Chapter 337 - Throwing The Coal-III

Ava looked around the street she was walking on. The place was scarce from people. Silence was the only thing that accompany her walk. At times, cries of an owl could be heard but that was the extent to it. She closed her eyes as she walked, stopping at once and clicked her tongue, "There isn't any presence of anyone here."

"Milady," said the woman who stood behind her, "Rumor said that the pureblood is a second generation pureblood who held an unknown power. One of the survivor witch claimed to see him disappearing and appearing all of a sudden during the incident in the hospital."

"Teleportation," Ava summarized, her feet tapping on the ground crunched the dry leaves beneath her feet. "It means they had left this place," but something was amiss, thought Ava and she could not shake that feeling in her. "Stay here until morning Yelena," said Ava to the same witchess who had been speaking to her. Unlike others, Yelena followed Ava even before thy admitted themselves to follow the Mistress. She was one of the most loyal follower that Ava knew she could trust on as the woman's ability was near the border of a powerful witch just below her by a little.

"Yes, milady. Where will you be going?" Asked Yelena, after equally dividing the people to follow her and the rest six followed Ava.

"I don't need anyone to follow me," dismissed Ava as she waved her hand to the six people who had formed a line behind her like a scorpion and its tail. "I will leave to look at the house of the catalyst. Though they don't have a good relationship, they were also the source of the trouble maybe either the catalyst or the pureblood will drop by there." The woman then left the place.

By the time the fortuneteller entered the house again, Seoyeon had organized all the preparation which circled around her own emotions.

"Don't get sweep up by Haneul's emotion. Remember that you are separated from her and that you are not her," the fortuneteller warned.

"Is there anything else to keep in mind?" Seoyeon asked the woman, her hand holding the spoon that had been poured with the sleeping potion.

"Nothing other than that," the fortuneteller answered, "You can get ready at any time. Do you want another hour?" She asked, turning to look at Jung Hwa.

"No," Jung Hwa was the one to answer, "We decide to do it now."

"Okay. You can drink it any time you want."

Seoyeon heaved a deep breath. Her eyes that looked down saw Jun Hwa's hand wrapping the same hand of hers which was holding the spoon, "Come back soon."

"I will," Seoyeon smiled and wittily grinned, "You can't live without your heart, right?"

Jung Hwa responded her words with the same wide grin, "If you know then come back safely."

Seoyeon without any hesitation then took the spoon to her lips, dawning the first spoon and she could feel the sudden surge of drowsiness filled her head. The back of her head felt floaty while her eyes feel heavy. She took another spoonful of the potion and retreat to the bed. Closing her eyes, she didn't have to wait for her vision begin to blur and her consciousness faded to her dreamland.

Jung Hwa who watched her, gently pulled the duvet to cover her up to her chest. He caressed her forehead then carding her smooth black hair. He removed the knots while staring at her sleeping face that was peaceful.

"I will come back for you," Jung Hwa said as he leaned forward. His forehead pressed against Seoyeon's and he closed his eyes before bringing his face away from her. "I will trust her with you," Jung Hwa said when he started from the floor.

"You are leaving?" The fortuneteller asked as she find this odd, "I thought you will stay by her side. You are not someone who will leave her in time she needs or maybe I was wrong?"

Jung Hwa pulled a smile. He wanted to wring the neck of the fortuneteller and the anger hadn't subsided but then she worth more than her death to his eyes now. "Whatever come over me, I had vowed to be beside her. But right now, she need a help somewhere else other than here and I am going now to fix it."

The fortuneteller hummed, "Go then. Seoyeon will be alright as long as she is with me."

Jung Hwa didn't offer another word to the light witch and at once left the house. His power to apparate from the small hut would be the fastest option for him but doing so would also make him thirsty for blood. Conserving his power for now until the time needed, he left using a human method, which was walking.

Walking to the car, he took out the car key only to sigh when he heard the very faint sound that was barely audible to a person's ears even to vampire's but with Jung Hwa's sharp hearing, he didn't miss the sound.

"I am in a hurry," Jung Hwa said, turning his body to look at Yelena who was still hiding amongst the tree.

"You found out too early," Yelena commented, stepping out from the shadows of the tree, the light fell on her face, showing the beautiful young woman in the age of early twenty. Seeing Jung Hwa's eyes affixed on her the witch smiled, "What? Am I too beautiful for you?"

"Heh," Jung Hwa chuckled faintly, bending his neck down with his hand covering his lips, "So much confident isn't there? I just found your face somewhere in my memory."

"I stole this skin from a famous actress, it goes without saying that you will know her. Look, am I not beautiful enough to tempt you?" Yelena asked with a confident on her voice. Over seeing Jung Hwa, the pureblood he was much more handsome than she had thought before and a change of mind came over her. "It's a pity if I kill you. How about you drop the idea of fighting and tell me where the catalyst is? If you do, I don't mind sparing your life."

"Do you know?" Jung Hwa chuckled, the slow smile started to spread wider on his lips, "I have killed countless of witches and found out that when a witchess took a beautiful skin, the more beautiful it is the uglier they actually is. Right now I can only see how hideous you look. No offense but you should find someone who want to sleep with you next time."

Yelena's smile fell from her lips, a sudden anger came over her as the pureblood had mocked her. "I will skin you alive!"

"Alone? That would be a terribly boring exercise," Jung Hwa pulled his hand from his chin, showing the wider smile that came from his lips. A blade lunge toward him and in ease, Jung Hwa took the blade between his two fingers before it could reach his face.

"Don't worry. We witches don't like to work alone. As much as I want to kill you and take your heart, my friends are also thirsty for your blood. I am looking forward to your last expression," the woman tittered, her laughter that echoed on the forest sounded screeching and eerie.

"I know," Jung Hwa answered, cracking his knuckles, "That's why you are no different then roaches.. Come," He said when his smile turn stale.
