"He's right you know." A voice suddenly sounded out behind David, and he turned to see the ever illustrious Kael Cor, high king of Spero. Though he looked as if he had seen better days, as his brown skin was pale and clammy, which was why David unhesitatingly said.

"Nigga you look like shit!" Kael found himself flustered by his comment, back on earth being white didn't afford him the ease to use the 'N' word, even now he still couldn't use it, but that was not the matter at hand.

"Thanks David I feel like shit too, I just neutralized the dungeon planet that would have been heading for Spero; so for all intents and purposes, our children and our people are safe. I can't stop this planet David, my strength has been sapped removing the devourer's influence from the divine souls of two goddesses and then getting their sister to carry them as children, causing a reenactment of the birth of Jesus Christ.

I can't stop the planet, but I can delay it long enough for you to get as much people as you can out of Pangea, or better yet, map an area and transport it to become a part of Spero. That should be the easier way, just don't go overboard of Spero's core will become destabilized. But apart from that I'm afraid there's nothing else we can do." Kael said to David as he turned to face the incoming planet and began weaving a rune unlike any other.

But the only thing that neither one of them was saying out loud, was the fact that no matter what they did, no matter how hard they tried. The least amount of people they could save would be around 20 to 35% of Pangea's 20 billion residents. As for the rest…. they could only wish them better luck in their next life, and such knowledge broke their hearts.
