Chapter 8 - SAVED BY THE SKILL...

As he was advancing towards the robbers, all of them suddenly fired their guns. Being at such a close range, he couldn't dodge them.

( Quantum tunnelling it is then)

Vibrating his body at high frequency, the bullet passes right through him. He immediately stops his pursuit and goes after the bullets. He managed to catch all six bullets before it hit any of the people in the bank.

By the time he was through he glanced back at the gunmen. The number of robbers has increased from six to twelve .

( Can't believe he's already multiplying. At this stage, he shouldn't have started showing his abilities yet. I must have altered the course of time with my actions)

" I thought there were six gunmen, how the hell did they become twelve and they're all wearing the same outfit", one man exclaimed

"Did he just multiply?", said another man

Barry pushes his feet against the floor, moving at his limit, he took down the gunmen one after the other.

When he was done, he counted the number of gunmen lying unconscious. " Eleven!!! ", he exclaimed.

( The real one escaped then)

"Well that's a problem for later", he sighed.

( First gotta take one of these bodies to STAR labs for analysis)

He grabs a body and dashes off to STAR labs.

STAR LABS

***whoosh***

" What the hell happened over there? ", Caitlin asked when she saw Barry.

" And what is that man doing on your shoulder?", she added.

Barry calmly our the man down walked over to Caitlin and sat on the chair next to her and said, " Its a long story......

5 minutes later...

"... and I brought his body here for analysis", Barry said catching his breath.

" Hmm, so this guy can replicate his original body and still retain everything he has on him?", Cisco asked

" Exactly", Barry replied.

" Caitlin, I guess you should be able to get a DNA scan of the clone's body. That way, we'll get detailed information on the powers of the meta-human", Barry said.

" That's a brilliant idea, Barry. You really are intelligent ", Caitlin said.

"...Tha... Thank you ", Barry said.

" But I really have to get going. I'll leave the metahuman to you", he added and left immediately.

" Jeez, he absolutely forgot to take it off", Cisco laughed.

Barry scratches his head awkwardly and laughed as he said, "Totally forgot to take off the suit".

He removes the suit and stores it appropriately and then leaves the lab.

AT THE SCENE OF THE CRIME...

" I can't find Barry anywhere, where could he be? ", Iris sais worryingly.

" Lemme give him a call"

She picks up her phone and dials Barry's number...

AT BARRY'S

"Who could it be again", Barry said as he checks his phone.

"Iris? ", he said

" Wait a sec, I totally forgot about the fact that I left her alone at the scene of the crime", he said.

He picks the call...

" Hmm... Hello Iris, What's up? " Barry asked

" Where the hell are you Barry, I can't see you anywhere", she asks.

" Hmm... huh... Sorry Iris, you see, we're making analysis of the body of the culprit and it was urgent so I had to leave immediately ", he replied.

" You're all work, just go do your thing then. I'll see you later", Iris said and hung up.

Barry drops the phone and walks up to the window...

(Almost got caught there. Seems balancing both lives proved to be more difficult than I expected )

"Who is it this time? ", Barry said ad he walked lazily to his phone only to see it was Joe calling.

" Joe's calling what for? ", Barry wondered as he picked up the call...
