" you are too greedy, Thomas. You don't expect us to spend so much in a little system which hasn't even been confirm tested. " Samuel looked at the young inventor.

" That's why I said I need your help. Grant me the permission to use long-range missile for target testing. If it is successful then you don't have to worry about the nuclear missile stocks of Russia.

We all know that the number of nuclear heads in Russia far surpass our wildest imagination. This is why the anti-ballistic system is so widely researched and invented.

With the nuclear test in the Middle East and the changing situation, there are many countries who now possess Nuclear weapon technology.

There are also some which can challenge the supremacy of the United States of America in the future. Even though USSR is disintegrated the heritage it left for Russia is enough to give us many sleepless nights, even if they are under a trade embargo.

So do you think it is worth the deal or not?" Thomas said not the least affected by the look that Samuel have him and shrugged his shoulders.

" You sure know the situation out there, Thomas?" Gareth said when Thomas when on to use the Russia threat theory.

" There are many people who wish to make Russia kneel down in front of the United States of America, but it is a fool's dream. Hey, you may doubt me now, but we all know an old lion is still a lion.

They are still stronger than most nation's and the European Union is still out there.

All Russians need to do is firm favorable treaties with the other powerful nations and they can become our equivalent. This splitting only cut off those parts which held them back, now they can focus on their core areas and grow stronger." Thomas elaborated which made them think he did have a point but they are still of the view that they are the strongest and no one can make them lose their supremacy.

" We are the United States of America. No nation can be our opponents. With the EU on our side, we are invincible." Gareth told the young inventor.

Indeed with the EU we are the strongest alliance both in power and technology but don't forget there are China, India, Brazil, and South Africa

These four nation's outside of the USA and EU are capable of countering the USA. If anyone of them forms a defense treaty with Russia the monetary problem will be solved.

These nation's might be less advanced than us but their population is their strongest strength.

No country could ever defeat them and conquer them. Their population of billions makes it impossible. Above that, they are among the nation's which have nuclear weapons.

So even if the USA acts forcefully they do possess enough strength to have autonomy over their foreign relations. "

His words do hold some truth and hence, they were willing to listen to him.

Andrew the pacifist asked another question, "According to you if we use your system then how many of these systems will be required to protect the United States of America from missile threats. And, how long will it be effective? "

Thomas was in thoughts doing calculations about the number necessary.

" You will need around 50 anti-ballistic strategic missile intercepting system and around a 200 anti-ballistic tactical missile intercepting system. This will make an impenetrable barrier around the United States of America until faster and more powerful weapons are developed.

It will only last for about 8 to 10 years at most. Even earlier, there are other countries who will try to penetrate this barrier and if there are joint efforts between countries then it will much faster take five years time or so."

Everyone including his parents was stunned on hearing this. The total cost of this entire deal will be around

300*50+160*200 = 47000 million dollars.

It will be a 47 billion dollars investment. The military spending for 1994 was around 340 billion dollars. And the GDP of that year was around 7 trillion dollars.

Although the 47 billion didn't seem much the cost is too high.

If what Thomas said is true then the politicians and even generals will agree to buy this system. Although it won't be as exaggerated as 47 billion but for his efforts and to get familiar with the young genius they can give him a few billion dollars deal.

It will not make him the richest man in America. If this deal is confirmed then Thomas will be the youngest billionaire at the age of 15.

This made them change their attitude towards Thomas. If he can create weapons as powerful as these now then in the future he will be someone many people in the military will love to become friends with.

Samuel and Gareth were planning on how to become close to Thomas, meanwhile, Andrew on the other hand directly said, "Gwen is pretty angry that you haven't visited her for months. She even said that you didn't even answer her calls."

The confident image of Thomas fell down and a vigilant Thomas appeared. He looks around him afraid someone may pop out from his back.

" He is still afraid of her," Terrence commented whole looking at his anxious son.

" She is such a good girl. How can he be afraid of her?" Daphne said not understanding his habit.

Thomas, Terrence, Samuel, and Andrew gave her odd looks, thinking she has grown a second head or something.

Although Gwen is Andrew daughter he knows how she can be. She is a bit forceful in something.

But, Thomas and Gwen are friends since their childhood.

Daphne seems to ignore the looks everyone gave her and continued," I still think she will be a good daughter in law. She is beautiful, smart and can also keep my unrestrained son in check.

Above all else, they are both interested in the biotechnology, so they can help each other. Thomas from now on I will not be your ȧssistant. Have Gwen help you. "

Andrew wholeheartedly agreed to this suggestion. Even though they don't marry in the future, the least they can be are becoming close friends.

Thomas didn't want it and tried to convince his mother, " But mom. She keeps nodding me around. If we are together, it will be more like I am her ȧssistant. She is too rude, short-tempered, aggressive,..." He started to note all her characteristic.

But the ȧduŀts seem to not take note of it. They take things completely differently. Daphne said excited, "He knows her too well. They will be very compatible in the future. "

Terrence said in an attempt to calm her down, " It may be the case but we cannot be too forceful in directing their relationship. It will be better if they initiate it on their own. "

Andrew supported his friend not too willing to poach his daughter just yet. If she is willing to be with him he will support her, but if not then he will not try to get them together anxiously.

After all the discussion they have lunch together after which the three important guests patted ways and rushed to their bases.

They need to get ample support and use means to draw Thomas closer to them for their future career. They are going to be busy.
