23 Chapter 23: First Look at The Tier 4 Representative's Strength

Robert proceeded to go to his next class which his hand to hand combat class. This would be his last class for today. His current schedule was quite nice. He only had three classes for today which lasted a bit after lunch.

He was also glad that he had a class like this. Among his skills, his hand to hand combat was probably the weakest. His swordsmanship, sword field along with his minute subtlety was able to make him as strong as a Tier 2 student, but his hand to hand combat skills were only at best Tier 3 level. He wanted to hone himself quickly.

His class was actually located within another courtyard similar to where he had his weapons class. Upon coming to the venue, he noticed around 60 students in the courtyard, but he was surprised to see a familiar face in the crowd.

He found the Tier 4 representative, Ray Jald. Robert walked towards Ray. Ray noticed Robert, and greeted him.

"How were your classes so far? Are you getting along with other students?" Ray asked.

[He sounds like he's your teacher] Megumin commented.

'Shh he's just looking out for me.' Robert said to Megumin.

"Fine so far. I wasn't expecting to see you here, Ray." Robert replied to Ray.

"Well, I'm still a student after all." Ray said as he smiled.

Looking around the crowd, Robert can't seem to find the teacher.

"Hey, do you know who'll be our teacher?" Robert asked Ray.

Ray looked at Robert, and thought for a moment before smiling.

"I can't tell you yet as it'll be a bit of a surprise, but what I can say is that our teacher for the hand to hand combat class is rather interesting." Ray said.

"???" Robert was confused.

Just then, a cute high pitched voice similar to a kid resounded in the area, and it even supressed the voices of all the other students.

"OYYYY EVERYONE BE QUIET! I, THE ESTEEMED YUE, IS HERE!!"

Everyone quieted down, and began to arrange themselves in lines from shortest to tallest.

Robert was confused, but he still lined up, and because he was basically a kid among kids in the area, he was the shortest so he lined up at the very front.

Lining up, Robert could see a cute Loli that wore a blue dress with frills, and had a drilled tail hairstyle who was only a bit taller than him. The Loli was standing at the front facing the crowd with her hands on her waist.

"Oh? What do we have here?" The Loli looked at Robert with a mischievous smile.

"Ahm, Hello. Pardon me, but I'm new here. May I ask if you're the teacher?" Robert asked the Loli.

"What?You don't think I'm suited to being a teacher?I, the esteemed Yue, is more than qualified for this role!" Yue said with a smug look.

"Ah, no. That's not what I meant." Robert waved his hands as he denied the accusation said by the loli with an attitude.

[Damn, she's short. Even shorter than I am. She's so cuteeee. I want to pinch her cheeks!] Megumin said.

'Now, is not a good time for this you Explosion loving loli.' Robert responded to Megumin.

Hearing Robert, Yue snorted. She then looked at the students that were lined up. If one looked carefully, several students were actually had nervous looks on their faces, and there were even some whose legs were shaking.

Yue smiled, and then pointed at Ray.

"Ah, this is not what I was hoping for." Ray muttered to himself before walking towards Yue.

"Hmm, what's your name again glasses boy?" Yue said to Ray.

"My name is Ray, miss." Ray responded.

"Okay Ray, fight with the new kid. Standard rules." Yue said as she pointed at Robert.

"???????????" Robert was terribly confused. Why was he going to fight all of a sudden? No introductions.No prior explanation. Nothing.

"What, you won't fight?Do you want me to do it for you?" Yue said impatiently.

"Heavens no, Miss!We'll do it!" Ray said hurriedly.

Ray then looked at Robert who had a look that said: What the hell is going on?

Ray sighed.

"Robert, I'll explain later. Now, we need to fight or else we'll get our butts kicked by Miss Yue." Ray said with a wry smile.

Hearing the explanation, Robert sighed too. He didn't say anything, and just went into his standard Jeet Kune Do battle stance.

Ray smiled, but he didn't take a stance. Ray just said three words to Robert.

"Take this seriously."

Ray suddenly moved quickly. Very quick, in fact, to the point that Robert barely had time to react. All Robert could see was a kick heading to his stomach.Robert hastily put up his guard, but it wasn't enough.

The moment the kick landed on his stomach, he felt a great amount of pain, and he flew back a few meters.

'FU*KING SH*T!' Robert shouted in his mind as he flew back.

[Homerun!] Megumin commented on the side which caused Robert to be very angry.

After landing on the ground. Robert coughed for a few seconds before slowly getting back up. Robert looked at his hands which he used to guard. His hands felt numb.

Strong. Very strong. Robert thought he wouldn't find an opponent in Tier 4 or even Tier 3 even though he's only 5 years old. That's how monstrous he was. Yet here he was, getting sent flying by one kick by a guy who looked so innocent that you couldn't imagine him being having such ferocious strength.

Looking at Robert, Ray smiled. Yue also looked towards Robert.

"Kid, I forgot to tell you. Glasses boy here has hand to hand strength equal to Tier 1." Yue said indifferently.

Robert was stunned for a second, but he immediately recollected his thoughts. He then took his stance again, but this time his eyes turned extremely calm, and he gave off a mysterious pressure.

"?" Yue was surprised seeing feeling Robert's current state of mind and aura, but she didn't say anything and just smiled as if watching a show.

Ray's smile suddenly disappeared. He took off his glasses, and raised his chin up slightly. His gaze turned sharp. Ray then spoke, but this time, it lacked the gentle and kind tone.

"Don't get hurt too much."
