A little distance from the mansion grounds, there is an intense battle going on.

The killers and the security guards of the Allens are in a state of deadlock.

Both sides cannon fodder or 'Common people without any exceptional qualities' to be precise are in intense deadlock.

Their boss is also in a state of the duel.

The leaders or captain of this guard d group Ron and Derek are fighting five elite killers in the group.

They don't use any big gun, for their battle is fast and any slight delay is enough to kill their opponent.

They only use small pistols or knives at their level in close range.

They are killers, not ninjas who will have in the shadows to deal a deadly blow to their opponent when he least attentive.

Although Derek and Ron surpass their opponents in raw strength and power, their opponents are more trained, experienced and coordinated.

Derek and Ron are two middle-aged men in their thirties which Thomas has picked up from the streets a few years ago.

Derek is a former boxer who has hurt his shoulders in a match. Upon closer inspection, it was found that his shoulder blade is cracked.

It also reduced his punch power drastically. Since then it has become his weakest point and all his opponents target it.

He has a disabled father and younger brother and sisters to take care. His mother served as a maid in another house to make sure they can meet their ends, yet it is bȧrėly done.

To help his family, he is forced to fight in the underground boxing rings.

Thomas at the age of eleven saw his battle. It was intense where he is willing to gamble all. After careful observation and spying, Thomas offered him a job.

Just like Derek, Ron is a thief who stole to help his sick mother and pay for his smart sister studies.

Ron once stole from Thomas. It is difficult to steal from an apprentice mage yet an average human managed to do it.

This made him curious and he followed him. After a couple of days of constant observation, he found Ron two important things. Firstly, he had the ability to be a great ȧssassin, if he wished to.

Secondly, his sister. No, he isn't targeting his sister, not that she isn't beautiful.

She is Helen Moon.

She was 15 at that time and has shown signs of being a great beauty. She has silvery blonde hairs and sharp attractively cold eyes. Her curves are starting to emerge and her bust is also taking shape. She will be a head turner beauty in just a few years.

But what really attracted her is her mind.

She has shown signs to be a great biologist and researcher in the field of genetics. Normally, it is too soon to discover it but her interest as well as the notes she have shown all signs of it

So, be offered him a job along with a scholarship to his sister and free treatment to his sick mother. The family has some doubts about whether he is playing tricks or was trying to hook with his sister. After some time, they agreed.

He wasn't as happily convinced as Derek was, but with time he too becomes one of his trusted men.

Over the years, Thomas has introduced around a hundred men and women whose abilities and skills impressed him.

Out of them, only ten are granted the ability to be a super-soldier. The super soldier strengthening agent is something which can give an edge to them, though it isn't without problems.

One of the requirements of the agent is it required the person to be at the apex of human conditions. They must be as strong as a human can be physically, without any powering enhancement.

Till now only fifteen people has reached this strength. But out if these fifteen only thirteen are now under him. Two of them left when they found better options not knowing what they missed.

Ten are men while Three of them are women who are the bodyguard of his mother, Daphne.

The killer's stamina cannot match that of the superhumans like Derek and Ron, so they are getting suppressed.

This battle isn't the final one but one of the many which will be fought before the dawn. So their is no use to go all out and perish at this moment.

If they fail the task, they will suffer punishment. Their goal is the Allens family not its security guards.

The leader among the five gave the signal to retreat which is noticed by the two superhuman. Not willing to let them escape, they increase the pressure.

To help their boss, the surrounding weaker ones use their guns and throwing knives to create an opening for them.

But, the security guards took this time to deal with the small fry. They fall to the bullets from the other side when they lose their focus.

Luck seem to still favour the killers for when one of them died, his bullet is fired unconsciously and hit Derek on his stomach.

This level of injury is not enough to harm or kill a super soldier but it is will enough to affect his movements. Using this opportunity, they escaped.

One of them used sleeping gas around and the rushed out. Derek and Ron jumped back to escape the radius.

" Damm, they escaped. What do we do now?" Derek cursed when he saw them leaving and they can do nothing to stop them.

" Didn't Michael say they won't put all their effort this early on. They will drag the time and attack when we least expect.

Moreover, our job is to create problems for them. Floyd, Michael and Nathan will look at the parameter with boss James. "
