Chapter 12 - Kakuzu

(AN:- Till now Yama has yet to transform into complete hell hound he has only transformed into his hybrid form in case anyone was confused.)

Yama took out the head of the Jounin from the scroll. "This time it's a Kumo Jounin his head is worth 25 million."​​

The manager looked at the head and checked the bingo book to confirm if Yama got the right guy.

"Yes sir, you have got the right person, do you want anything else or just the money."

"I am not done selling you stuff yet." Yama took out a piece of paper from his pocket.

"This is a map that has the location of 8 of Kumo's hideouts and also contains the information about their main base. How much is it worth?"

The manager looked a little surprised and hesitated a bit. "Well… I need to verify the information first, I can't just give you the money."

"If the information here was all correct how much would it be worth?"

"According to our rate if you inform us about one secret hideout we will award you 10 million Ryo, if all these 8 locations are correct that's 80 million Ryo."

"This also contains the information about their main base."

"We already have most of the information about their main base so it's not worth anything."

"Ok, give me the 80 million now if the information here is incorrect I will give you back the money next time I visit you."

"Well... I am not sure I can do that. We can't pay you before verifying the information."

Yama released his conquerors haki suddenly everyone felt a murderous aura pressuring them. The furniture in the building started to crack because of the pressure, many people started to get knocked out just by the pressure. Everyone became dead silent.

"Are you trying to imply that I would lie to you for this chump change?"

The strongest person in this place was the manager and he was mid-tier Jounin at best. If he was at the level of Elite Jounin maybe he would have a slight chance of defeating Yama but with his strength, he would just be seeking death.

"No, no sir. I will prepare the money right away." The manager hurriedly took out the money and handed it to him. Yama loved this feeling of power and this is what motivated him to grow stronger.

If five years ago he was in the same situation and he found this map, the manager would take the map and claim the location on the map was fake and wouldn't pay him anything if he tried to protest he would be killed.

This world was unfair and cruel, the people who had strength would always abuse their power and make life unfair for people weaker than them. And Yama didn't mind that in the least he had accepted it as human nature.

A lot of people hated it and thought it was cruel and unfair and complained about it all the time. Yama agreed with them but he didn't hate it. He adapted to it and grew stronger.

He took the money from the manager and withdrew his conquerors haki and started walking away.

"Oh, I almost forgot, tell that bastard Kakuzu that he is dead once I find him."

The manager weakly nodded his head. Everyone in the black market knew that Zoro and Kakuzu didn't like each other.

Kakuzu was a world-renowned bounty hunter who had been active for ages and was one of the strongest bounty hunters for ages. It was even rumored that Kakuzu attempted to kill the 1st Hokage and survived the fight against the God of shinobi.

While Zoro was the new kid in the block who was gaining both strength and popularity quickly. At first, Kakuzu didn't care about him too much when he was going after the small fries but once he leveled up and started targeting the people with higher bounty Kakuzu didn't like it.

Kakuzu felt like Zoro was robbing his money by going after the target with a higher bounty. So two years ago Kakuzu went after Zoro.

Two years ago…

Yama and Friday were returning to the black market after collecting the head of three Iwa chunin.

Friday suddenly stopped and barked.

"What happened Friday?"

*woof woof*

"Someone strong is standing in front of us? And you feel threatened by his presence?"

Friday nodded his head. Yama didn't take Friday's warning lightly. Friday had one of the best sensing abilities in the world he was the only one till now who could fill Yama's observation haki.

He decided to go around the person because he didn't want any trouble with someone that strong yet. After a few minutes, Friday barked again.

"What he is following us?"

Now Yama started to get a bit worried, he had made many enemies till now by killing geniuses and important people of different villages but the villages wouldn't send someone that strong after Yama in a time of war and weaken themselves.

Yama had bought a storage scroll that could store living beings to hide Friday inside the scroll in case of a dangerous situation. He took out the scroll and placed Friday inside the scroll and got ready to confront the person following him.

When he turned around and saw Kakuzu was the one who was following him his heart got cold.

"It's an honor to finally meet you, Kakuzu."

"Give me all the money you took from me or I will also give you the honor to die by my hands."

"Hell hound."

Yama turned into Hell hound Hybrid and quickly rushed towards Kakuzu and the two of them started to fight. Thanks to Yama's increased strength and speed as well as his Arnament Haki and Observation Haki Kakuzu couldn't hurt him and was on the losing side.

But Yama couldn't maintain this form for too long. And once he transformed back he wouldn't be a match for Kakuzu.

"Kakuzu don't think I can't kill you. I just need to destroy all your hearts, I am not like 1st Hokage I won't let you run away that easily." Yama started to bluff.

Kakuzu who was already surprised by Zoro's strength got even more worried when Zoro even accurately described his weakness.
