Chapter 344 - Beyond The Forest-I

The angered witches went right with his provocation. The left over three witches took the right approach by attacking him together. What they don't know was that Jung Hwa had expected them to bite on the trap he lured out.

Yelena used her magic to strengthened her body but as the light witches had mentioned, Jung Hwa noticed how they were lacking the magic which they always boost of.

When one of the three witch thought he had catch hold of Jung Hwa's neck, his smile went wide that ended quickly as Jung Hwa hauled his entire head.

"I am glad that you don't run away. That will make me easy to kill you." With his other hand on the man's shoulders, Jung Hwa clawed his grip on the man's face and tore apart his head. Blood splattered like fountain, covering half of his face.

"You... are not normal!" Yelena yelled in alarm. She had been briefed about the pureblood before she was given the mission to kill him and find the catalyst but no one told her... no one told her that the pureblood was this strong!

"Tsk, do you think you are the only special person here?" Jung Hwa rubbed the blood away from his face but realizing the amount was more than what he can wiped, he stopped.

"W-What are you? You are not a normal pureblood," Yelena demanded for answer.

"They haven't told you what I am? Did your Mistress duped you into this mission?" Jung Hwa took a step forward. Catching sight of the other witch beside Yelena quickly shrunk a step, his smile widened and he lowered his head before raising his hand. The simple gesture had the witch scream in startle.

The witch had seen it. When Jung Hwa raised his hand, all of a sudden a scream break out and they would either die by vomiting blood or spasms.

It took the witch a while to realize that there was no pain on his body and when he smiled briefly, his vision that settled on Jung Hwa was suddenly veiled with red foil. It took the man another second for a sharp pain to twist on his heart and like all other witches, he fell on the ground, throwing up blood while begging for help.

Seeing what happened, Yelena took it as a cue to run. She didn't know what Jung Hwa had done but was sure that distance would help her to escape from his power. Except, it didn't.

The next second she ran, Jung Hwa had appeared in front of her. "I told you not to run. Witches are not smart but I am sure they can listen well."

"Please!" Yelena submitted to pleading for his mercy, clasping her hand together in gesture of praying, "Please! I will try to fix myself and stop attacking you know. I can even tell my Mistress that you have left to other town. I will keep silence!"

"Therefore I should spare you and turn a blind eye to what you did now?" Jung Hwa questioned, the smile on his lips tilted on the lower part of his face.

The witchess nodded her head vigorously with nervousness. With the question asked it mean Jung Hwa was taking consideration. She didn't want to die now! Not here without even knowing what kills her and she added, "I can tell you everything I know in our coven. There are a lot of secrets! As I have a high position there, I can give you any information you need!"

Jung Hwa hummed and he crossed his arm, "Go on. I will consider sparing you if you tell me what you have."

The witchess didn't care if what she was doing would end up harming the rest of her friend. Going back again, witch are beings who have less amount of concern to their friends, seeing that survival is the fittest and their own safety is the priority.

It took less than a minute and without torture for Jung Hwa to hear about the plan the mistress had where they wanted to use Seoyeon as a sacrifice to strengthen their power. It appears that while black witches were weak in strength and magic, their strongest skill was to strengthen their body. There was a ritual in which could divide a person's strength to them which was what they plan to do with Seoyeon.

"From what you said, this book is not in your possession but rather hid in the deepest part of the Associate's building," Jung Hwa questioned with a raise of his eyebrows. "Considering how quick you all were to lose from me, I can hardly believe you achieve success."

"T-There are someone who can help us. Someone who work from the Associate. It is said that he hold a rather high position there that allows him to steal the book without alarming anyone."

Jung Hwa narrowed his eyes. Going by the information he had, he would like to say this person was Gun Nam, "His name?" He asked and the witchess shake her head, gesturing her lack of knowledge. "And your Mistress's hide out?"

Yelena shake her head again, "We know very little about the place. Every time it changes... last time it was held in a small hut in Geyeok Mountain, at the foothill."

"The last question and I will spare you," Jung Hwa said which brought light to Yelena's fearful eyes. "Do you know the woman named Ava?"

Yelena's face stiffened, "Yes. She was here a moment ago and have went but I don't know where she go."

"Okay," Jung Hwa took a step back, "Then you can go now. I will go on my way as well."

Offering one last smile, Jung Hwa then turned and walked away.

Yelena stared at Jung Hwa's back, and his guard that had fallen. Her hand reached out for the long machete one of her friends had used. Holding it tight, she dashed and she was sure only one swing needed to kill the man, except, it didn't.

In time the machete was swung high, Jung Hwa turned his face, his eyes going bored, "I forgot to mention but while I agree to let you go, I didn't say I won't kill you. I only want a peaceful life you see, but you people just now how to ruin someone's life."

Yelena couldn't comprehend his words and when she comes into it, the machete she had on her hand was gone. Her time had ended when Jung Hwa slashed her neck in half with the machete she intended to use to kill him.

Blood covered Jung Hwa's face and fortunately he was dressed in black which gave him more coverage that the liquid that darkened the color of his clothes were red in color. He wiped the corner of his lips and held his stomach when he winced at the pain.

His eyes then went to look back at the house where Seoyeon was. "Doesn't seem like it will be an easy task," but he had promised to come back safely to her side and he planned not to break the promise.

The fortuneteller stood in front of Seoyeon, on her hand was candles as she continue to mutter short spells beside Seoyeon. Her eyes were closed and when she opened to see the girl who was sleeping, she wondered what Seoyeon was seeing.

"Don't get too emotionally invested to her, Seoyeon. Remember you are not her," she decided to warn her, knowing that perhaps her words came only as a faint whisper to be heard by Seoyeon.

Seoyeon opened her eyes inside Haneul when the sky had turned bright. At once after she was dressed, Haneul disregard the look the maids gave her as she marched her way to her mother's room.

"Miss... please wait!"

Ignoring the servant's plead whom didn't want to receive scolding for letting her to disturb the madam's breakfast, Haneul slammed open the sliding door. Walking past the threshold she came and sat in front of her mother who was having her own breakfast as her father had left for work while she had just woke up.

"What is this disruptive manner you have with you!" Her mother's scolding greeted her and Haneul watched the deep frown on her mother's forehead but she wasn't alone as Haneul shared the same angered expression as she did.

"It is still early in the morning and yet you have come with such an expression and not to forget barging into a room like thunder. I should bring back that teacher who taught you manners for nothing!"

"It is not her fault for my manners it is you who are at fault, mother!" Haneul responded, for the first time she had raised her voice at her mother.

Mrs. Sol frowned and she waved her hand to order the servant to close the door and leave the room.

"What is this about?" Mrs. Sol demanded, "I don't think you are in the right place to come and shout when I—"

"I don't?!" Haneul was surprised that her mother was yet to understand her own doings. "The letters! I have heard about it. You hid all those letters from me, didn't you? The one which Min Hyuk had sent to me for two years!"

"How did you—"

"Madam!" The maid who came to the room quickly bowed on the ground.

"What is it?! Didn't I told you all to leave?"

"A guest have come, madam, miss. It is..." the maid appeared nervous on announcing which had Haneul to frown, a sudden premonition crawled to her heart and she was confirmed when the maid said.. "The Queen have come."
