Chapter 406 - Starry Sky

The incident passed as if it had never been there before. The mistress, the black witches had all been secured in a safer place where those who still wishes for power and attempt to continue the Mistress's legacy had been caught and put into prison while the rest hide in fear.

The Associates didn't run as smoothly as one would think but once Lee Young pulled his leverage, the organization run smoother than ever with no one daring to question his actions or what option he took.

Everyone begin to walk on their own new path and some continue what they had been doing before the Mistress's interference. JaeGil left the Hunters, deciding to take a time for his own self and to enjoy his life where he would be free from fighting or bloodshed.

Min Hyuk entirely apologize to both Seoyeon and Jung Hwa. When curious Seoyeon questioned, "Where would you be going now?"

Min Hyuk offered her a sweet and sorrowful smile, "To find her again. I will recognize her now."

Seoyeon didn't know if it was possible but she believed one day would come where Min Hyuk and Haneul will be reunited again and live a peaceful life for the rest of their life.

Taehyung grieved for his brother's death before taking down his mission to bring back Seulgi from the dead. Yeseul was at lost on what she had to do.

"I'm glad that everything had ended and that woman had died. Yet I feel so empty," answered Yeseul to Seoyeon in the night they shared after the small meeting they had from Lee Young's office. "I think all this time it was revenge that I starve for bit when I have achieved it, although I am so happy I could beat my heart, I don't know what I have to do now."

Seoyeon hummed, she didn't know what Yeseul had felt as she had went through so much that anyone else had never. "Why don't you make that as your current goal? To find something that you want to do. You can try by small things. Try living like a human I will be here to help you."

Yeseul looked at Seoyeon in silence. Haneul had disappeared and yet being with Seoyeon made her feel as if her old friend was still near her.

"Can you help me with one thing, Seoyeon?" Yeseul then questioned Seoyeon who showed her a knowing smile.

"You know, I don't know about anything but that day when defeating the Mistress, I noticed his presence, your husband's presence," answered Seoyeon. "It's a guess but the person you have been searching might be nearer around you. Eyes cannot see all, they says."

"Ladies, done with the talking?" Lee Young stepped out of the room as he questioned when Yeseul stared at him for long, "What's wrong something's on my face?"

"No," Yeseul answered, "You just look good," she replied and while in a deep thought stride to enter the room again. Lee Young raised his eyebrows in action and followed the woman.

Jung Hwa came out not long after and make his way to where Seoyeon was standing. Seeing the sky, his hands slide naturally around her shoulders, "It's been such a long month."

"But worth the pain. Now we can spend the rest of our life in peacefulness," Seoyeon replied and she turned to Jung Hwa when he pulled away, wondering what when all of a sudden he bent his knees to the ground.

The action surprised Seoyeon and her heart raced loudly against her chest when Jung Hwa begin to take her hand. His other hand had pulled the small blue velvet box from his chest.

Seoyeon who could tell what was going to happen felt tears welling up to her eyes. Her heart was filled with an overwhelming happiness that swallowed her. It was cheesy how her cheeks and ears reddened hearing the words or how she fulfilled she felt bit those were exactly the feeling Seoyeon felt at the moment.

"Is this fine?" Seoyeon asked him as if it was a permission.

Jung Hwa chuckled and pushed himself from the ground with his knees to stand on an eye level with her. "Why wouldn't it be fine? You have gone through a lot, Seoyeon and we don't know what future might bring to us but with you, I always believe that things would be alright and that we can do everything together. That's why, I wish you to marry me."

Seoyeon can't help the tears that glittered down her eyes she cried and sobbed while nodding her head eagerly.

"I take that as a definite yes," chuckled Jung Hwa. Making his step forward, he then lend his chest for her to continue pouring out her happiness.

When Seoyeon had calmed down, they spent the rest of their time staring at the ocean of stars above the sky, "What if our child will inherit my power?"

"I don't think that's a concern to be mulled over," Jung Hwa saw Seoyeon's eyes landing on him and he smiled, "I am more worried that they would come up as a carbon copy of mine."

Seoyeon giggled as she snuggled on his chest, hearing him then say, "But however they became, they would be our precious child and I won't love them lesser than you."

"Jung Hwa," she whispered.

"Yes?" Jung Hwa asked with a gentle smile.

"Thank you," she sincerely said, the words were for what he had done for her and the immense pain and sacrifice he had suffered by being with her.

"I would like for you to thank me by telling my you love me everyday, that would be a beautiful gift for this eternity of our love," Jung Hwa uttered and her eyes that faced the sky turned to see him. Leaning forward, she softly pressed her lips on his.

"I love you," she whispered, feeling her head then wrapped by his large hands and his lips returning her kiss with a tender and passionate one.
